I can do my own payroll.

Pros

Awesome price. I left PayCheck which was incredibly high in price and error prone. The ability to print your own checks is nice.

Cons

Can't fulfill my needs properly, but doable. In order to have my custom payroll with the exact pay date I need, I have to play hit and miss with the filing date. Not fun.

Pros

Support is readily available with your agent sending you their availability for phone meetings and the website is user friendly

Cons

You can't setup set dates for employees to receive payments and it takes at least 4 days after running payroll for someone to receive payment by direct deposit. Please fix this!

Access to phone support with my customer service rep who helped me set it up and ensure onboarding went smoothly

Cons

Setup process was a bit difficult because I needed an EDD number, which the state would not give to me unless I processed money in payroll - customer service helped me find workaround

Pros

Makes life much easier. I like the payroll reminders and that it links with the time card. Also like that they do the taxes for you.

Cons

Would prefer lower pricing for small business because I don't have full time employees but definitely as I grow this will help

The benefits of not having to pay large fees of running payroll for my business.

Pros

After providing the required information, everything else is hands off. Just let square do all the heavy lifting. Everything meets our approval. Fees are minimal and support is great. Customer service is very helpful.

Pros

I like how user friendly it is to complete payroll. I like the reminders that come up on the top of the screen if there are other tasks that you need to do.

Cons

Sometimes it freezes up on me when I'm navigating through the payroll. I have to sign out and sign back in.

Pros

The user interface is very easy to work with. Setup is a breeze. Very little work after that. All you have to do is confirm payroll.

Cons

Some features could use some refining. I wasn't completely satisfied with the program on unusual payroll transactions.

Cons

Because we opted to use Square instead of the payroll included in our business software we now have some double entry to complete.

easy to use I like the idea that all the taxes are paid and I don't have to worry about filing forms

Cons

I have had trouble doing payroll when the system thinks it is not time to run payroll I need to do a few paychecks before year end

System seems a little slow sometimes. Would like the ability to edit multiple addresses, and select which one is on the paystub.

Cons

When accessing the site via mobile decide the screen is not user friendly. A more mobile friendly software would be great

Ease of use for set up of staff as well as inputting timecards each month. We like the option of automatic deposits.

Cons

Would like one deduction from checking account rather than several debits. Makes it a bit confusing.

Like everything about it , employees click in and out and automatically can run payroll or you can do it manually

What I like most about Square is the functionality of the platform. I only use it to pay our contractors but the process is quick and simply. It literally takes me 5 minutes to plug in numbers and then I am done. \`
