This software is easy to use and delivered on what was promised.

Pros

So easy to use and set up. There are several options in setting up retail items. Really enjoy working with it and like all of the reporting functions.

Cons

The system lacks the ability (currently) to accept customer deposits. This is a feature that needs to be quickly added. Would also like the ability to "drill down" into some of the reports.

With Square, I have a CRM, invoicing, and credit card processing.

Pros

Very simple interface. I've had no issues with uploading data to the CRM portion or with running credit cards.

Cons

I wish there was no fee difference between swiping/inserting a card and just punching in the number manually. Are they only doing that so you buy the extra equipment?

Reason for choosing Square for Retail

Free and did not need the features included with Dubsado.

Helpful to use at craft/art fairs that are outdoors and does not have easy access to electricity and a real card reader.

Cons

Can take 2-3 days for money to come out of the person's account.

Nothing is easier to use as a point of sale (POS) service. Consumers love it.

Cons

The cost is much higher than a typical POS provider and as a small business every percent matters.

I have had overall a great experience with Square selling product in a manner of the small business. Large businesses probably would not be interested but for the self-employed its the way to go.

Pros

For the small business, selling outside, festivals, venues where it is not feasible for a permanent set up this solves all the problems. In an world where very few people carry cash any more this is a solution that small sellers should seriously investigate.

Cons

In areas where there is minimal or no wi-fi it doesn't work. Can also hang up in areas of high wifi use. I guess its a bandwidth problem?

Pros

I use the basic square reader that attaches to my cell phone. It is small, easy to use but still allows me to invoice and create reports but still be portable to take with me to multiple locations. This allows me the option of taking credit cards instead of relying on people having cash.

Cons

I have not had any bad experiences with this software. It is very user friendly in my opinion.

Pros

The clean display as items are rung up, the favorites aren't on the front screen, and being able to search everything from the front landing page

Cons

No pictures show on products, Item and Inventory Management being different pages on the back end (needs consolidating), and lack of gift card options

Pros

This software makes it so easy to get paid quickly from clients. Everything is set up really well and clearly.

Cons

Sometimes the system has a tendency to lag behind, and that can be an issue when there are multiple customers at a time.

Pros

I love using square; it is so easy for small businesses to use and it’s easy to pay for things when a big credit card machine is not available.

Cons

There isn’t anything I don’t like about square. You can’t get a hard copy receipt but the email one works just fine!

Pros

Easy to set up and really customizable. The docking system is really sturdy and the fact that it is wireless is helpful.

Cons

The fees are a little high but comparable to other POS software. I would like to see the fees come down.

Pros

Literally anything yoy want to do as far as transferring funds can be done through Square. I was an assistant at an art booth and we used it to take payments abd as long as the internet connectiob was stable there was never an issue. Yoy can view approvals and see funds deposited instantly.

Cons

Probably not at fault of the application, but sometimes would have to reconnect or close/reopen if internet connection was lagging. This could have led to customer upset in speedy checkout.
