" **Overall:** Overall, my experience with Square has been very positive. It’s a flexible, reliable, and easy-to-use payment platform that works well for a charter business managing deposits, final payments, and in-person transactions. Having both invoicing and mobile payment options has made it easier to serve clients professionally while keeping our business operations organized across multiple locations. **Pros:** Square has been an excellent payment platform for our fishing charter business, especially in seasonal, travel-driven markets like Alaska and Florida. It gives clients multiple ways to pay, including online deposits, final trip balances, invoices, and in-person card payments at the dock. Invoicing and payment tracking are straightforward, and the mobile card reader adds flexibility when working in the field or at the marina. It’s also easy to track payments, stay organized, and provide a professional payment experience for clients. **Cons:** The transaction fees can add up during peak charter seasons when processing a high volume of bookings and larger payments. There can also be occasional holds or verification requests on larger transactions, which can be inconvenient when managing a busy schedule.
