People love that they get a receipt immediately and that it already links to their account if they have set up their email. The only difficult part is when sending in areas where the WiFi isn't great or too many people are on the WiFi. Pros Square Payments is efficient, easy to use for both parties. One of our favorite features is that once a customer enters their email address, it is linked to their account and sends them a receipt, regardless of the vendor. Cons You typically need a strong internet connection to use Square Payments, so it can be difficult in rural areas, or areas that are overcrowded with WiFi users. Review Source SW Shannon W. If they fixed the UI of the app and the product creation to make it more smooth there would be almost nothing to complain about. Pros Super easy to use. I've never had any bugs or issues. It makes payment processing a breeze. I've accepted card payments all over without a single issue. it just works. Cons The cons are setting up all your products is a little clunky. It's so easy to set up. What I love most is the ability to tap on my phone without the use of an external card reader. There is also a website you can use for your store, which I briefly used as well. Cons The website had limited customization on the free version. But I ended up only using square payments for in-person markets. There are fees with collecting payments, but they were worth it since they are pretty minimal, and it made things more convenient. It is a reliable processor that allows us to do business as needed. Pros Square is mostly simple to use for someone that just needs a payment processor that works. I appreciate that I'm able to integrate Square into other services I use, such as Jotform, and also within webpages. The reporting features allow me to pull data from a range of fields and pinpoint transactions. I appreciate how easy it is to issue refunds, when needed. Cons It was be a bit confusing to navigate the dashboard and find the information you need. The search bar is necessary to find pretty much everything. When issuing a refund, processing fees are not refunded by Square so the business actually has to pay out of pocket for those anytime a refund is needed. I don't worry about the fee transaction, or really dealt with Bugs and Issue, so there was no need for customer support so there is the value for money, because of it's ease of use. November 26, 2024 5.0 We've used Square Payments for the last 4 years and during that time, Square has made a ton of updates that improve the software. For example, we've used their Payment Link option to collect payment from clients retroactively in situations where their card was declined or the wifi was down at the time of service. Pros Square Payments is easy to set up and begin accepting payments for small businesses. It has integration with our accounting software so we can easily categorize payments as they occur and offers great features like transaction reports to stay on top of your money. Cons Square payments does take a fee for each transaction but that is the norm. Cons The only thing I would change about square is to lower the fees, but they are really not bad at all compared to other companies I have researched before deciding on my square.
