Deposits are quick and you can receive instant deposits for a fairly small fee. You can also create invoices. Cons It's seems that you can only access their support team if you pay additional money. I had to learn how to maneuver and customize certain things to fit my particular business needs and learning something new can be a little difficult, but I do most of the work on the app which is a lot easier to work with until you get the hang of everything. Square keeps track of every little thing that goes on within your business which makes everything so much easier especially with tracking payments and invoices. They even send you a daily report on your business and revenue. Pros I mostly enjoy how easy it is to create invoices since I am used to writing them out in a receipt book. Everything has a “paper trail” and is electronically kept track of for you. You are in control of just about every aspect of the software and can customize it to fit your daily needs. Cons The only thing I did not like was that Square didn’t accept my bank which was extremely frustrating at first so I had to order an actual Square Business Debit Card to receive my funds instantly once payments are processed, but it’s really not so bad. Works like a regular debit card. Reason for choosing Square Payments I was referred to Square by another business owner and ended up enjoying the apps that come with it. Review Source RF Roger F. Fantastically easy to manage and deploy. Has a lot of depth of control in invoicing, scheduling, staff time management, tipping, reporting, and overall sale management. Pros Deep features for product categorization, staff management, ecommerce, reporting, and POS kiosk customization. Cons The ecommerce features are basic and could do a lot more to facilitate the unification of your brick and mortar and online presence. The hardware is expensive but is very well designed. Phone support regularly hangs up on you.. Managers do nothing but take notes... Features are lack luster even if you are paying for all their extras. Even when there are clear issues caused by their software, they refuse to adequately look into the issues that are clear to find.. Cons There are a large number of devices, such as some tablets, that are not compatible with Square; There are also some charges that go to the bank account when declined cards are entered. As a solo practitioner, Square is a cost effective service that saves me time and makes my business run that much more smoothly. In addition, I'm able to sell gift certificates and gift cards online. A great bonus feature! Cons The Square chip reader could use some improvement. My first few failed within a year. Square covered them under warranty, but it was a hassle when they failed. The app works really well and we get quick deposits. Five stars! Pros Square works great for us! We use this software with customers for our band. We’ve moved to an era where most of our customers don’t carry a checkbook, so being able to process credit cards on the go has made life so much easier for us! If our customers didn’t have a checkbook, we used to have to send them an invoice after the gig, and that wasn’t such a pain, and we didn’t always get paid in a timely manner. Now, we can take credit cards and take payment on the spot! Cons The processing fees are on the higher side, however, it’s nice that you don’t have to pay a monthly fee, so it works well for us when sometimes our payments are more sporadic.
