Number three I can get my payments instantly or in a few days. Number four it's super affordable. Cons I have nothing negative to say about square payment processing. Pros I love being able to process payment out in the field or at events when we have a vendor booth. Most people don't carry much cash anymore and this is incredibly helpful in capturing sales. Cons Must have swipe plug in or it can be a little more lengthy process but still gets the job done as needed. Pros I started using square when it first came out. Prior to that time, I had not accepted credit cards in my business partly due to the hassle I anticipated it to be. I could not believe how easy it was to use square! Thank you for making something so easy and user friendly! I also love that it syncs with quickbooks. This saves me money because it takes my accountant less time to do my books. Thank you square for a great product! Cons I simply can't think of a thing I don't like about it. Reason for choosing Square Payments It was small, light weight and I could see it working for my business where I charge at a clients home (didn't want something bulky or heavy I'd have to carry around). January 20, 2020 5.0 Amazing tool for businesses to receive payments. Great for the customer experience. Pros As a customer, I have seen Square just about everywhere. I pay with Sqaure at the barber, at random stores at the mall, at small business at school, and even at larger-sized businesses. I have also used it when I was in a club at school, selling merchandise. As a user, it is super easy to use and as a customer it's great due to its wide availability. Cons When I was using it to receive purchases, sometimes the dongle that would connect to the phone would not scan the card on the first try. Other than that, I have not had any problems with it. I think the pricing could be better, but who doesn't. I also do not use it for debit transactions as it only allows for up to $100 dollars so we are stuck accepting cheques which I would like to get away from. Equipment is minimal and inexpensive. No need to buy expensive processing equipment. Equipment is mobile, and works right with your smart phone or tablet, and with multiple devices. Payment is in my account the next day. Website has a variety of helpful reports to help you manage your income, and a store front feature with items and you can paste the link right on your website. Cons Nothing really. I like this software, and I've been using it for about 3 years. February 17, 2021 5.0 Overall, it gave us the ability to take credit cards at an event where we wouldn’t of been able to. Because of this, we raised a lot more money for a fundraiser. The software was easy to use. Pros This software made it extremely easy to collect payment at in person events, such as golf outings. All you need is a device such as an iPad or iPhone, and the app that is free to download. After the event, Square emails you a detailed report that can help reconcile deposits with finance departments. It makes it super easy! Cons The software itself is super easy to use. Everything is touch based and easy to locate. I really like the custom reports feature. Cons sometimes it can be difficult to find what you're looking for. Its pretty much essential for my business now. Pros I Love the Point of sale features also that you can get free equipment to use for check outs. I prefer Square over Paypal anyday. Cons what i didn't like was the fact that it takes a couple days for the transaction to process. It would help out if they did same day processing. It was very fast, easy, and convenient to use. My colleagues told me it was affordable to set up and used it for all of their clients who preferred to pay by credit or debit card. Cons I did hear from one former employer that they do take a significant percentage of all transactions, so be sure that if you are going to use this for your own business, you charge enough to still make a profit so that not too much is deducted from the original price of the goods/services you're offering. This is very cost effective for smaller businesses. -User friendly for both business owner and customers. -You can use a credit card as a form of payment virtually anywhere! Just need a phone or tablet! -Funds are quickly deposited into your bank account. Cons \-Very little customer support. Unfortunately, its part of having a business and no matter where you go its something you will have to pay. Pros Square is an awesome solution to both portable visa swiping as well as a small business solution to the high rates of Visa or mastercard card services. The system runs on cellular service so you can use it anywhere and the hardware is super small and easy to use Cons The only real con that I can come up with is the interface, you basically need to run thison your phone or a tablet and the customer needs to hold and sign which in todays word is a downside. Another small anoyance is the lack of information on the emailed reciepts, they should ahve a way to add the full invoice to the message. The tip function and the add credit card function was a great addition! Cons I just hate the processing fee. But it's not higher than any other place so I'm happy! I just include that into the price.
