I love the app and the dashboard. Cons The only issue I have with square is that if I have a problem it is hard to talk to a real person at customer service. April 1, 2018 5.0 Pros I have used square for over five or six years and each time I remark on how reliable the process seems. Square has delivered nothing but the best experience and I have come to really trust them. Their fees are fair and consistent. The mobile payment processing is a breeze and the chip reader works every time. My top of List is their fast processing times. Thank you for being on the side of business and understanding our needs. Cons Like I even need customer Service for major issues which rarely occur, but it is difficult to speak to someone when you need them most. They take payment back from daily CC sales. The app and web page are well designed and work flawlessly! It's been a great experience to transfer payments, see the data, and use the interface. Pros I liked how easy to use it was. Very simple and low set up. It has a good layout and was easy to find what I needed. Cons There were occasional glitches with the software but I really haven't had many problems with the payments. Pros We love Square at our music venue. It's easy to add new products and pricing, and I like how detailed the reports are. We have not run into any hiccups, which had been a pain for us with our previous platform. Cons It can sometimes take a little while to confirm transactions with certain cards. It's easy to keep track of our transactions and helps us grow our business by allowing us to sell outside of our normal stores. Pros I like the fact that I can plug in the square into any mobile device with the square app and open up for business. We mainly use the square app for events that are away from our normal standalone stores. For example, we sell cigars in our stores ans sometime hold cigar events at different venues and we take our cigars there to sell. We plug in our square and get right into selling cigars. It is great! Cons What i like least about Square is that sometimes it takes us a couple of tries before a customer's card is detected. It can be frustrating when you have a line. It is so easy to use and I like that you can attach a Square device to your personal devices. The fees are not bad. It's great that there are a lot of possible integrations with other software. It is an amazing tool for small businesses. Cons I have seen a lot of instances where the Square reader will not work due to poor connection. Other than that, I do not have any complaints. I was able to get it to work right once or twice but most of the time it just made It was having a very hard time being compatible with my iPhone. I have a new phone and it still didn’t want to work right. The help options were not able to fix it either. So I ended up changing software. look like an idiot in front of customers. I am very good with technology so I know I wasn’t the issue. I even had others try and they couldn’t get it to operate for them. Pros I did not like much about using square other than when it did work right it was pretty quick and easy to use. The problem was it often didn’t want to work at all for my business. I began using Square the very first time I was a vendor at a craft show in 2010, and I haven't looked back since. Although during the pandemic I haven't used the software much (most of my sales have been through my website or through galleries), in a normal year I'd say 70-80% of my direct sales are via credit cards processed by Square. I use the program for all craft show sales regardless of means of payment (card, check, cash), as it makes keeping track of my sales so easy. I have an inventory set up in the program, so it is easy to adjust my inventory and know what products are selling well. I also love that Square tries to stay current on the latest technology and security, and the freestanding chip readers work excellently, with the card slide readers as a great backup. The fees that Square charges are reasonable and competitive with other companies. Pros Square makes accepting credit cards easy, no matter where you are. A must-have for any artist who wants to be viable in today's economy.
