Cons My only con for this is that payments don’t send over to the bank immediately they take a business day or so. I did get a square debit card to mitigate this so that I can use the funds for business immediately if I need too. Because my website is built on a Shopify platform, I can see all of my orders in one place instead of having to go back and forth between two sets of numbers to analyze what is and isn't selling well. Pros I used a square card reader for on the road trunk shows for a little over a year. The small size makes it easily portable (something I miss when using the bulky shopify payments processor). Their interface is pretty straightforward and easy to use as well. Cons The card reader didn't always like the way I swiped. And now with iPhones having lightning plugs, it's annoying to use because you need the adaptor (plus square will charge you a higher fee for manually typing in the card number instead of swiping so if you lose the lighting to microphone adaptor, you're out of luck). The other frustrating part of square is their customer service. When I first started, you could only contact them through Twitter and I believe that's still true. Review Source BN Brandon N. No monthly fee which is awesome and they have a flat rate for transactions. The mobile app is easy to navigate and use and accept payments even when you are not at your products/store. I love how I can sync my store items to square itself without all the hassle of adding everything yourself.I personally have never had an issue with my square payments. I would recommend to any business owner to at least try it out. Pros Low % on transactions, very fast transfer transactions. Simple and easy to use. Let’s me sync all my products without all the hassle. I would highly recommend to at least try square for your business. Cons I forget my pin a lot to sign in but that’s a con on me lol. Only other con is that it’s not for all business owners but you never know until you try it.
