I had Square 1st and will never use anything else. Pros I love Square, it’s easy and convenient! The savings account and my automatic savings is another great perk! Pros I like that I can use Square to accept credit card payments or my small business with out having to set up an account with one of the major credit card processing companies. Easy one stop shop Cons I dislike the cost of the tap terminals and processing fees. The library of items, services and discounts all from my phone or ipad is perfect. Pros I am able to take payments and create invoices anywhere. I am able to put in other payment options like a check of cash and still send a receipt. Cons I do not like when I open the all on my phone it takes a few seconds to get to where I am trying to get to. I do not ever use the square reader and it always tries to connect to it. Pros It’s fast to use, clients can pay and get their receipt directly, and everything goes to our Square dashboard where we can check sales anytime. Also, the fees are clear and not too expensive. Cons Until now we didn’t really face any issues or disadvantages, everything works good for what we need, and it helps us stay organized without spending too much time on it. Pros I like that I can be anywhere anytime and use square to allow customers to make payments Cons what i dislike the most and it isn't just square its all processing of credit card payment, the credit card fees that are added to the payments. Most of our events are run by volunteers and the Square system is simple enough to teach on the fly, but dependable enough to rely on. I love it. Pros We use Square for all major events because it's dependable, fast, and easy to use. One of our Festivals has around 30,000 attendees annually, and we run the entire POS off of Square including: Merch tent, 3 different bar locations, Gyutaku, Boat Building, Special Stages, and food vendors. It is easy to use and processes payments quickly. Receipts are sent easily and no fuss. Pros I love that Square is quickly becoming a commonly used method of payment for vendors that we contract through. It is easy to use and on the go. Cons No real issues with Square, it does seem to be pretty heavily dependent on WiFi or Cellular access at the mobile level and that can sometimes be a hinderance during outages. When they have cash app or Zelle or Venmo I prefer to use those due to the fees. Pros Ease of invoicing and payment options! Can easily connect with cash app. Cons The transaction charges are tough to swallow When one can use cash app it is best to just have them do that or Zelle or Venmo.
