Pros: It can catch most of the grammatic and spelling errors. I particularly like the fact that this service works across multiple environments: desktop, web application, and browser extensions. My language activity can be passively monitored in daily life without the need of actual working, so I have a lot of chances to improve my English writing skill. Plus, Grammarly occasionally send statistics of your language performance in comparison to other users so that you can see what is your weaknesses and strengths. Grammarly has suggested a great deal of academic words to replace informal words in my reports, I highly evaluate the software's language intelligence. I have also used the Grammarly editor. The interface is very minimal, very zen, distraction-free, I really like that!

Cons: Although the software is really smart when it points out my faults, sometimes I do not advocate its overuse of simplicity. Grammarly always tries to break my sentence into smaller statements. If you write blogs or novels, that may be necessary. However, that does not hold true in any case. Technical documents require run-on sentences to fully describe a concept or a term. Breaking sentences simply makes the description very disruptive, but Grammarly keeps telling me to simplify! That's really frustrating.

Grammarly also lacks of integration with other apps. Grammarly is developed to be a language checker, so investment in the editor can be minimal. But the fact that I cannot use Grammarly with Microsoft Word or LibreOffice is super inconvenient. This missing service, if released, will be a huge step for Grammarly.

Right now it only supports English. I expect to see more languages to come, so the cost of a Grammarly membership is actually worth it.

Lastly, using Grammarly in daily tasks like writing a Facebook status might be a good idea to learn English, but it raises some privacy concerns about the data Grammarly might be able to collect.

Pros: Grammarly Business provides much better spelling and grammar editing than Microsoft Word or Google Docs, and is really helpful for emails and memos. My favorite feature is the plug-in support for Grammarly in my browser, so wherever I am typing something, Grammarly is there to help.

My other favorite feature is the fun/flashy data analytics page. Being able to see how Grammarly helps my team write (corrections, words checked, etc), is pretty cool. Does it add that much productive value? Not sure, but it's definitely cool to see.

Cons: Grammarly is powerful and helpful, but can be tricky for certain use cases. For example, Grammarly still does not handle academic and technical writing as well as it could. When wording has to be super specific, or when syntax is very formal, Grammarly almost always throws a fit saying things could be simplified.

Also, we've had some compatibility issues with Grammarly Business in the past, but they recently got better. Not sure this is a permanent fix or not, but just be aware that some users might have issues.

Overall: Grammarly helps me write faster and with fewer errors. Being able to use it across applications and contexts is also very helpful.

Pros: The teaching and learning aspect. Instead of just verifying your spelling and offering you the correct spelling, Grammarly analyzes your sentence structure and provides the correct spelling as well as grammar and then shows you why what you wrote is wrong and HOW to fix it. Plus, this tracks what you are typing everywhere: email, computer programs, online. No other program I have used can do this. I also love the email summarizes you get at the end of the week that give you an overview of your writing as a whole, from mistakes to vocab usage. Best program out there IMO.

Cons: Sometimes the grammar checker gets in the way. However, you can turn the feature off, so this isn't too concerning. Obviously, to get the most out of this program you need to pay for it. I wish it could check grammar and spelling in Google Docs.

Overall: The ability to check my spelling and grammar whenever and wherever I am online. It is also a huge benefit and learning tool for students to gauge where they are and what they need to work on. Grammar is usually difficult to teach and not very exciting, this is more personalized and often takes the stink out on it. Plus it monitors the students when they are away from class.

Pros: 1. At first I was satisfied with Microsoft internal auto correct and spell checker but one day I was posting something on Facebook and then I realized the need of spell check and autocorrect functionality right whithin the facebook post and I started looking the solution and then I found Grammarly chrome extension and my life became easier from then.

2. Then I started using it on my day to day life like in documents, emails and it was perfect for Correcting error correcting grammar mistakes, suggesting synonymous.

3. Now comes the Grammarly for business solutions here entire team can use the functionality I just explained above.

4. Very good support from extension to desktop app to inbuilt MS Office it works everywhere.

Cons: It provides great service but for these auto correct and spell check they should lower the price.

Grammarly follow the english language rule of USA it might suggest some spelling in USA format than UK.

Overall: It gives me errorless writing in emails documents presentation and what not.

It makes my sentence alive by using god and appropriate words that impact on people.

It really saves a lot of my time.

Pros: I am a Mac user. This is an awesome software. I love it so much. It is really helpful for non-native English speakers, especially International students.

It has Mac Client and Web browser plugins. I can benefit from it no matter where I write English. For example, I write this reviews in Chrome with the help of Grammarly. It is able to correct my grammar mistake immediately and precisely. Because of it, I don't need to worry about my grammar anymore when I am writing English. I can now focus on the content of my essays and Emails. As a result, my writing efficiency raises a lot.

After using Grammarly several months, I trust it more and more. I will check my writings with Grammarly every time I finish writing. I also learn a lot of better ways to express myself clearly in writing. This helps me improve my writing skills. Now, I make fewer mistakes at the first time I check my writings than before.

Cons: Although the grammar correcting functionality is precise and efficient, the edit interface and functionality of Mac client still needs improvement. In Mac client, it is difficult to change font features or lines space, etc. So I will write and edit in Microsoft Word and copy the final version to Mac client to check grammar mistakes.

If I can write or edit directly in Mac client conveniently, it must be a consistent writing experience.

Grammarly improves your writing and makes you look good.

Pros: This is a tool that we as a team use all the time. We use it for improving the quality of our internal communication via emails, reports as well as external communication - newsletters and blog posts. Grammarly sits on your browser as an extension and also comes in other forms - There is an online version, a standalone desktop tool and also a plugin for MS Word. What it does is it instantly offers suggestions by underlining detected areas of improvements with a red line. It can detect spelling errors and grammatical errors and offers suggestions on how to improve them.

Cons: There is nothing wrong with this tool. It works perfectly. My only issue is that it does not work on all writing software. For example, I once had to work with LibreOffice docs but to get Grammarly to scan the content, I had to copy and paste.

Overall: Grammarly has definitely made me a better writer. It helps me with my work reports and makes them look professional. It polishes my emails, so they are clear and well-written for both my work and personal life.

Pros: The best part is its ease of use and the fact that it works with almost everything. We particularly use it to check our emails. We had this problem earlier wherein emails were poorly drafted because of improper grammar but now after using Grammarly the quality of emails have improved a lot.

Cons: Although there are a very few cons about this tool, I am not sure if they have this feature wherein we can integrate it with Microsoft tools like Outlook and Word. We were unable to use it there. If it can be integrated with Microsoft tools then it will be extremely beneficial.

Overall: There are many benefits we get from using Grammarly. The most important one is the improved mail quality not only in terms of spellings which we could do very well with SpellCheck but the grammar of the emails have been improved manifold. The small intricacies have been taken care. This has resulted in improvement of our communication and the client relations. One of the intangible benefits of using Grammarly is that it has boosted the team confidence and many of them have learned a lot.

Pros: I intend to utilize the best grammar I can, and this sweet little app does exactly that. In Chrome it has an add-on that makes it work seamlessly in all fields, and I can tell you it saves me all the time. Of course people don't seem to care about grammar much on the socials. I catch all kinds of errors for those intricate rules of so-called 'standard' English. I think even though I rely on it, over time it helps me improve on my own also.

Cons: I still can't get it working correctly in firefox. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to login, it just won't come one. I ended up using their web-based version and copy pasting my articles there, but that seemed cumbersome, so then I just switched back to Chrome, when I need it. This obviously less than satisfactory IMO. Perhaps, I should test out their customer service.

Overall: Perfect grammar, for the masses!

Pros: What I like most about this product is how corrections can be made simply by hovering the mouse over the indicated issue. Immediately a suggestion for correction pops up and allows the user to quickly and efficiently accept the suggested change or otherwise. Other spell check software I have used in the past requires a right click to activate the alternate suggestions for correction or other such further steps. The quick hover and click allow me to work a lot faster as I can make corrections very quickly and easily with this feature.

Cons: There is not much to dislike about Grammarly, but one thing that can be pesky is the corrections to grammar sometimes suggested by the program. Oftentimes the program is very accurate when it comes to correction related to spelling. However, grammar is something that is a bit more subjective compared to spelling. At times, corrections to grammar are flagged where I feel they are not warranted and this does not assist with efficiency.

Grammarly helped me identify preposition errors, spell check, redundant and misplaced words.

Pros: The app helped me identify my common grammar errors and learn from it. It can be used not only on MS documents but also when I am writing emails and letters. It has a dashboard that shows analytics on a weekly basis how much unique words you've written in a week. How many errors/checked recorded and to what percentile one is in compared to all the Grammarly users.

Cons: There are times that it overlooked several errors in my sentences, human proof-reader is still better in a higher sense but an overall this tool has helped me a lot. It might be pricey of a tool for some writers. Some aggressive advertising to upgrade is not a positive one for me as well.

Overall: It's an easy to use software/extension that helps a lot in checking the grammar of the sentences you're writing. Compared to the other tool, it's not lagging or slow and catches more errors and better suggestions for fixing identified errors. A free version is already a useful tool, all the more with the paid version as it gives analytics which one can use to identify common errors and helps one improve consistently.

Pros: Grammarly provides my team and me crucial tools for tackling the nuances of intention in our writing. Whether it be creative sales copy or making a convincing argument about why you should watch the newest Marvel film, this program helps us bring the best out of our writing and ideas. Not to mention the powerful proofreading system that makes sure I avoid common mistakes that every writer has fell victim to. I'm actually using it right now to write this review!

Cons: This program isn't exactly "missing" anything, but I can see the potential to provide their customers with innovative and exciting ways to make our writing stand out above the rest. Can't wait to see how this program evolves!

Overall: Through Grammarly Business, my team and I have been able to increase productivity by making the proofreading and editing process more streamlined. We have the peace of mind knowing that Grammarly will help us fix even the smallest mistakes that we might miss. Overall, it allows us to focus on the actual content of our writing, rather than the form and function.

Pros: Let's be honest, I'm not always the best speller and I'm certainly not a grammar expert. However, I do like to write well. So how do I fix this problem? Grammarly! It's simple, always working in the background and gently pointing out errors in my writing. It also allows for some customization features - so I can add things to a personal dictionary. I wish this would've been available when I was in college!

Cons: I can't figure out the trend/pattern, but I have noticed that some websites don't play well with Grammarly. I'm not sure why. There are just some occasions where I simply have to turn it off because the website platform cannot seem to handle it. I don't know if that's a Grammarly issue or the actual website; although, I blame it on those websites. :)

Overall: I think highly of it, and appreciate the product they offer!

I couldn't live without it, but I wish it were better.

Pros: Grammarly makes me look like I know all the right grammar, spelling and language usages. Grammarly works well whenever I work online, including this review. When I type, Grammarly checks my spelling, grammar and usage then underlines any error with a red line. It works great. If I want a more in-depth review, I can press a button and edit the text on Grammarly.

Cons: It doesn't work well with Word. You would think this the most important thing but the SW has bugs. You are supposed to add a Grammarly plugin to MS Word. The plugin caused too many issues on my computer, so I removed it. When I want to edit using Grammarly, I open the Grammarly and import the Word Document, and Grammarly checks it. I make the modifications then export it. Not the best approach because you cannot see any formattings from Word. I still love it. I hope they get their plugin fixed.

Overall: It's like having an English major looking over your shoulder checking your spelling, grammar, and usage whenever you write.

Pros: What I like most is the immediate notification of misused or incorrect spelling and construction as you write your composition. Another what I like most is the suggestions and explanation when you installed it in MS Applications such as MSWord. Even in browsers and emails, it is very useful. The simplicity of the application and yet very helful is what I like most to Grammarly.

Cons: I do not have any dislikes for this software. Maybe a suggestion of incorporating synonyms as a suggestion in certain words that we use in the composition to make the pieces we write more creative.

Overall: Grammarly helps us in correcting phrases and spelling in our compositions. It is also a learning tool for its explanation of the underlined words that need to be corrected. This is a great tool for business, educational and personal use in writing compositions.

I've used Grammarly Business since it was offered by my company for free.

Pros: What I like most about Grammarly Business is it offers a much more elaborate and thoughtful user experience than standard spell check tools featured within programs like Microsoft Word and Apple Pages. Not only does the software identify spelling and grammar errors but it *explains* why there are errors so users can actually learn and improve. Not only that, but you can actually have more faith in making adjustments because you understand where the perspective is coming from. Other tools will make a suggestion without explanation or extremely minimal explanation so you're not confident about making the grammar adjustment if you don't comprehend why. The software is also great because it can easily plug into other programs and even Google Docs, which makes it easier to use because you can integrate it into nearly every program you'd need.

Cons: While the aspect I like best about Grammarly Business is its explanations, I do thing the explanations could be briefer. Sometimes I feel like the explanations are too long / thorough, which may be good for people who are terrible at grammar or who don't speak English as a first language. I don't have the patience to read every single blurb I'm given so this feature can get lost on me sometimes.

Pros: I find the best way to use this product is in Word. I have used the online version as well as the Grammarly plug in for Wordpress. Once you create your article in Word, you can quickly check your document within Word in a matter of minutes (for an average article of 600 words). The software company sends you a progress report on a regular basis letting you know how you are doing and your top "mistakes." This allows you to see how you are doing and work on those "trouble" areas you are consistently having.

Cons: I find the Wordpress plug in does not provide all the benefits as well as using the program in Word and copy/paste into Wordpress. The Wordpress plug in is nice, but I gain more benefits starting in Word and using the features.

Overall: Quick review of articles I create for professional as well as personal use. Also, the ability to check to ensure my content is not flagged as "plaigerism" although I create all my content in my own words.

Pros: I use Grammarly constantly...it's actually hard to imagine life without it! My favorite feature is how it integrates with Gmail and Chrome, so it's always running in the background, making sure my spelling and grammar are on point. I also appreciate how it considers the context of the writing - it's definitely superior to other spellchecking tools out there.

Cons: From my perspective, I don't see many disadvantages with Grammarly Business. The free version limits certain functionality, but that makes sense. The only feature I wish was different is its ability to integrate with Microsoft Word (on Mac). I copy from my browser back into the Word document, but then tracked changes show up as the entire document being edited, rather than the revisions.

Pros: I use the Grammarly Chrome add-on obsessively. It helps me catch far more errors than my native spell checker, and I love that it'll pop up as I'm writing anything from emails to a blog post in Wordpress. As a content marketer, writer, and editor, Grammarly is an essential tool for me and I don't know how I ever worked without it.

The premium features are even more helpful for writing great content -- particularly for websites, where it's important to avoid overly complex writing. Grammarly helps me identify passive voice, run on sentences, and more -- so it's flagging not just my typos but also areas where I can improve my writing in general.

Cons: It can be glitchy sometimes and doesn't work with every web app.

Grammarly is a fantastic add-on software that ensures you will never make a typing mistake again.

Pros: It can be used on virtually any website and email client that is available. It provides very accurate and efficient spell correct notification whenever a text field is typed in. As you use Grammarly it has adaptive learning to better suit your personal style of typing and allows for efficiency to increase with use, which is fantastic. The ability to add words to the Grammarly dictionary is very helpful as well, allowing for even more customized use.

Cons: Currently, I have used Grammarly for over 2 years and have found little to no cons of the software. My only complaint would be that at times it can be intrusive when I am trying to type without using corrections. However, briefly turning the software off fixes this issue.

Pros: I write all the time. It's my job. Social media, blog posts, movie scripts, product descriptions, if it's to be written, I write it. I like to think of myself as a talented writer, knowing the ins and outs of grammar, but I get things wrong all the time. Even with a heavy background in writing, Grammarly points out mistakes more often than not. Sometimes they're little things, sometimes they're big, but it's an excellent proofreader. Grammarly also provides an incredible learning system to keep you up to date on trending grammar and other writing rules. I learned how to write in the 90s. Things have clearly changed. Grammarly helps you stay up on that. I love it!

Cons: Other than maybe cost or certain issues with cross-platform (Windows/Apple) performance, I can't think of a single con.

Overall: No matter how skilled you may be or think you may be at writing, there's always room to grow and improve. Grammarly takes full advantage of that and provides you with an excellent proofreading and learning tool.

Pros: It helps me a lot in my writing especially when I am sending reports and emails. I like the feature that it automatically detects grammar and spelling errors and suggests the correct format of words, spelling and punctuation marks in every sentence. It is a great addition to everyday use software in the office or at home. It is very user-friendly and with a simple click and voila! You have everything sorted out and corrected for a perfect correspondence! I love this software and all its functionalities!

Cons: It requires an internet connection to use it! If you are working offline, then you cannot use Grammarly. So far, I like most of its features and functionalities. It helps me a lot in my writings and everyday work! I like its accuracy and effectiveness and what is more is that it offers a free version to use. It is a must-have software!

Overall: Since it corrects grammar and spelling errors, it helps me with the final touches in my correspondence before sending it out!

Pros: Grammarly integrates seamlessly with almost every online software and interface that I use (on Google Chrome). I've been so grateful for basic spelling and grammar corrections, and the premium version even gets into more complicated sentence structures and phrasing.

Cons: There have been a couple times (on Facebook and other platforms) that using Grammarly caused the platform I was using to erase my work. It was minimal but repetitive and this was very frustrating. I haven't recently experienced this and when I did it was very isolated.

Overall: This software is like having an editor looking over my shoulder, correcting my every word (without the annoying interruptions or bad breath). Working in an organization where much of what I create is seen by thousands, it's very important to write well (or at least spell correctly), and for that Grammarly is invaluable.

Pros: While it's not perfect, Grammarly Business is a solid alternative to a "human" proofreader. This tool has become a MUST for our team, and since it can be used across practically all platforms that we write on, it is constantly pushing us to improve our writing skills. The tool works better than any other automated grammar checking tool I have tried in the past. I find the reports very useful, as they give me insight into my most common mistakes. Every week, I spend a couple of hours reviewing grammar rules based on those insights in an effort to finetune my writing skills.

Cons: The only drawback so far has involved certain compatibility issues with the Chrome add-on, as Grammarly's seems to sometimes interfere with other tools and can't be used in some cases where we need to access internal client portals that must be outdated and outright reject the app. In addition, this tool is designed for those who wish to communicate in American English, and some uses that are particular to British English are flagged as errors because of this. If there was a way to select a style, that would be helpful for our particular needs.

Overall: I've found it very helpful for my team and myself, and I have benefited from using it on a daily basis to improve my grammar skills and asses my current frequent errors.

Pros: I like that the errors that they find can be easily corrected by mousing over and it tells you exactly what's wrong and how they would fix it, but also allows you to ignore it because sometimes Grammarly is wrong too. However, sometimes when you ignore an error, it just comes back and it's not helpful because the software has forgotten that you already said that you wanted to ignore it.

Cons: Can't be integrated with most software that's it's useful for such as Google Docs. Many extra steps need to be taken to open the Grammarly Editor, copying and pasting, etc. Constantly getting ads for Grammarly Premium even though I've repeatedly said I don't want it, and also constantly getting ads for Grammarly in things like YouTube even though I have it installed.

Pros: The best thing about Grammarly is that it improves everything in my English writing. Not only does it correct spelling and grammar but it also provides great feedback. It is available in chrome, standalone windows and office add-in. Also as an android keyboard

Cons: It is not available as a g-suite add-in so I can check these documents easily (i work a lot with them and copy paste is simply a hassle)

The standalone option and add-in for the office suite need an internet connection to work (I often work offline when travelling)

For Android, it would be great if there would be a separate app that can check text but does not rely on a specific keyboard. I like swiftkey a lot and switching keyboard is also a hassle.

Overall: Better spelling and grammar in the English language

Pros: I like how Grammarly integrates seamlessly into your web browser and your mobile device. I was a bit of a skeptic at first when I started using it, but having Grammarly really proved how much work my writing requires (ironically, I'm writing reviews!). It's very responsive, especially on web, and you present yourself as more of a professional with every message that goes out.

Cons: I'm a bit of a lazy texter, and on mobile devices, using the Grammarly keyboard makes you lose the intuitiveness of Apple's keyboard. The Grammarly keyboard doesn't compensate as well for missed errors as the native keyboard in my experience. I think that this will come over time, but it's a bit of a hindrance on mobile right now.

Overall: The software has allowed me to become a more professional communicator which allows me to create better relationships. A lot of my work is done on a computer or on a phone, and with proper communication tools, these relationships flourish.

Pros: It comes with all the basic features of grammar correction software: it fixes your typos, deletes an extra space between words and other common tasks. However, having a business or a Pro plan allows you to get pasive voice misuse, redaction mistakes and a lot of syntactic corrections that you may or may not be aware that you are doing. It does wonders for your writing.

Cons: The Chrome and Firefox plug-in slows down your typing on a website. That's a fact. It may crash your Chrome or your Firefox from time to time.

Overall: Writing like a professional, without having to go to the Coursera course for it.

Pros: Think spell and grammar check for any place that you can possibly type (not just MS Word)!

I didn't think I would need this, but apparently, I do - whoops. Spelling things correctly isn't a challenge, but I've found that I insert commas a little too frequently and also do a few other grammatically incorrect things from time to time. Grammarly has helped fix these things and then teach me about my bad habits in the process - win, win!

Cons: Ignoring words that are spelled correctly is annoying sometimes, but I get it. I really love using this, every single day.

Pros: After having Grammarly installed on your devices, you will see how many mistakes you introduce when writing (from trivial issues or misspelled words to great catches in complex sentences).

There is an extension for the most popular browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer...), but also for apps like Microsoft Office.

Also, there are apps for Android and iOS which install a new keyboard with Grammarly integrated.

Cons: You need to install the product in several places (different browsers, different apps) in order to check your grammar everywhere.

Pros: With Grammarly, I am confident that my writing is polished. After I complete my first draft and run through my edit, it catches all the little grammatical errors that I may overlook while cleaning up the bigger picture.

Sometimes when writing, the right word escapes me, so I'll use a weaker word instead. I love that Grammarly gives me the option to update specific words to make my writing stronger.

I also love how Grammarly catches all my passive writing phrases, as no matter how hard I try, one or two always slides through.

Cons: The only problem I have with Grammarly is how it sometimes flags errors when writing creative pieces that shouldn't necessarily be flagged. It does have an option for creative writing, like novels and short stories, but there is currently no way to customize rules for a specific user's writing style.

Overall: Cleans up my writing

Pros: Very easy to use, I use the google chrome plugin which always helps you check for grammar, spelling and punctuation mistakes.

The basic tool is free and works perfectly for daily usage.

It works anywhere and everywhere, from your social media, word, to writing blog posts. It is always on .

Cons: Only available in American English, British English, Australian English and Canadian English.

Sometimes the tool suggests incorrect errors

Overall: I would recommend Grammarly to anyone. It simply helps you save time and money by highlighting all your grammar errors in English anytime.

Pros: Without fail, Grammarly, when integrated with the tools we use every day (web browser, the Microsoft Office Suite, etc.), catches spelling issues and grammar issues. I don't know that I could go back to not using Grammarly because it's become such a huge part of my everyday life. In this review alone, Grammarly corrected one type and also suggested that I was using too many commas!

Cons: This is probably nitpicky (because Grammarly is such a "quiet" tool and is so unintrusive, it's very hard to find anything to dislike about it), but every now and then Grammarly will come up with what I believe to be an incorrect suggestion. These are almost never spelling errors, but instead, grammar errors.

Pros: I like the ability to add this to multiple browsers as a plugin. The little green G in the text boxes where I am writing lets me know that Grammarly is working there. It is easy to change a word or punctuation when the software determines it is incorrect. Ability to add jargon and other nonstandard words to your personal dictionary is very helpful. Grammarly literally corrected my spelling while I was doing this review.

Cons: When correcting a mistake the software points out, I always want to just click the word to get the options to change it. Instead, you need to hover over the word for the options to appear. It also does not always detect subtle cases of incorrect grammar.

Pros: I love how easy is to correct your texts or documents. It not only corrects your grammar but also your style according to the type of document your are writing, your intention and the target. It's suggestions are very well explained so it helps you understand why you need to change things. I absolutely love this app.

Cons: Sometimes it isn't 100% accurate with the suggestions it makes and sort of makes you believe that using the passive voice is always wrong when it isn't.

Overall: You get to write better texts and make a easier and perfect proofread.

Pros: I like that it is always there when I am on the internet. Even as I write this review it is working to make sure my grammar and spelling are accurate. Also, if I want to write a letter or am polishing up my boss' blog article, I just go to the Grammarly website and type it up there, that way it will proofread my work and when I am complete I can cut and paste it into a Word document, Google doc, or my boss' blog.

Cons: Sometimes it gives me "bad" Grammar advise or thinks I might mean something I don't. Also, it is "there" when I am typing up my AR Follow Up notes and I use "shorthand" and it constantly wants to change that. It is, however, simple enough to tell it to ignore something it wants to fix. But I would like to have an "always ignore" option so I don't have to keep telling it to ignore the shorthand I typically use.

Pros: I like the fact that I literally have not grammatical errors when sending emails, texts or any correspondence with my customers. I send out mass email campaigns to my customers on a regular basis and cannot afford grammatical errors.

Cons: At times the application can slow down the performance of my phone when it switches the keyboard to the Grammarly Keyboard. I can get ahead of myself and when the keyboard loads, I notice that I have missed half of the message that I wanted to send.

Overall: Accurate verbiage every time I send correspondence with customers, emails, and texts. The recipient of the correspondence has a sense of confidence that I have good grammar which gives them a sense of security that I know what I am talking about.

Pros: I love that you can paste content (such as an essay or presentation) in the software and have it give you suggestions, corrections and word substitution. It has also caught quite a bit of typos and grammatical errors that has improved the quality of my email correspondence.

Cons: It doesn't integrate with all programs perfectly. I used a cloud-based mind mapping software and grammerly would pop up with the line indicators under typos; however, when I clicked on the typos, it did not give me the suggestions to fix the mistakes that it does over email. It also doesn't recognize some context specific words and phrases (for example, I am studying global development in grad school and Grammerly didn't recognize the way certain terms were used and flagged them as errors).

Overall: - Higher quality email correspondence

- Second set of eyes before proof-reading

Pros: I am very terrible with writing. Ever since I got this program integrated with my browser and Microsoft suite, it came to my realization the unbelievable errors I used to make in quotes and email. Grammarly easily catches and suggest corrections for errors that could easily escape you, which make you very unprofessional. Now I confidently send quotes and emails to my clients in a professional manner. To me, Grammarly is the best assistant I ever hired to take care of my grammatical needs. It would even correct grammatical errors even if you accidentally got signed out.

Cons: I would love it if Grammarly would integrate with Mac programs. I am a big fan of using mac programs due to the ease of use, however, I was forced to switch to the Microsoft suite due to compatibility issues.

Pros: Grammarly suggests me right words to make proper sentences, that can be easier to read. I used Grammarly not just for grammar corrections, but also to find words and sentences that totally suits my ad copies.

Cons: App sometimes is in conflict with other apps that I use for the everyday activity. For example, sometimes tagging in comments in project management tools cannot work because of conflict between two apps. I noticed when turning off Grammarly extension, mentioning in comments works without any problem.

Pros: If you regularly needed to proofread large Word docs and cringe at having to correct punctuation and missing spaces for the thousandth time, this is the software for you. Conceived as an automated way to correct spelling and grammatical errors, predominantly using American English as a template, it works as a first pass in churning through large documents. It is also a boon for typo-prone writers:)

Cons: Unfortunately, it makes mistakes in handling grammatical and stylistic errors in highly technical documents or in documents written by authors for whom English is a second language. That is because the software needs to be "trained" to recognize jargon or casual words like "don't" that are usually not permitted in academic journals. It then becomes easier to just manually edit the document.

Overall: I actually incorporate it as part of a two-step editing process. A thorough manual editing procedure could be augmented with a Grammarly-step that would pick up typos and other errors that tired eyes could miss, especially if one has to edit large numbers of papers.

Pros: I use the free version currently and I am obsessed. Grammarly has time and time again saved me from sending embarrassing emails to clients or uploading content that is subpar due to grammatical or spelling errors. Grammarly is easy to install, use, and love.

Cons: It gets kind of annoying saying you have made an error when you know you haven't because it psychs you out. Grammarly does not always understand the sentence structure you are going for, or if you are using niched lingo it will not catch it.

Overall: You basically get a free grammar assistant that saves you from making boneheaded mistakes. I love knowing that I have software working for me and keeping me from looking bad in front of clients.

Pros: Grammerly is incredibly easy to use and has become a must-have in my toolbox. Not only catching and allowing spelling mistakes to be corrected on the fly, this tool takes it a step further and helps to improve the overall quality of your grammar skills. It integrates and works with just about every cloud-based application too!

Cons: I have very few complaints about the tool. There are some applications and forms that the tool doesn't work well with and has a tendency to kick you out of the form if you try to select the suggested changes. Other than that I have been very happy with it.

Pros: This editing tool has helped me catch so many grammar errors. I use the Firefox and Chrome app and aids in grammar checking in all websites typing functions including my web email like Gmail. It is so easy to use and incredibly impactful. Can't say enough about it.

Cons: Sometimes it is slow to respond and impacts my ability to type. It is not a tool that facilitates open writing. Thesaurus could be more robust. Sometimes the fonts get changed when copying text in and out of the Grammarly website. The software also does not handle indentations. Sometimes the messages are too cryptic and don't provide good examples.

Overall: All forms of writing.

Pros: Very impressed with this software that is recommended even for trained English language experts. It changes our final copy once we run the software over the whole content with not only accuracy in grammar and composition but also sentence structure. It enhances the final copy. One trick for those short in budget could be to buy this software for periodically for one month and then run this paid version. In free version (not to speak about it paid version), I like the way it pinpoints about the use of articles (a, an, the) that has a significant impact on the final copy.

Cons: For a startup, pricing per member may not be that cheap.

Overall: One still needs to apply one's judgment and so this software, in fact, any language software to my belief, is not a substitute of not knowing the rules of grammar.

Pros: I love that it catches typos when typing emails, messages, etc., as well as catching errors in copied and pasted blocks of text.

Cons: For some reason, whenever Grammarly underlines something with a suggestion, whatever is underlined goes kind of wonky and won't apply changes if I try to bold, italicize, change font size, etc. That gets kind of annoying sometimes.

Overall: I really like Grammarly, and it has saved me many times from sending messages or submitting writing with mistakes. Pros: This software is an absolute must for everyone that is not so confident about their writing or for someone who just wants to make sure everything is written perfectly. Cons: There should be a function to install words so they don't show up regularly that may be in my vocabularly or terms that aren't in the Dictionary but are common words like 'gmail'. Additionally, sometimes it tends to change the font color of a word and i have to go back and make it back to black font.

Pros: The tool really sharpens your writing skills both preemptively and long term. By adding on the fly corrections to your writing it ensures you create clear text and helps you to understand your own personal areas of weakness.

Cons: Grammar isn't always what is needed in all forms of writing and it can be a pain to have something that shouldn't apply for the type of document you are creating over and over again. Cons: The newest update does not show essential information like word count right on the main screen like the previous version did. Additionally, there does not seem to be as many options for word and sentence replacements as there was previously.

Pros: I have really good diction, but my grammar is atrocious. I can proof something over and over, think it's good to go, then send it and either I find an error or someone points it out...which drives me crazy. I downloaded Grammarly and it was simply to load, then gets to work. It catches errors that I would have NEVER found, plus I like the weekly update with how my grammar is progressing. I have found that there are somedays I focus on not getting any errors and trying to learn from the program opposed to just getting worse by reliance on it.

Cons: I would say I love the program, but I do think it's sad that I need it personally - I wish it wasn't a weak point for me, but there is an app for that! Grammarly.

Pros: Grammarly is much better than just regular spell check and it does have some real grammar logic in it. The app never seems to get in the way and generally works very similarly to any other text editor. It's easy to install and easy to use.

Cons: Grammarly doesn't do as much of the "word optimization" as it claims to do in the promotional software - I've never gotten a suggestion for a better word as an example. Also, there are certain websites and places where Grammarly doesn't seem to work or pick up that there is text being entered which can be frustrating.

Pros: It works in the background most of the time, or I can open the software and paste/import what I am working on, fix my mistakes, and continue writing in Grammarly if I choose. I like the fact that I can get good grammar feedback no matter if I'm typing an email or filling out this review! Grammarly has cleaned up my act, for sure!

Cons: While it works in Microsoft Word, it doesn't work in MS Word for Mac, which I use. That being said, it does work as an application on my Macbook so I can always import my document into Grammarly for a final check.

Overall: I recommend this software to a lot of people, including my Bible College students because it keeps you from embarrassing yourself with obvious spelling and grammar errors. And, it teaches you at the same time.

Pros: Easy to use, and they have plugins for everything. Great to use in text boxes (like these) and on 3rd party sites without a built-in spell check which I have come to so heavily rely on.

Cons: It doesn't always work right in Gmail for some reason, but for the price, the value is hard to beat.

Overall: Couldn't spell without this! If you send a lot of emails or do a lot of reviews or engage with lots of content online, this is the tool for you!

Pros: I thought that free Grammarly addon is enough because it's awesome. But when I first tried Grammarly for Business with its advanced issues detection I don't feel like ever going back. For someone who isn't a native speaker, it's a must, it does more than just tracks errors in your texts, it also helps you improve writing in general.

Cons: No google docs integration, which is probably the most requested feature and should be in the works already.

Overall: Better writing, less errors and you can see what texts your team is working on and how their grammar is improving.

Pros: If you write copy, -- I mean web content, reports, professional emails, ad copy, landing pages, you name it -- you NEED grammarly. This tool picks up grammatical errors in seconds. SECONDS! Don't let hours of work be ruined by a missing letter or repeated word. You need this tool.

Cons: I use the Chrome extension for Grammarly also, but every once in a while it glitches and won't let me click on the correction for my error. That's my only complaint.

Overall: Finding spelling and grammatical errors in deliverable client work. It's a must-have in my content review process.

Pros: It is always good to have another set of eyes on your written work, and that is what Grammarly provides. It may not always be correct, as with foreign words, expressions, comma usage and so forth, but it allows you to see where things might be going amiss and catches common errors.

Cons: You can program it, but it's a hassle, and it isn't always accurate. Complex grammar rules, like the appropriate use of semicolons, Oxford commas or parenthesis, can be beyond the scope of this tool, but for general writing, it catches common errors.

Cons: 1. Doesn't provide widget that works in Google Suite

Overall: I've been using Grammarly ever since I formally started writing, and it has corrected errors in a fashion that educates and makes you aware of what you don't know. I especially like the emailers since it pits you to do better!

Pros: we are humans and are prone to error, I like the fact that it just doesn't correct spelling errors, it corrects punctuation, English structure, it also provides suggestions.

Grammarly also keeps track of mistakes you make and gives insight on how I have improved overtime, i love that feature.

Cons: I really like everything about it but I feel it is a little bit expensive to pay dollars monthly for the premium version. I actually don't think it is 100% perfect.

Pros: It's just so easy. You install, and then immediately begin using it without any time spent needing to learn how it works. Even right now as I type it is catching all my errors. I do understand that it has more functions, but even if I don't learn them, I will already be happy with the product. The YouTube ads were driving me nuts do I finally downloaded it. Now I just wish I could stop seeing the ads :-)

Cons: Most of the time the "suggestions" are accurate, but occasionally I'll type something correctly and it'll flag it as wrong even though it's right. I know that that'll just get better with time though so it's not a huge deal. It still catches tons of mistakes for me.

Cons: There is nothing I can complain about with this product. I think the only con is that upgrading can be a bit pricey. I'd love to use Grammarly for all of its benefits, but stick to the basic plan (which is still incredibly helpful.)

Pros: Grammarly is incredibly easy to install and implement across various applications.

Given the nature of our business, we do use a lot of web-based platforms to communicate with clients and these do not always have a built-in spell checker functionality and this is where Grammarly truly shines, it gives Microsoft Word like spell check wherever you need it.

A few corrections in this Review were done with the help of Grammarly.

Another great function of Grammarly is also the namesake, the assistance with grammar correction, it is very easy to miss a comma or a letter every now and again without noticing but Grammarly can help correct it in a flash, simply hover over the error and Grammarly will give a popup list of corrections.

Cons: The only issue that I have picked up is language/spelling based, I am based in South Africa where we would spell Finalise with an S, however, Grammarly often suggests a correction to the Americanised spelling being Finalize with a Z.

Pros: I have a tendency to type too quickly and brain dump onto a keyboard. Using Grammarly takes what can be disjointed and puts provides a suggestion on changing words, phrases and spellings.

I especially like the email I get weekly to tell me how I'm benchmarking against other users, in terms of words used and spelling corrections.

Cons: I've only used the free version, which does not allow you to create your own custom words.

Pros: When I was writing content for the company I work for, Grammarly came in handy quite often! It was great to have a system that would quickly correct potential mistakes in my writing

Cons: There were a lot of times when Grammarly would suggest changes be made to content that wasn't actually grammatically correct. Another issue I found was that it constantly wanted me to change words to the British spelling...and I'm in America. I think if the developers could figure out a way to allow users to switch between British and American English, that would be great.

Overall: I didn't have to wait for someone on my team to review my content. Grammarly gave me the ability to fix/correct/change content with ease. Efficiency is key in my world and Grammarly fit like a glove.

Pros: Automatically catches errors

Better suggestions

Point out technical errors

Can use in browser as extension

Can use as desktop application for writing long paragraphs

Useful in Email writing as it supports Gmail

For errors it shows a red underline for the word and we can hover over the word for more suggestion

they do have a 24-hour support option which is hardly used

Cons: If you copy paste a whole sentence, sometimes it wont find any errors.

Sometimes the proper nouns are also not capitalized

Has annoying emails if you are not a premium member, they will send emails regarding joining premium account.

Overall: I have been using Grammarly more than over a month and most of the time i use it to send email to project managers related to work. I have also used it for my transcription job as it contains a lot of struggle in finding mistakes while typing so fast. Pros: I absolutely love this software. Even as someone who has pretty good grammar, I love being able to rely on Grammarly to make my emails sound professional and correct. It's SO easy to use.

Cons: I wish it could just automatically be used on all programs. Right now if you have a Word document you want to review you'd actually have to load it into Grammarly for any suggestions to be made instead of being in Word already. I'm glad it works so smoothly as a plugin for Gmail though. Very convenient.

Overall: I use Grammarly every single day while writing emails for work. Emails are probably 99% of what I do and having this extra tools makes life so much easier.

This is my main tool in checking proper grammar for my many editing and writing projects.

Pros: Grammarly is an essential tool for the modern-day workplace. This feature detects typing and grammar mistakes that may be overlooked otherwise. Everyone in our office uses it and we have some employees whose native language is not English so this is a great tool for them as well.

Cons: It is possible that I have missed something but it seems that this program is only available for English

Overall: Our company has had a very positive experience with Grammarly Business.

Pros: I love how Grammarly is integrated with most of my applications. It's also super easy to click on a misspelled word and correct it right then-and-there.

Cons: I so wish Grammarly was integrated with Google docs! Also, I think Grammarly's understanding of subject-verb tenses can be improved in trickier sentences where there are clauses inserted between the subject and verb.

Overall: Crazy helpful grammar tool that serves as a great double-check when sending emails and writing documents.

Pros: - Very good at recognizing even the most "hidden" mistakes

- Suggestions for better writing

- Doesn't seem to slow down the browser

- Super easy to use

- Cutom dictionaries

Cons: - The difference between the free and premium version is not big enough to pay that much

Overall: Sometimes you don't even know that you're making mistakes, which are obvious to you, but somehow they just slip into your text when in hurry. Grammarly allowed me to be more confident with that kind of embarrassing stuff doesn't happen :)

Pros: The function is why this tool is great. It spell checks where traditional spell check doesn't apply. For us it's within SalesLoft and other tools, so Grammarly proves crucial.

Cons: Sometimes a click (to implement a suggested change) submit's whatever you are working on. For example, in SalesForce if you are adding notes to something, clicking on a grammarly change will take you out of the field you are editing.

Overall: Spell checking where traditional spell check can't.
