Pros: I thought that free Grammarly addon is enough because it's awesome. But when I first tried Grammarly for Business with its advanced issues detection I don't feel like ever going back. For someone who isn't a native speaker, it's a must, it does more than just tracks errors in your texts, it also helps you improve writing in general.

Cons: No google docs integration, which is probably the most requested feature and should be in the works already.

Overall: Better writing, less errors and you can see what texts your team is working on and how their grammar is improving.

Pros: I really like their google chrome extension. I don't have to worry about my grammar when writing emails and articles. There is always a red underline for words that are misspelled and I can just click that underlined word to correct.

Cons: I also downloaded their Grammarly for MAC but the app is not responsive and laggy. It takes a couple of minutes before it can be used.

Overall: I believe that there is still room for improvements and it can't be easily perfected but Grammarly is really great! It helps me a lot to chat with my clients and sending emails.

Pros: Whether you are writing an email or a big business document, then Grammarly will give you a big helping hand not only in your spelling but sentence construction.

There are regularly special offers on in order to allow you to save quite alot, so register for the promotional emails in order to get these.

Cons: Initially it can be frustrating as it gets used to how you create sentences but after this learning curve it becomes very handy. The progress reports are also a valuable insight.

Pros: The software has a free tool which is very easy to use. I use it on a daily basis and the free option is great but if you need more features, you can always upgrade.

Cons: Since I use it every day, I noticed that there is a glitch with another tool called Basecamp. But most of the time its not really bothersome.

Pros: I appreciate Grammarly's accuracy above all. Sometimes native proofreading clients in word processing software are flat out wrong. I don't think I've experienced that with Grammarly. It highlights a problem word and offers a suggestion - sometimes multiple suggestions - for correct spelling or better word choice. I also appreciate that it integrates across every application in which you're typing, not just word processing.

Cons: No real cons, except the reminder I need quite a bit of help sometimes in the grammar department! Grammarly is a must-have for writing pros.

Pros: I intend to utilize the best grammar I can, and this sweet little app does exactly that. In Chrome it has an add-on that makes it work seamlessly in all fields, and I can tell you it saves me all the time. Of course people don't seem to care about grammar much on the socials. I catch all kinds of errors for those intricate rules of so-called 'standard' English. I think even though I rely on it, over time it helps me improve on my own also.

Cons: I still can't get it working correctly in firefox. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to login, it just won't come one. I ended up using their web-based version and copy pasting my articles there, but that seemed cumbersome, so then I just switched back to Chrome, when I need it. This obviously less than satisfactory IMO. Perhaps, I should test out their customer service.

Overall: Perfect grammar, for the masses!

This has been a really nice plugin to have running in the background.

Pros: Easy to setup and start using. I like the weekly updates that are emailed to me letting me know how some stats compared to other users. Allows me to be confident about the things that I type. Great free tool.

Cons: Sometimes is glitchy and causes my cursor to jump around. Other than that I really don't have anything else.

Pros: Grammarly suggests me right words to make proper sentences, that can be easier to read. I used Grammarly not just for grammar corrections, but also to find words and sentences that totally suits my ad copies.

Cons: App sometimes is in conflict with other apps that I use for the everyday activity. For example, sometimes tagging in comments in project management tools cannot work because of conflict between two apps. I noticed when turning off Grammarly extension, mentioning in comments works without any problem.

Pros: I can proofread until my eyes bleed. I'll still miss typos and make mistakes that only Grammarly will catch. It's a blanket of protection.

Cons: I have the Chrome extension installed, and sometimes it messes up form fields on certain software applications. For example: the Grammarly extension doesn't integrate with a hiring platform we use, so when I try to correct typos on there, the software will override Grammarly's corrections.

Pros: I love that it allows you to copy and paste or type your work directly into the application. You don't have to go through the trouble of installing all the products if you don't want to. It also has helped me find typos spell check doesn't pick up on and helped with stylizing my writing.

Cons: Because it's a computer, it doesn't always pick up on the way the English language can be used even though it's grammatically correct. It also strongly encourages active voice and that's not always the most appropriate tone in some communication.

Pros: I find, a lot of the time, that spell-check doesn't catch some spelling errors and will even fail to recommend the proper spelling when I do spell something wrong. On top of that, it's awful with catching grammar mistakes. Grammarly changed that and has given me confidence to send emails without worrying I sent an embarrassing mistake

Cons: Sometimes the platform over-corrects my grammar or gets a little pushy with emails that I send that I mean to have more casual tones. Not a real fault of the platform though

Overall: Has given me a ton of confidence for sending emails!

Pros: I like how accurate it is. Of course, it's not 100% perfect but more than enough for work. Languages are way too intrinsic and rich and I don't think there could ever be an app that does it perfectly but this app makes it easy for us non-native speakers.

Cons: Sometimes it shows an error and the suggestion is not correct, especially with colloquial phrases. I'm not complaining! Overall, it's a great tool for work!

Overall: I recommend it to anyone who works with me

Pros: Grammarly fixes almost every possible mistake that me and my team could possible make. The biggest pro is that it connects to everything that we use to write including our browser, documents, and even phone keyboard.

Cons: The biggest con is sometimes it doesn't seem to register some mistakes. It's the worse to have Grammarly check and send a email only to reread your email a notice a typo.

I find grammarly helpful, however the language barrier needs improvement.

Pros: I like that this software is easy, functional and works well in the background without any prompting.

Pros: I wish I had always used Grammarly. Grammarly is installed as a plug-in on my computer and catches my spelling/ grammar errors as I type. It's like being able to constantly run spellcheck. I always have a backup before I send an important client email thanks to this software.

Cons: There is nothing I can complain about with this product. I think the only con is that upgrading can be a bit pricey. I'd love to use Grammarly for all of its benefits, but stick to the basic plan (which is still incredibly helpful.)

Pros: After having Grammarly installed on your devices, you will see how many mistakes you introduce when writing (from trivial issues or misspelled words to great catches in complex sentences).

There is an extension for the most popular browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer...), but also for apps like Microsoft Office.

Also, there are apps for Android and iOS which install a new keyboard with Grammarly integrated.

Cons: You need to install the product in several places (different browsers, different apps) in order to check your grammar everywhere.

Pros: I've been using this tool on a daily basis and it's a real lifesaver.

Cons: I really can't say anything bad about it, perhaps except the fact that there are features you need to pay for, hehe!

Pros: It's just so easy. You install, and then immediately begin using it without any time spent needing to learn how it works. Even right now as I type it is catching all my errors. I do understand that it has more functions, but even if I don't learn them, I will already be happy with the product. The YouTube ads were driving me nuts do I finally downloaded it. Now I just wish I could stop seeing the ads :-)

Cons: Most of the time the "suggestions" are accurate, but occasionally I'll type something correctly and it'll flag it as wrong even though it's right. I know that that'll just get better with time though so it's not a huge deal. It still catches tons of mistakes for me.

Pros: Grammarly integrates seamlessly with almost every online software and interface that I use (on Google Chrome). I've been so grateful for basic spelling and grammar corrections, and the premium version even gets into more complicated sentence structures and phrasing.

Cons: There have been a couple times (on Facebook and other platforms) that using Grammarly caused the platform I was using to erase my work. It was minimal but repetitive and this was very frustrating. I haven't recently experienced this and when I did it was very isolated.

Overall: This software is like having an editor looking over my shoulder, correcting my every word (without the annoying interruptions or bad breath). Working in an organization where much of what I create is seen by thousands, it's very important to write well (or at least spell correctly), and for that Grammarly is invaluable.

Pros: The tool really sharpens your writing skills both preemptively and long term. By adding on the fly corrections to your writing it ensures you create clear text and helps you to understand your own personal areas of weakness.

Cons: Grammar isn't always what is needed in all forms of writing and it can be a pain to have something that shouldn't apply for the type of document you are creating over and over again. Also when you are improving your skills sometimes having a correction pop up while you are in the middle of backspacing to correct it anyway can feel a little like being scolded.

Pros: So in love with this software! I am honestly pretty good at grammar naturally but there are things that I miss. Especially, when I am in a rush. Their program finds it and underlines it for me, includes the suggested replace and just like that, your writing is perfect!

Pros: The app helped me identify my common grammar errors and learn from it. It can be used not only on MS documents but also when I am writing emails and letters. It has a dashboard that shows analytics on a weekly basis how much unique words you've written in a week. How many errors/checked recorded and to what percentile one is in compared to all the Grammarly users.

Cons: There are times that it overlooked several errors in my sentences, human proof-reader is still better in a higher sense but an overall this tool has helped me a lot. It might be pricey of a tool for some writers. Some aggressive advertising to upgrade is not a positive one for me as well.

Overall: It's an easy to use software/extension that helps a lot in checking the grammar of the sentences you're writing. Compared to the other tool, it's not lagging or slow and catches more errors and better suggestions for fixing identified errors. A free version is already a useful tool, all the more with the paid version as it gives analytics which one can use to identify common errors and helps one improve consistently.

Pros: Grammarly makes me look like I know all the right grammar, spelling and language usages. Grammarly works well whenever I work online, including this review. When I type, Grammarly checks my spelling, grammar and usage then underlines any error with a red line. It works great. If I want a more in-depth review, I can press a button and edit the text on Grammarly.

Cons: It doesn't work well with Word. You would think this the most important thing but the SW has bugs. You are supposed to add a Grammarly plugin to MS Word. The plugin caused too many issues on my computer, so I removed it. When I want to edit using Grammarly, I open the Grammarly and import the Word Document, and Grammarly checks it. I make the modifications then export it. Not the best approach because you cannot see any formattings from Word. I still love it. I hope they get their plugin fixed.

Overall: It's like having an English major looking over your shoulder checking your spelling, grammar, and usage whenever you write.

Pros: The thing I like most about it is eventually you start to recognize the mistakes you're making yourself so you can eventually wean off of using it.

Cons: I've been a Grammarly user for about a year now and it seems to have definitely gone downhill a bit. The corrections it offers now aren't always correct or take the entire sentence into consideration when making suggestions.

Pros: It's great that Grammarly can be attached to your web browser allowing you to compose concise grammatically correct emails. It's even correcting this review as I type!

Cons: It's almost too efficient before you're done typing a sentence sometimes it marks it as incorrect but once you're done it realizes it was not incorrect.

Pros: What I like most about Grammarly Business is it offers a much more elaborate and thoughtful user experience than standard spell check tools featured within programs like Microsoft Word and Apple Pages. Not only does the software identify spelling and grammar errors but it *explains* why there are errors so users can actually learn and improve. Not only that, but you can actually have more faith in making adjustments because you understand where the perspective is coming from. Other tools will make a suggestion without explanation or extremely minimal explanation so you're not confident about making the grammar adjustment if you don't comprehend why. The software is also great because it can easily plug into other programs and even Google Docs, which makes it easier to use because you can integrate it into nearly every program you'd need.

Cons: While the aspect I like best about Grammarly Business is its explanations, I do thing the explanations could be briefer. Sometimes I feel like the explanations are too long / thorough, which may be good for people who are terrible at grammar or who don't speak English as a first language. I don't have the patience to read every single blurb I'm given so this feature can get lost on me sometimes.

Pros: This tool is perfect for anyone that does a lot of writing. It's also a complete no-brainer for bloggers and content creators. In short, it makes proofreading and speed writing a breeze!

Cons: Sometimes it's just too much and gets annoying. It's great to have Grammar always checking your text, but sometimes the little green circle and popup window get in when trying to work within WordPress or other applications. This is minimal, but still something we noticed.

Pros: You're able to edit your manuscript using a software. What's not to love? Does it replace an editor? No. But it does weed out some of your garage and help fine your product so that your editor isn't overloaded with corrections, making it likely he/she might miss something.

Cons: Only being able to import a certain volume instead of upload an entire manuscript. Maybe there is a purpose behind it. Maybe their system just can handle it.

Pros: Grammarly couldn't be easier to use, it just seamlessly works in your browser as you type with the Chrome extension. Cons: Grammarly occasionally misses something, and doesn't always work perfectly on mobile. It's also a little pricey.

Pros: I use the free version currently and I am obsessed. Grammarly has time and time again saved me from sending embarrassing emails to clients or uploading content that is subpar due to grammatical or spelling errors. Grammarly is easy to install, use, and love.

Cons: It gets kind of annoying saying you have made an error when you know you haven't because it psychs you out. Grammarly does not always understand the sentence structure you are going for, or if you are using niched lingo it will not catch it.

Overall: You basically get a free grammar assistant that saves you from making boneheaded mistakes. I love knowing that I have software working for me and keeping me from looking bad in front of clients.

Pros: Grammarly has actually made me a better writer. The business plan unlocks a number of features that correct your style, punctuation, tone... the fact that it is an automated tool was kind of a big deal for me, as I know I would be a bit more reluctant to accept "criticism" from an actual person (I'm weird like that, I know!). Plus, I love the chrome extension and being able to get the same follow up from my "proofreader" every time I type.

Cons: Sometimes (as one might think) the corrections can be a bit off-base, so I won't just accept all changes at once and I still do think that my own judgment might not be perfect at times. However, when they are inaccurate, it is quite obvious, which makes me feel better about the rest of the edits proposed by the tool.

Overall: Must have tool for anyone writing anything!

I have tested other apps but they are too complicated or miss things like the Oxford comma that Grammarly does catch.

Pros: I like how Grammarly integrates seamlessly into your web browser and your mobile device. I was a bit of a skeptic at first when I started using it, but having Grammarly really proved how much work my writing requires (ironically, I'm writing reviews!). It's very responsive, especially on web, and you present yourself as more of a professional with every message that goes out.

Cons: I'm a bit of a lazy texter, and on mobile devices, using the Grammarly keyboard makes you lose the intuitiveness of Apple's keyboard. The Grammarly keyboard doesn't compensate as well for missed errors as the native keyboard in my experience. I think that this will come over time, but it's a bit of a hindrance on mobile right now.

Overall: The software has allowed me to become a more professional communicator which allows me to create better relationships. A lot of my work is done on a computer or on a phone, and with proper communication tools, these relationships flourish.

Pros: The best part is its ease of use and the fact that it works with almost everything. We particularly use it to check our emails. We had this problem earlier wherein emails were poorly drafted because of improper grammar but now after using Grammarly the quality of emails have improved a lot.

Cons: Although there are a very few cons about this tool, I am not sure if they have this feature wherein we can integrate it with Microsoft tools like Outlook and Word. We were unable to use it there. If it can be integrated with Microsoft tools then it will be extremely beneficial.

Overall: There are many benefits we get from using Grammarly. The most important one is the improved mail quality not only in terms of spellings which we could do very well with SpellCheck but the grammar of the emails have been improved manifold. The small intricacies have been taken care. This has resulted in improvement of our communication and the client relations. One of the intangible benefits of using Grammarly is that it has boosted the team confidence and many of them have learned a lot.

Pros: It comes with all the basic features of grammar correction software: it fixes your typos, deletes an extra space between words and other common tasks. However, having a business or a Pro plan allows you to get pasive voice misuse, redaction mistakes and a lot of syntactic corrections that you may or may not be aware that you are doing. It does wonders for your writing.

Pros: Grammarly Business provides much better spelling and grammar editing than Microsoft Word or Google Docs, and is really helpful for emails and memos. My favorite feature is the plug-in support for Grammarly in my browser, so wherever I am typing something, Grammarly is there to help.

My other favorite feature is the fun/flashy data analytics page. Being able to see how Grammarly helps my team write (corrections, words checked, etc), is pretty cool. Does it add that much productive value? Not sure, but it's definitely cool to see.

Cons: Grammarly is powerful and helpful, but can be tricky for certain use cases. For example, Grammarly still does not handle academic and technical writing as well as it could. When wording has to be super specific, or when syntax is very formal, Grammarly almost always throws a fit saying things could be simplified.

Also, we've had some compatibility issues with Grammarly Business in the past, but they recently got better. Not sure this is a permanent fix or not, but just be aware that some users might have issues.

Overall: Grammarly helps me write faster and with fewer errors. Being able to use it across applications and contexts is also very helpful.

Pros: Grammarly is an easy-to-use, free way to make sure you're using the proper word choices, spelling and punctuation everywhere (versus just in your word processor/email client). It's been great so far.

Cons: Unfortunately, Grammarly only works with Chrome so far so I haven't been able to use it on Safari, which is a browser I use regularly.

Pros: The best thing about Grammarly is that it improves everything in my English writing. Not only does it correct spelling and grammar but it also provides great feedback. It is available in chrome, standalone windows and office add-in. Also as an android keyboard

Cons: It is not available as a g-suite add-in so I can check these documents easily (i work a lot with them and copy paste is simply a hassle)

The standalone option and add-in for the office suite need an internet connection to work (I often work offline when travelling)

For Android, it would be great if there would be a separate app that can check text but does not rely on a specific keyboard. I like swiftkey a lot and switching keyboard is also a hassle.

Overall: Better spelling and grammar in the English language

Pros: English is not my first language, so this is a really valuable tool. I even have Grammarly for Chrome and Grammarly for Microsoft Office, it feels nice to have a free app that is capable of correcting my spelling mistakes and my grammar mistakes while I'm writing a document or even if I'm just writing an email.

Cons: It would be awesome if it had additional language options and if it were compatible with smartphones.

Overall: Grammarly helps me improve my written English and it prevents me from making mistakes. I seriously can't live without it now.

Pros: Because it's integrated with (almost) everywhere I type, I'm getting constant reminders of grammar rules I may be forgetting so that I'm actually learning more about proper comma placement, etc.

Cons: It doesn't work with Google Docs! I'm so surprised as it works even in Gmail. I have to copy/paste the text into my grammarly app.

Pros: It picks up on lots of different problems and highlights the issues, making it simple to correct them

Cons: The place where you put the content for checking automatically removes all formatting (eg tables, bold/italic text, different font sizes etc) so if I want to check text that has already been formatted I can't make the changes directly in the editor

Pros: These I like:
* Real-time online suggestions.
* The UI does not interfere with the normal work as the suggestions won't come in between the actual work when going on.
* I get a feel-good factor as if somebody is monitoring my English language while composing a mail or writing a doc. I have rectified a couple of mistakes as I am typing now this review!! :)

Cons: These can be improved:
* Just like the online correction feature, this must be made aligned with emails too which are configured to the desktop. Every time I have to copy paste my mail to Grammarly to check the correctness.

Overall: This is one of the best English proofreading software which I have come across.

Easy to use, always running, ease of mind when you are writing out emails or chats. Quick install.

Pros: This tool is great! It is very easy to install and set up. You can utilize it on most platforms. Always running in the background keeping you on track. It lets you know in real time if there are any grammar or spelling errors.

Cons: I haven't had a chance to use this on the phone yet. Sometimes if you misuse a word it won't pick it up for errors. Not free if you want the Premium features.

Overall: Real-time Spell and Grammar check. Saves time and helps you improve writing.

Pros: Think spell and grammar check for any place that you can possibly type (not just MS Word)!

I didn't think I would need this, but apparently, I do - whoops. Spelling things correctly isn't a challenge, but I've found that I insert commas a little too frequently and also do a few other grammatically incorrect things from time to time. Grammarly has helped fix these things and then teach me about my bad habits in the process - win, win!

Cons: Ignoring words that are spelled correctly is annoying sometimes, but I get it. I really love using this, every single day.
