January 21, 2022 5.0 Pros Gone are the days when you had to import text into a word processing program to simply check spelling, with Grammarly I've been able to be more confident in what I type knowing that it is always working in the background checking my spelling and grammar. I absolutely LOVE this program and I recommend it to everyone I work with. Cons From time to time I will get logged out of the chrome extension and it's a tiny bit of a hassle having to log back into Grammarly but other than that I have absolutely zero complaints. Cons I do not like that the software's suggestions with regard to the use of commas (punctuation) can many times be faulty. Grammarly takes full advantage of that and provides you with an excellent proofreading and learning tool. Pros I write all the time. It's my job. Social media, blog posts, movie scripts, product descriptions, if it's to be written, I write it. I like to think of myself as a talented writer, knowing the ins and outs of grammar, but I get things wrong all the time. Even with a heavy background in writing, Grammarly points out mistakes more often than not. Sometimes they're little things, sometimes they're big, but it's an excellent proofreader. Grammarly also provides an incredible learning system to keep you up to date on trending grammar and other writing rules. I learned how to write in the 90s. Things have clearly changed. Grammarly helps you stay up on that. I love it! Cons Other than maybe cost or certain issues with cross-platform (Windows/Apple) performance, I can't think of a single con. It catches all my little mistakes when I'm writing to fast for my own good. And the synonym feature has been extremely helpful for me when it comes on to my creative writing projects. Cons the one thing I would say can be a drawback at times is that the Grammarly icon sometimes can get in the way and sometimes it gets glitchy. It has never failed me. Pros Grammarly allows you to quickly do a Grammarly correcting and also suggests better ideas of syntax when writing in English. This is the perfect tool for non-native English speakers. Their Chrome extension is great, as it corrects directly from productivity tools such as Gmail, Slack, etc. I definitely recommend it! Cons No cons, really. This tool is the best of its kind and provide all the features you need to write grammatically correct texts in English.
