One of the best things is that it's so unobtrusive that I barely notice it's there, yet it's impact is huge! I do a lot of writing for my job, from emails to content creation, and grammarly catches errors that a regular spell/grammar check does not. It's simple, handy, and even a necessity, I'd say. Cons My only issue with grammarly is that the small green/red icon in the bottom corner of a text box can get in the way in certain circumstances, notably when editing landing pages where the text boxes are small. The icon is always welcome elsewhere, as it notifies me if there are any errors in my text! It's only in these less-common circumstances that the plugin gets in my way. I've been so grateful for basic spelling and grammar corrections, and the premium version even gets into more complicated sentence structures and phrasing. Cons There have been a couple times (on Facebook and other platforms) that using Grammarly caused the platform I was using to erase my work. It was minimal but repetitive and this was very frustrating. I haven't recently experienced this and when I did it was very isolated. I am Italian, so writing in English is never simple, but Grammarly really helped me fix a lot of mistakes, typos and other grammar errors. I used it for years and I still use it. I also like a lot the way it integrates with everything you write on any platform (even right now!) Cons It keeps telling me about passive sentences, and I really don't care about them. Literally 70% of "errors" are just "a sentence written in passive form". Who cares? It's totally normal. Also, it is somewhat slow sometimes, especially if your CPU is working already. I typically have just used whatever built in checker was in the program I was using. Grammarly has an extension for Chrome that works well and covers most everything I do online. It gives you a summary of your writing and lets you know the tone/quality of your writing. It's absolutely wonderful for making sure you are writing professional emails. Cons Every once in a while it will recommend things that are not necessarily needed. There are times where it recommends too many commas for example. It also every once in a while has a hiccup with Google. Sometimes it doesn't work but they did say they are updating things to make this more efficient.
