I definitely recommend it for beginners as well as experienced writers. Cons What is not great about Grammarly is that it will always give you the most "Formal" words or phrases, even if in some cases you are writing casually (personal note or memo, for example). It has improved lately by adding synonym suggestions or, even, new ways of phrasing passive sentences, which is great. Pros It is well implemented across all your devices, which makes it very easy to use, always. There is a little logo present whenever you are writing, so you don't have to worry to switch it on or off. Therefore, it helps you while you are replying to an email or writing a small review such as this one. This allows you to be always "en garde" because you are forced to double-check your spelling. Cons The only con I find has to do with the limitations of being a machine, obviously. Grammarly has its limits (and it has improved greatly during the past two years) when dealing with context. In these cases, nuance can get lost and the suggested corrections can be misleading. This is why I believe it is a great tool if you already have good English, but it is not your first language. For instance, even writing this review it corrected me a few times -- I originally had guesswork as two words, and it told me to hyphenate double-check. It is so simple to use! Cons Nothing. Pros There is a free trial available which can be installed and we were able to see the benefits even before paying. Grammarly correct any syntax errors spelling mistakes but also improves the overall word selection and sentence construction. It edits and improves a document on the go so we can just click on the solutions being given and include them in the document. Cons I cannot think of any cons for grammarly acceptor sometimes the suggestions may not be appropriate for the document or text.
