Pros I am a content writer, and I proof-read EVERYTHING with Grammarly. Sometimes they overlook things, but for the most part, they are spot-on with writing rules, clarity, and even word-replacement. I'd definitely refer a colleague​. Cons Grammarly often suggests that the writer replace words, however, the word replacement is not strong. Sometimes, it repeats the previous word suggestion, once it's changed, and is not effective in rating writing styles. Review Source Katherine R. It is well worth the money spent and is a product I would recommend to anyone who writes. Pros Grammarly is an excellent tool because it can be used in almost every situation where you are typing something out. Even now, I am using Grammarly to spot check my written reviews. On top of that, the team I used to work with loved having access to a tool that they could consistently use to proof emails, graphic design, etc. Cons There are still a few applications that I use consistently that Grammarly does not have complete integration with, such as Google Docs. While writing this review itself I have used Grammarly multiple times, so you can gauge my appreciation for this software. Pros I was introduced to Grammarly when I used to work as a copywriter, 5 years ago. Ever since then I have had it installed on my google chrome as an extension. I love how the software has evolved from merely correcting words to now being able to help craft better sentences. The app interface is quick and that's a boon because everyone these days require interfaces which are quick to interact with Cons In some apps like Facebook creator studio, I find that Grammarly doesn't work properly, you have to restart the extension. June 26, 2018 4.0 Accurate verbiage every time I send correspondence with customers, emails, and texts. The recipient of the correspondence has a sense of confidence that I have good grammar which gives them a sense of security that I know what I am talking about. Pros I like the fact that I literally have not grammatical errors when sending emails, texts or any correspondence with my customers. I send out mass email campaigns to my customers on a regular basis and cannot afford grammatical errors. Cons At times the application can slow down the performance of my phone when it switches the keyboard to the Grammarly Keyboard. I can get ahead of myself and when the keyboard loads, I notice that I have missed half of the message that I wanted to send. Pros Grammarly goes a step beyond spellcheck to identify spelling and grammar errors. It also identifies the tone of your writing and offers a feature that identifies which sentences can be improved to change that tone. The feature I use most often is the simple one - when grammarly detects an error, it underlines it in red. You just have to click on the underlined word and see the recommended change. It's quick and easy. Somehow even easier than spellcheck! Cons The grammarly popup can get in the way sometimes. It can block space in a small form, forcing you to turn it off in order to see what you've written. It doesn't always catch some errors or writing mistakes, so while it's a step ahead your typical spellcheck, you still need to comb through your work. Review Source Kh G. Pros Grammarly allows me and my team to write professional emails without wasting time on research to make sure that certain words are spelled correctly, as a non-native English speaker selling services internationally Grammarly is a must-have tool for my business because it saves us from ruining our reputation by sending an email full of typos to one of our clients. Cons even with the chrome extension installed I can’t get Grammarly to work on certain websites because they’re probably not supported yet so I have to write on a supported website and copy-paste the text which is a bit of a hassle.
