Many users have even installed the personal version on home computers and some even on their smart phones. The program is intuitive with simple screens and threat breakdowns. The security is still sufficiently robust as it catches a large number of threats that were undetected by other vendors Cons Popups can be annoying, though they are minimal in the paid versions. Certain notifications are difficult to identify as a legitimate threat or just a point of information Review Source BD Bhawin D. Pros Nothing as such, it as every other anti virus softwares removes threats and viruses but nothing special about it that I can write. Cons I was a bit sceptical while buying this softwares key but my friend recommended it and I bought it. This software makes my system very laggy and I don't know why my computer took quite a lot of time to reboot on installing it. I also removed it from my start up tasks, but that aslo didn't make much effect. Switched from [Norton AntiVirus](https://www.capterra.com/p/648/Norton-Security/) It came pre installed with my system and I was happy about it, but after sometime when my system started freezingI thought I must have got a trojen or something but this anti virus fails to detect any and also takes a lot of space and makes my system less responsive. It blocks all possible things. Also because of some sort of glitch on their site I bought it for 1$ and quess what, they do not want a refund :) Cons Sometimes I have problems when connecting via VPN software or (because I am a Developer) it blocks some temp files that I generate. Cons the disadvantage of avast consumes you many resources of the computer you need more options do not clean the browser or trash files from the computer and if you do not have internet it will not update you Review Source JZ James Z. I use it both at my office and home. It is very light weight, easy to use and setup is simple. You didn't have to be technically know how to understand it's feature. We have just installed it in our office system and the product takes care of everything. Great value for money. Pros Very Light Weight, Great Support Service Cons None Review Source Ruben A. Pros It is the best free antivirus protection available, with anti-spyware, anti-rootkit and a strong self-protection built into itself to prevent any malware from disconnecting it daily updates its database of virus definitions. Cons if you do not have internet it will not be updated, it consumes you many resources of the PC, it does not have firewalls, it does not clean the browser or the junk files of the PC, it does not have protection against the rasomware, it does not have protection against Backdoors, it does not hide very well its IP, it does not have Parental Control, it lacks more options. It protects your pc against almost everything bad out there. Cons Price is not that low compared to other antivirus. sometimes my PC gets slow once the software is running, also during startup. July 11, 2018 4.0 Pros Having great features and strong detection of malware led us to use them more than other antivirus. It has good features to differences between various files and malware. Cons I found sometime lag in processing and detecting the malware. Should also provide parental control would be great feature. The dashboard it has is easy to understand and Cons This software is incredibly overzealous. I have to disable it every time I want to install or uninstall a program because it flags every .exe file - even temporary ones created to uninstall a program - as malicious and deletes it before it can run. Review Source SS Scotty S. Purchasing Manager Machinery Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Avast" July 9, 2019 4.0 Pros Performs as well as Norton or McAfee, but is at a lower price point. Seems to have as much protection as other more expensive brands. Cons Not a lot that I saw as negatives. Possibly they could run better deals as I was able to find a deal and switched to a multi user account for Norton. Review Source GM Greg M. Pros Layered security including web security, content filtering, endpoint protection and backup all in 1 product. Cons Nothing. It works as described. So far so good. Alternatives considered [OpenText Core DNS Protection](https://www.capterra.com/p/143127/SecureAnywhere-Web-Security/)[Symantec Endpoint Security](https://www.capterra.com/p/227396/Symantec-Endpoint-Protection/)[Intercept X Endpoint](https://www.capterra.com/p/151731/Sophos-Endpoint-Protection/)[Trellix Endpoint Security](https://www.capterra.com/p/151734/McAfee-Endpoint-Security/) Reason for choosing Avast Ultimate Business Security It was recommended. April 13, 2019 4.0 Pros Everyone with some important files on his or her pc will understand why it pays to spend a good cash on antivirus especially if it is avast. Avast has been there for a while and they need no introduction. More like a role model for others. The few things I like about the software is the easy set up. There is no special settings before installing it. Also, it does its job completely especially detection and blocking of malware when about to be exposed. Cons For the new users it can be very difficult to use. This can be so annoying especially when the interface looks that simple on the outside. The notifications that do pop up on the screen can be annoying especially when you do not want to be distracted. It can be turned off anyway. Review Source VJV Veronica J V. Teacher in Initial Education Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Efficient, easy to use and has a free version" June 18, 2018 5.0 Pros This antivirus is very efficient and easy to use; always ask for updates to prevent new viruses or malware from invading the computer. Cons I could say that it is very annoying the many requests for updates that are required, but it is absurd to do so because it is important and necessary for it to fulfill its function. Review Source JP Joseph P. CEO Health, Wellness and Fitness Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Avast" December 3, 2019 4.0 The overall experience with Avast Business Antivirus has been a positive one. Pros Great product with a highly regarded dedication to providing security across all company workstations. Cons I can not pinpoint something that I liked least about this software. Perhaps less popups upon workstation startup. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Video Editor Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Good but not great! A lot more could have been explored" January 22, 2020 4.0 Avast did shell my technical problems when I was working with major video projects for my clients. Yet, the business pro version could have funneled in more or major other benefits which were not covered essentially. Pros First of all what I liked the most was the fact it had a free version to use. It unexpectedly turned out so well. The product did quick scans, malware scans and even scheduled or daily scans to fix many errors. Actually what came after the free version, that is into the Business version was not of greater difference than the Free part. Cons My expectations from the Business Pro version after using the free version were obviously greater than the Free version. Yet, even the Registry cleaning and temporary file cleaning were not being performed at highest efficiency as even C Cleaner does. Even that is free. Review Source MB Mayling B. Formation Analyst Primary/Secondary Education Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Avast" May 8, 2018 4.0 Pros It's a really good, easy to use security software, and it kept my pc free of virus and working completely fine. Cons I personally didn't like the way it function for the most part, and I have to admit I rather use some other secutirty software. But Avast is a really nice one. Review Source Enrique M. Analista Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "This is one of the most powerful on the market along with panda and norton antivirus I use it in my " March 8, 2018 5.0 The benefit is protection against viruses and threats on the internet, its free versions among others Pros What I like most is that it is easy to use, it contains protection for most of the current viruses, it updates its database online and unlike norton antivirus does not compromise the resources of the team in terms of speed and use such as social networks of facebook youtube that in the case of other antivirus produces interuption in the processes and makes them slow Cons It must be connected to the internet to update the viruses, it has no parental control in case it is used for an educational network Review Source Similar Products Featured
