I've always trusted Avast as my go-to antivirus of all time and never been disappointed. The 24/7 phone support is also something to take into consideration as you know you can go and make a call if something happens to your machine at any time. Cons One of the major cons is also related to the updates as it can be a bit annoying to always receive the notifications that the tool has been updated or that an updated is available. It makes that function of our life (scanning, updating, cleaning) easy. Pros We've been using Avast Business now for 10+ years and all of our employees work with it daily. The biggest help is Avast is lightweight (doesn't take much RAM) and does everything we need it to with an extremely simple UI. We use it for Anti-Virus protection, driver updating, and general cache and file cleaning. Over the years the software has been improving it's UI, and I can't imagine what else it can do but every release seems to be better and better. Cons When starting your computer up, Avast's load time has grown, but it's honestly non-consequential (going from 10 seconds to 30 seconds). Also, occasionally, you get an ad pop-up for a service from them that you haven't purchased yet, but it's very nominal. Pros I'm using avast antivirus for several years. Previously I used to have other kinds of antiviruses. They slowed down the performance of my computer all the time. From the time I have started to use Avast antivirus, all the problems I had with slowing down my computer performance are solved. I like it. It always looks for viruses and even prevents me from entering some webpages that may contain viruses. When I unzip a file, it scans the file entirely so that no virus attacks my computer. It is reliable, safe, and efficient. Cons Avast is a helpful antivirus. I cannot say anything about the Cons of the software. At least, I have not faced any problem yet. Pros This software covers all my small business and personal needs and devices, whether on windows or a server and includes mac devices. The pricing is good with a seat price and no minimum, so I could add or downgrade as my needs changed. Cons There are too many options...they also have small office protection and loads of other products that seem to cross over each other. It was confusing choosing which of their product line to select, even with their selection wizard. I haven't used all the features but I hope do to so soon. Overall the current version is a great 1.0 release and is definitely past the beta phase. I did software for a good decade and one thing we focused on is making sure clients got the keys in their hands immediately (Install was a breeze). I would recommend adding a prereq checker so that the user can know remotely or locally what needs updating or what can prevent the agent from installing. Pros I like being able to monitor and manage agents remotely. Makes life much easier if everything works as expected. Cons Upgrading from the free version or installing the pro version was a nightmare. Nothing worked. After hours of troubleshooting I gave us and just enabled the microsoft one. After a few weeks I got back to it, updates all patches, cleaned the previous version of avast, made sure there were no pending installs, no applications were open and it finally installed. To date, I believe I still have one machine running microsoft since i uninstalled the basic version after avast expired the free version. Avast by far is the best program that will help scan your computer for viruses and malware. Pros Extremely quick at scanning files and determining if programs that you have been infected based on how the program is functioning. Another great aspect is its user-oriented features such as VPN protection and browser clean up. Cons Installation is the only aspect of the program that I'm not the biggest fan of as there's several requirements needed in order to download . The creators do a great job of updating it as often as possible to ensure it stays current and fighting new viruses and trojans. Cons The pricing is a bit high especially for middle-sized and small-sized companies. The mobile software is not as advanced as its counterpart software Kaspersky.
