Pros The deployment of Avast was simple and straightforward. Since it is managed from the cloud there is no need to maintain an onsite server which saves money in the long run. It also doesn't come with any bloat ware and takes minimal resrouces to run in the background. Cons My only con is that it often will detect normal processes from installed services or installations as possibly harmful. You can add exceptions when you run into this as a workaround. Pros Easy installation, very nice interface and easy to use. Automatically scan any device that is connected to the PC, detecting and blocking any danger. It also protects my computer from websites that may be infected and can host viruses, worms, Trojans, etc. on my PC and also monitors instant messaging and email programs. It is updated daily and provides protection in real time. Cons If the speed of the internet is slow when the Avast is updated, the speed of execution of other programs may be affected. It may not rank as high on the top 10 lists as others such as Norton or Mcafee but I personally believe Avast runs less disk space, finds and removes the viruses the best. It is the only antivirus I use for my computer repair customers and also for our data recovery servers to stay safe. Perhaps as single users we don't find the need to protect your computer systems but once you're inside a company, Avast protection pays off. Pros The service is pretty robust and professional. Avast Business Antivirus is a reliable defense against malware and viruses. They offer a terrific monthly price plan with a very affordable price. Avast currently doesn't offer a free version, however it does offer a free trial to help users learn the product. I've used Avast business Antivirus for a while now, and it's a great antivirus that guards my company's sensitive data. Cons Avast in all their products have a high amount of false positive detections, which isn't a big deal, but sometimes we're installing third party software or some open sources plugins and it deletes everything. Pros Avast has been one of the best antivirus I've tried, and I never stop liking it, I can keep my computer safe and protected from any virus, this software can quickly identify any malware, receive some kind of alert to do a full scan, it has several protective shields, in my case I use the basic one, and it keeps me safe. Cons I really love it and I don't see anything negative, but if we talk about it, I could say that sometimes I receive an alert about viruses that are not real, for example, when I save a file received in the mail in Word format, it tells me that it may be infected, and I really do not think so, since it is sent from another computer using Avast as an antivirus and also the one who sends it to me is a co-worker, so I think that sometimes I usually make those mistakes. Our servers are much more secure as a result of use of Avast for business. Pros Avast Business offers what they call a "predictive" protection against maturing threats from virus and malware. This proactive and less reactive approach to server protection is what we value most. Avast will identify potential threats and alert they user as they arrive and are quarantined. We also value Avast's included checklist of tasks which advise our control department how best to maintain satisfactory security levels per station. Avast will also scan our NAS support devices to make sure they are also threat free. Cons Our only observation regarding a possible negative would be a consistent presentation of pop up ads which present product offerings from Avast to us. There must be a more fluid and potentially less intrusive sales tactic available for our team to learn more of Avast's substantial offerings without interrupting certain business .processes. Or else it also slows down the whole performance of the systems or makes the other apps completely null. I wouldn't have the slightest idea what this would entail, but I imagine any time you need to install a program on a server that connects 25+ vastly different computers you're bound to run into a few hangups. Pros Very easy to use once set up. Just check a few boxes, and don't uncheck them unless you are absolutely certain that 'quarantined' items are not corrupted. They even have a proxy set up so that websites are essentially scanned prior to viewing. Pretty cool. Cons Their support took over a week to get back to us when we were setting up a system-wide Avast over about 25 computers.
