Recommend it every MSP I know. Put in the time and effort to manage it properly and you'll reap massive rewards.

Pros

With Kaseya now integration its whole stack together - the benefit of organizing all your data into IT Glue just continues to improve with time. We've been able to integrate data from 365 (licenses, bitlocker, intune, users, etc) right into a customers org, securely share credentials, grant customers access via MyGlue, build out Network Maps - the list just goes on and on. They're constantly improving and taking feedback from the community - very happy with the future of the platform.

Cons

Like any platform - it's about the time and effort you put in. The initial time to get going was definitely a lot in our case since we had just a long history of half-hearted documentation and a lot of stale data everywhere.

Great product, I love the analytics in the backend for metrics with the team. Its a great incentive to get them to document things. We document everything and having the ability to break things into folder etc is amazing.

Pros

ITGlue has a extensive library of templates for configurations and documentation. The integration between connectwise and other platforms is second to none.

Cons

The overall UI design leaves something to be desired. Its bulky and little things like not being able to ctrl+a to select a whole line of text is annoying.

Pros

IT Glue is very intuitive, and I especially appreciate how easy it is to link assets to applications and services. The platform continues to improve with useful features, and the available APIs make it highly adaptable.

Cons

Honestly, I can’t think of any significant downsides. Compared to other documentation platforms I’ve used in the MSP space, IT Glue stands out as top tier.

Overall, my experience with IT Glue has been very positive. It has streamlined how we manage documentation, standard operating procedures, notes, and critical client information in one central platform. The ability to link assets, create structured SOPs, perform quick text edits, and collaborate with the team in real time has been a huge time saver. The password injection integration with Datto RMM is especially powerful, allowing technicians to securely access systems without exposing credentials while improving efficiency and security across daily operations.

Pros

I really like how IT Glue makes day-to-day work faster and more organised. The Q shortcut to instantly find any documentation saves a huge amount of time, especially when juggling multiple clients. The Smart SOP generator is also very helpful for creating consistent processes quickly. I also value the ability to securely store 2FA details, which keeps everything in one place while maintaining strong security for the team.

Cons

The search function can sometimes feel inconsistent, especially when trying to locate older or very specific records. Another issue is that even after an organisation is archived, some passwords still appear in search results, which can be confusing and impact overall data cleanliness.

I have been using it for several years and I would not go back to another documentation method. My experience has been mostly positive. The platform is easy to use, intuitive, and highly customizable, which makes documentation straightforward. However, there are some drawbacks. Despite these limitations, IT Glue remains a solid choice for centralized IT documentation, especially for MSPs looking for efficiency and consistency.

Pros

The interface is user-friendly, easy to navigate and customize. The integration with several vendors makes the documentation automation a blast.

Cons

The support sometimes is slow and feature request takes time to implement. Although there are a lot of integration already baked in, some are missing in my opinion to make a modern documentation tool.

I have used IT Glue for roughly 7 years and absolutely love it. IT Glue keeps getting better each year and their client support team is extensive and caring. if you need any support, their engineering support collabs with you for best practice and successful workflows.

Pros

IT Glue is a structured and organized but so interconnected. I love the tabs and configurations. this allows easy collaboration of live documents without getting lost in the white noise spiderweb connections.

Cons

Cannot Archive Imported files like word, excel and PDFs. this would be a great feature to include. I think we could have a lot of functionality added if this gets included.

IT Glues core features work very well. When using just the website, the ability to easily add documentation (you can import directly from word or PDF documents), share passwords with OTP codes, and easily add network documentation from Lucid all work very well. The downside is some of the integration features don't work - the password extension does not function and the DattoRMM integration for passwords is buggy.

Pros

Ease of use and features. The ability to share important information with all members of the IT staff is critical. We use it for asset information, passwords, network diagrams and knowledge base articles.

Cons

Can be a bit confusing to setup and integrate with other Kaseya products. The UI can sometimes be a bit cumbersome to use - requiring multiple clicks to get where you need to go. The password extension does not work correctly.

IT is really great. It provides an easy to document processes, manage passwords and collaborate with teams. Using the simple account/security management, we were able to onboard our first employee and give them access to all the account they need. This includes documentation and passwords to jump in and start working right away.

Pros

IT Glue has this feature Cooper Copilot Smart SOP Generator that allows you to basically record the steps you take for a procedure and automatically documents it. This is an amazing feature and creates an easy way to create documentation that can easily be shared with team members.

Cons

I would like the domain and SSL tracker to also monitor the website for downtime. I don't like the way it creates a default location completing certain actions, even when an address already exists.

Pros

The ability to relate items to each other has been paramount. It's easy to navigate and use. Lots of great integrations.

Cons

Wish there was interaction with the dev team on technical issues. Configuration matching can sometimes not work well with integrations.

I've used ITGlue for at least over 10 years and it's been the best tool I've ever seen for Documentation. Documentation via automation with an RMM and APIs has been incredibly useful.

Pros

Simplicity. It hasn't been burdened down with tons of unnecessary features and add-ons. Everything that it needs to be is there. It's also very versatile and the APIs are excellent for automation. Keeping things simple means it's fast.

Cons

API documentation / features / some rate limiting. Other than that, it's very solid. The simplicity is what makes it the best.

It's the first portal I open every day and it's where I most spend my time searching for information for gaining access to other system with credentials stored.

Pros

Place to store all the information related to customer assets, operations and people in a way one can easily find anything. Integration with PSA and RMM helps in getting a unique place where to store information.

Cons

Items referral is great and let me be able to map even complex situations. OTP for password is a great feature and let me avoid set it on a device that could be lost. Edge extension is great to pass credentials with ease to any login page.

My overall experience is an A- and ITGlue has definitely made our business more efficient. Now that we are fully on Kaseya it allows all the various integrations to make ITGlue a powerhouse of a documentation system

Pros

The fact ITGlue can be a one stop shop for everything documentation for our clients. IT allows us to support our clients and for us to scale as a business because we have SOPs and automation built in

Cons

I would say its Offline feature is limited and needs improvement. It only works with one browser and it is a bit of a process to get it setup

Pros

Ease of use mainly, and the ability to integrate with the other products in the Kaseya suite e.g. DRMM, AutoTask etc.

Cons

It can get a little complicated to configure some things, and the integrations with non-Kaseya products are a bit hit and miss.

Great source of truth for each customer. The ability to export all data on a customer-basis is also beneficial.

Pros

The ability to sync with our PSA as well as other software in our technology stack has saved time by reducing data entry as well as reduced user error, thus saving us time.

Cons

Would like a way to sync IT Glue to a SharePoint library. Although this would be a difficult task considering permissions, we would even consider starting a new SharePoint library just for this feature, which will allow us to have our customer documents synced to a subsequent library in SharePoint, which our team typically produces documents from in the first place.

I'm very happy with the overall purpose and function of what IT Glue provides for our operations.

Pros

The integrations with other platforms and systems, is the greatest strength and benefit on augmenting data with core systems in information. It really assists with automating a large portion of information and processes we have in place for our customers, and the services we provide. With these integrations we are able to automate many tasks and processes that would take quite a bit of manual labor otherwise, by providing a secure, streamline, automated solution to keep our team nimble and flexible for our customers; giving us the ability to work on more than one problem or issue simutaneously. The time to click to get the answer is a game changer and lifesaver bar none.

Cons

Ability to setup MyGlue Structure and management for Customer Users. Another Con and wish, is the ability to synch with more than one PSA simultaneosly. The ability to do more automapping to exising configs for a new integration or new system that is added with integrations instead of having to make a manual mapping of a config for a customer whent the information already exists. Insted map paired configs that have the matching information and any that are not matched and fail mapped provide a list those items instead of being tasked with mapping things manually each time a new integration that requires mapping and matching to an existing config.

I have worked with IT Glue since I started my career in IT five years ago I love it and it has helped me succeed in assisting clients with desktop support in a timely fashion.

Pros

I love how it integrates with Quickpass and Autotask and how we can have third-party support and Clients access information we want them to access.

Cons

creating groups and utilizing them to assign specific access can cause issues. when adding vendor information, some of the required information is not recorded and causes errors when trying to save the vendor.

It's been transformitive to move our documentation from OneNote back into a structured documentation system. We used to have one years ago but it was shut down by the company that acquired it. Now we're also using it to document all of our internal processes in the business (i.e., sales, accounting, etc.) not just technical processes.

Pros

It's got most of the features we need, good integrations, and very good role-based security.

Cons

It lacks document tagging, and the rich text controls seem to have two different/conflicting settings for headings with regard to how they show up when used (i.e., different HTML style headings whether you're using the control at the top of the section, or the one that appears when you select text).

So intergarted with the kaseya suite meaning all the systems just glue togther making major automation

i find in kasya the support is sadly not always great and the problem with that is as products if it goes down its hard to get help

IT glue does exactly what it states it does with very little limitations on how you and the team can manage the customer data.

Pros

IT glue password management enables me and the team to manage, control and ensure fast customer support with ease of use by having all of the information in one place. OTP Management for User accounts has been amazing.

Cons

Autofill from the web extension and web extension navigation is terrible and hard to navigate. browser extension could do with a rework for autofilling.

I couldn't do my job without IT Glue. I am in and out of it all day long. Very organized and easy to use.

Does not automatically bring in new configurations. I have to go to integrations and match or create them.

Great, I couldn't think of a con to it. We have lots of clients and helping them track their passwords and keep 2FA tokens, and the granular permissions for all the items is wonderful.

Pros

I love the history, ability to share with clients and integration it provides with other Kaseya products. Places to store documentation, passwords, files all in one place.

Cons

I can't think of one.

I have worked in IT Glue for over 5 years including designing a fresh tenant and migrating 13 acquisitions of data into that primary tenant. The API is fairly easy to work with excluding documents. One gotcha about customization means that in M&A, you will have very different version of the same concepts.

Pros

IT Glue allows for a large amount of integrations and customization from an asset layout.

Cons

Platform permissions could use an overhaul allowing for granular control without losing global consistency.
