We switched to IT Glue as a new repository for our configuration, licensing and password recording due to its security and ability to link related records. This includes linking a server to the applications running on it, linked to passwords to their respective management consoles etc.

Pros

Separate but related pieces of information can be linked making it simpler to gain an overall understanding of how a system is set up.

Cons

No real downsides come to mind but then I am not looking for a reason not to like or use it.

It's the best place to save passwords, contacts, documentation, and everything. No more spreadsheets that can be compromised, or not kept updated. The audit log is good too so you can see who or when something was updated.

Pros

The ability to save everything that IT uses, for all users, so nothing gets lost and it's secure.

Cons

Some of the categories could be improved, but they are always updating it.

My overall experience has always been better with ITGlue. As I am working for an MSP, I rely a lot on ITGlue for recording and accessing data/documentation.

Pros

As a day-to-day user of ITGlue, in both using existing Data and documenting new data, I find it easy to work with ITGlue. I also like their efforts in merging AI capabilities to make it interesting and less and less painful to manage. I have been using Datto SaaS integration and I am happy to see they have made improvements to it and now we can see more information than before. This means they are heading in the right direction and listening to feedback. Also, I highly appreciate them bringing in Secure Credential Sharing into ITGlue, which is a must for MSPs. Now we can stop depending on third-party solutions and share credentials with peace of mind.

Cons

I believe NetworkGlue is a feature that should be built into standard ITGlue, instead of selling it separately. Again, this is just my idea.

Great product. Love the tools that enable easy input of UNs and PWs in RMM

Pros

Ease of access to all passwords and data relating to any client

Cons

Navigation can be a bit lengthy. Clicking through multiple layers and going back to get into another organization. It can also be easy to accidentally wipe out a password.

Easy to use and navigate and integrate 3rd part applications like Datto RMM.

Cons

When syncing the devices from Datto RMM, I had to essentially confirm all the devices page by page. I would have like to had an "approve all" button

Pros

We love how it stores all documentation and user/device credentials, but mostly how it integrates with all other Kaseya/Datto products in K365.

Cons

The integration with AutoTask doesn't include contacts.

### "Avoid at all costs!"

This company (Kaseya) have bought many different solutions and turned them into add-ons. The primary solution for five engineers is over £400 per month. When we complained about the system not working as described, they suggested we pay another £2000 per month for Kaseya 365. Our complaint was dealt with by the sales department, which quoted completely inaccurate pricing. I was stupid enough to sign up for 3 years due to large discounts over a 12 month contract. I am now arguing with them to get out of the contract but their contracts are written for them not the Client. Our lawyers have said "While the Agreement is a little confused and unclear in places, the contract is valid". However, the demonstration we had bought little resemblance to the final product as all information had to be entered manually and is not automatic as shown to us.

Pros

The initial demonstration which showed automated field population from ticket systems and Microsoft

Cons

Extra add-ons to make anything work. Poor support. Constant upselling more of their products

I love the flexibility you have with the flexibel assets and integration with DattoRMM. It makes your everyday job so much easier, and you get stuff done even quicker! Also sharing specific assets and documentation directly with your customer trough MyGlue and collaborate in knowledge is a big plus!

Pros

Perfect integration with DattoRMM and the global search works.

Cons

The browser plugin: It sometimes doesn't show the password although the URL is exactly the same and when you look up the password you have to search it two or three (when you need OTP) times.

We have been using IT Glue for a very long time and we haven't had any major issues. Our client's data is kept secure.

Pros

IT Glue is great for keeping all your client documentation secure and in an orderly way. The integration with our PSA and RMM solutions ensure that everything is kept up to date and we don't have to update everything in 3 separate places.

Cons

The add-ons. We are paying for the top license yet there re still more add-ons that have to be purchased separately if you want to utilize all aspects of the software.

Pros

IT Glue is awesome for documentation. Especially for me as part of a managed service provider. Its well organized and you can easily look up passwords for every customer you might need.

Cons

I used IT Glue for over a month now but cant talk about any major flaws because there are none as far as i can tell.

This is a great product and is a very good tool to organize data/knowledge for multiple clients securely

Pros

ITGlue provides all the features to track documentation, processes, environment data, passwords and knowledge for an MSP to manage multiple clients and allow our teams to easily find client data. ITGlue integrates well with our other tools allowing us to sync certain data from other systems to keep some client data up to date automatically

Cons

ITGlue has a steep learning curve to understanding the various concepts and best practices that we have to put a lot of time into training staff to understand ITGlue but once you understands ITGlue's way of organizing everything it is very useful and does make process more efficient

IT Glue allows us to centralize nearly all of the information we need to keep track of, and gives us the next best thing to a dedicated HUD for status. That said, the fact that it can alert us to critical issues completely resolves the HUD issue and being able to provide access to multiple departments for centralized documentation company-wide is exceptionally helpful.

Pros

Having our information in one easy to access (and manage) place, as well as knowing it is secure and protected are both key features. The ability to also integrate with just about anything and use those integrations to keep our information not only centralized, but also updated in real time is another boon to this product.

Cons

Importing data from another tenant should be simpler and more complete. If you want to migrate to your own instance, it's not as simple as receiving an export and then just uploading it. It would be much better if a 'cross-tenant migration' could be accomplished by importing a complete export rather than having to pay for the back-end transfer, or manually importing each piece of information, one item at a time.

### "Best Asset Management System I've Used"

IT Glue solves many problems for us daily. It primary use for us is Password and Asset management. Without IT Glue we would have no single place to go when searching for information on our clients, their locations, users, ISPs, telcos, servers, firewalls, etc. IT Glue houses all of the critical information that keeps ours and our client's business running.

Pros

IT Glue is an excellent platform that is easy to use and quite customizable. Most importantly, it is fast and reliable. We have experienced very few outages over the years with ITG and with their automated offline backup, we were able to continue operations with minimal impact.

Cons

While one of it's strengths, the simplicity of ITG can also be a weakness. I would like to see more controls implemented in user permissions and access. As well, it would be great to be able to toggle certain features on/off completely if they are not used.

Quickly I created standards for documentation, custom Flexible Assets for our uses, and poured all our existing documentation into it. Overall we are super happy with the product. Now that we have a better idea of the best way to use it, we can get our team onboard, and everyone will be happy and able to work more efficiently.

Pros

We made an intentional push at the end of 2022 to make ITGlue the one truth in our organization. By doing this, we created a naming standard for documents and configurations which is making searching a breeze for our team. We also are using more of the built in integrations which is really helping automate some of the documentation that we need to create

Cons

It seems like Kaseya is really just starting to put some more love into ITGlue, so some of the integrations have some challenges and their documentation does not really tell you much on how it all works.

It’s easy to use and to control - and it will do the stuff we need. User acceptance is high.Integrations make usage pretty simple and enrich manual entered data.

Cons

Development could be faster and better balanced between new features and bugfixes/housekeeping.Graphs from Network Glue can’t be enriched or customized. So we still need a third party software to draw network diagrams.Network glue also isn’t aware to display several broadcast domains.

Apart from the significant pros I have mentioned above, we recently started using IT Glue check lists to eliminate the requirement of painfully maintaining documents especially when we are doing new users/leavers or other work that requires sustaining a checklist.

Pros

I like how it integrates with almost all of the other systems used by MSPs across the globe, bringing all information into a single space for easy visibility and management.I like how it lets you link flexible assets with each other. For example, if you add an application to ITGlue, you can connect all related documents and configuration items to that specific application. So, when someone looks at it, at a glance they get a picture of what else is linked with it without scratching their head or wasting time to figure out related items.Also, I like how it lets control access to certain information. You can decide who has access to certain information. This is an essential feature in the MSP space when security is a major concern because not everybody needs access to everything.

Cons

I would like to see an improved version of Datto SaaS integration rather than just displaying a summary of the SaaS backups on the landing page for each client.

Reason for choosing IT Glue

We received good feedback from other MSPs about IT Glue and good input from White Labeled NOC service providers we used to work with.
