Pros I really like how easy and intuitive it is to use. The version history has saved me quite a few times with accidental clicking. The ability to offer it to our clients with a replacement to Last Pass is a huge value added to our services. Cons The searching in the documents section doesn't search inside of folders which is annoying. Also, the check all and then change permissions is hidden and someone lacking in options. March 15, 2023 5.0 Our account manager is awesome and is very responsive with any and all my questions. It has helped us with lost time trying to remember what documentation is where or passwords for that matter. It is a go to spot that our whole team uses . I am very happy with this solution and am at a point we are now going to offer MyGlue to our clients . Pros I like the granularity of permissions, the auditing it has, and how much more productive our team is have one location to go for passwords,how tos, licensing, etc. We especially like the OTPs in the passwords because then we do not have to track down who has what MFA and can get in easily. Pros The integration with ConnectWise Manage was nice. Cons There is not a way to import passwords in to a subfolder, so if you are importing personal passwords they have to go in the root of a folder and then you have to move them. Moving them is problematic because IT Glue times out if you try to move more than 40 at once. IT Glue... blah, blah, blah" August 22, 2023 4.0 again, overall it's been great. No significant downtimes or outages, yet. that was the biggest problem w/ PP - that, and they'd lose our documentation from time to time. Pros I generally like the overall ease of use of IT Glue. I like also that I can open several customers in different browser tabs so as to effectively work on several devices at one time. I copy/paste passwords from IT Glue a lot because I'm running updates on servers/devices at night on weekends and, unlike PassPortal, i can open multiple customers and still copy/paste the correct passwords where needed. the other product would mix passwords, etc. Searching documentation is also a breeze in IT Glue. Cons One thing I liked about PassPortal (our previous tool) was that we'd implemented a password plugin into ConnectWise ScreenConnect. I know IT Glue offers something along those lines but my company has yet to implement it. Not really a negative for IT Glue - more my company. Being able to create custom flexible assets using the software is also extremely easy and allows us to create meaningful data that is customized to a particular business process or role. Cons One thing that can sometimes be annoying is when trying to attach files to documents or other assets and having the 100 MB file limit cap. Having a higher file limit cap would make the product more useful for attaching files needed for installation to an SOP or Application flexible asset, for example. August 9, 2023 5.0 Pros Integrations with RMM and PSA make linking items to each other a breeze. Love the document creation platform which makes it super simple to create and publish SOP docs. Going back to the first point, their related items feature is the bomb. Linking passwords to configurations, or switches to firewalls, you name it, it makes finding the information you need super simple! Cons Very occasionally, their system becomes inaccessible to me because of some internal DNS issue. This has not happened in a number of months. Review Source TG Todd G. Pros ITGlue was the first platform we used to centralize our knowledge and build data and documentation in a way that could scale with a growing company. Cons Searching in ITGlue requires training and is unintuitive. User permission management has evolved but is still silly. Reason for choosing IT Glue ITGlue was first to market for us and, having been with ITGlue since 2017, we recognized the need at the time, bought into the messaging from the ITGlue team at that time, and realized the results almost immediately. Pros The integrations and setup of ITG was very easy. It quickly grabs the information from other sources like RMM or backups. One you get the hang of the user interface, it becomes second hand nature. Anything and everything important goes into ITGlue! Pros This web based platform is a one stop shop for all of our critical client information. If we need to know something about one of our clients, it always ends up in itglue! I personally love how everything is organized into clients and categories so I can easily find exactly what I'm looking for! Cons The one thing I think could use improvement would be uptime. I will rarely see that ItGlue will become non accessible due to issues or maintenance . This doesn't happen very often but causes a big impact when it does. Review Source CP Chris P. Still, that team had no issues getting it done in the end. Pros I've worked for a few MSPs, and documentation solutions have ranged from average to awful, even to non-existent. Before IT Glue we used OneNote and it was very cumbersome and not secure. This is a much better solution! Cons The only thing I can think of is the outages sometimes with no access to the cloud. Director of Technology Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Good product, but greedy company and pushy sales people" May 3, 2018 3.0 Pros The flexible asset system helps you tailor the experience to your individual needs - the default templates were good but being able to easily customize them made them better. The audit log is helpful for seeing changes made in the system and is useful when an employee leaves, so you know what passwords need to be changed. If configured properly, the Chrome extension saves time when logging into various websites. Lots of integrations with PSA/RMM systems. Cons The company has filled a niche in the MSP market for documentation. They don't have many competitors. As such, they use this as an excuse to price gouge their customers and provide customer service that basically says "if you don't like us, good luck finding another product". They boast how they are constantly "upgrading and adding new features". What they fail to say is these new features are only added to their most expensive subscription plan (Enterprise) - which for smaller companies is completely overkill. The most requested feature for the last 5 years, Runbooks, was finally added and made Enterprise level only. This is the only way to neatly export your companies data out of their system in an easy to read and organized format - feels like a hostage situation to me. They like to pretend like the Basic/Select plans don't exist, and even went as far as trying to trick me into signing up through a link that was configured to Enterprise subscription when I specifically stated I was only interested in Basic. The "onboarding fee" is just a money grab. I did not feel I got my "money worth" when onboarding - they just sent me some youtube videos to watch. We use the software at our company because we needed the service it provided, which it does well. But as for the company itself, I am less than pleased. If there were better options, I probably would have chosen differently. Pros My favorites are the revision history, auditing, OTP and related items capability. Cons Sometimes the data is slow on loading or refreshing.
