Pros

The setup is relatively easy, as is the mapping.

Cons

The price point for the full package doesn't seem worth the upgrade. Even at a discounted price, it feels like price gouging.

Pros

Its Easy to use, we accelerate time to implementations x10, easy to install and it is really fast.

Cons

Same times we have trouble with field types, but it is relative easy correct it

It has a great graphical model environment. We can easily model data, optimize queries, design data services, build transformations, and manage resources. We can collaborate many department data sources at a single source, which makes for easy access to information. Collaboration with a bigger team is quite difficult. Also, it is not possible to create custom interactive reports. Mainly, TIBCO DV needs to improve its cost, when compared to other tools in the market. it does have good support, which is appreciated. I would recommend it for larger enterprises that have a lot of data to analyze.

Pros

It supports various data sources and allows more flexibility to explore different use cases and the number of data sources available. If you have multiple data sources it is recommended for you. It's a faster tool that joins data from multiple data sources. Easy access and integration with an analytics tool. It is a great tool to work within traditional databases.

Cons

The cost and licensing of the product are quite high, so it is not recommended for smaller enterprises. Need to improve on performance and usability. This tool doesn't have the capability to download data into an Excel file. We have to change metadata for downloading because it still does not support flat file output. They need to improve the public documentation on troubleshooting data integration to third-party systems.

Reasons for choosing TIBCO Data Virtualization

As an enterprise, we have multiple departments, so we wanted to join all the department data sources at one point for easy access to information. TIBCO DV helped us solve this problem. Its great algorithm makes our data searches easier and more efficient.

This was earlier cisco federation now tibco virtualize Its really good when you don't want to migrate data to another system but want to directly use the data from another db We r using in combination with Greenplum and Db2

Performance during very high parallel queries suffers a little
