Overall it is a well-designed, feature-rich eLearning platform with fantastic support. Pros Well-designed tools and features for administrators and course designers. Easy and intuitive layout providing an efficient platform to deploy and update courses, monitor course attendance, and more. A wide range of features for embedding content on the course pages - for example images, videos, external links, H5P objects, HTML code. Available course page layouts ensure structure and clarity for the optimal online learning experience. Cons It would be great to see even more page layouts, creative options available. The support from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was exceptional. Pros It is a very straightforward product I would recommend it if most of your training is video-based. Although you also have an opportunity to create a personalised learning experience with a clear path. The platform is modular which makes it very easy to create learning modules. Overall great quality for a moderate price. Cons In the end we are not going to continue using Eurekos because of the lack of social component. There are forums but we were looking for integrations with instant messaging, topic-based forums with posted content by moderators. Already from the beginning I had a great impression and a great feeling about the platform, because compared to other platforms we had been in contact with prior to implementation, Eurekos really stood out as a platform that was specifically designed with the best interest of the learner in mind and the know-how, of what this implies. This is reflected in all available features, which we are using across a wide ray of business use cases (external trainings that can be purchased individually, in-house trainings, face-to-face courses, eLearnings, webinars, blended courses etc…). As not only an admin, but also an instructional designer I was and am still very happy to be able to work with a tool that comprehends and combines the technical needs with the needs of the instructional design in order to makes online courses innovative and efficient learning environments. The team is amazing and always supportive in regard to any questions that might appear. It is truly a pleasure to have such a great cooperation partner. Pros One of the key strengths of the software is still its usability and flexibility as well as the extensive features and the constant improvement and updates. From the beginning the features were easy to use and adapt according to one’s business needs. From course administration to the integrated authoring tool, the LMS encompasses a lot of features that support with each individual use case we have. You don’t get lost in all the features 😉 but whatever you need, the platform always offers a solution …and in the rare cases it doesn’t, the Eurekos team always does 😊 Constant updates and innovative new features not only improved the existing features but also create possibilities for new use cases. I noticed right away that our team could work with the Eurekos platform without much assistance or training from me. This was new! It meant less work for me, and more work done by the team. And the course creators were having fun doing the work. In the past I would have had to layout much of the content myself and use a lot of CSS to make everything look nice. This platform keeps things simple so the layouts pretty much take care of themselves and look decent out of the box. You don't have to be a web designer to create a decent looking page. The course creation interface is both powerful and easy to use. Every kind of content is modular and can be dragged and dropped to any location in the layout. And there are various layout options to choose from. Creating an organized course structure is a snap, and it is flexible enough to easily alter as needed. Behind the scenes, the platform allows for granular user permissions control so important to our work. In the span of a year many features have been improved and substantive new features added. Users can now enroll themselves into the platform and choose activities to participate in. That is a great time saver for user administrators like myself. I could go on.... Cons Eurekos is very focussed on functionality, and they really come through on delivering it. The graphic design of the platform is of professional quality, but it is mostly fixed. June 7, 2018 5.0 I can set up my own online courses when ever I want. I can be creative and make great courses. It is just so easy to do and it makes my work playfull. Pros I really like the user interface. It is very easy to structure a course with the course builder as an interactive mind map. You can easily work with templates, if you want the single pages to look alike. Once the course is set up, it is also easy to put in different kinds of content from many sources. And the H5P-elements works so fine! I have a background as a teacher and I have worked several years in the publishing industry developing teaching materials. In both professions - and when it comes to online learning - I feel that I can be very creative. When you run the courses, it is clear, that you have a very modern LMS. Social learning works so well with many possibilities of interaction and communication student/student and teacher/student both in the open and private. The web conference works so fine and gives me a good way of talking to the students in small groups. And I can follow the students progression of course. Cons What I like least is very few things. One is that I miss a global content box - a way to update something on every page in one operation. Another is that the web conference is not a webinar tool. Eurekos is the platform we use for all of our internal and external training for our software. We use it to teach all of our employees as well as our 2,500+ customers. It works great and our employees and customers both love it. Pros The Eurekos platform is amazing. We use it internally and externally for product education and training for our software. We can host both live and prerecorded trainings. It is easy to create new content and manage existing content because the user interface makes sense. Customer service has been great when needed too and the value we get for what we pay is outstanding. We use the platform to train all of our 2,500+ customers and internal staff too. Cons There isn't really anything I don't like about it. It is such an awesome software. Pros 1) Great and fast support. 2) The interconnection of all contents. Videos, pictures, etc. need to be swapped only once in the archives, and are then updated in every training due to the interconnection. This makes updating content so easy. 3) The audit trail and the massive reporting. Any change to the system is tracked and can be downloaded. So important! Also training statistics are huge and individual standard reports can be created for different user groups. 4) The incredibly fast way of creating new trainings or importing new users. 5) The automation rules for e-mails and enrollments. Once the system is fully set up, it lasts like 2 minutes to import a list of new users and let them be enrolled in the correct trainings. 6) The massive possibilites Eurekos offers. Eurekos seem like being designed to be a knowledge/learning-hub for their customers. Cons Nothing. I am totally in love with this system. Pros The platform is easy to use and intuitive from an admin point of view. From a learner point of view, it is highly engaging. Learners can have adaptive learning paths and the platform is rock solid and great looking on any device. Eurekos clearly spends a lot of time thinking about user experience and the platform is constantly improving with regular updates and new features. The inclusion of H5P interactive elements allows the creation of highly engaging learning materials. The big difference with Eurekos is that the in-built authoring tool is easy to use and the end results are amazing. You can of course import your usual SCORM and xAPI courses, but the industry is gradually moving more towards an agile approach where clients and their partners create courses more quickly and the client can then make edits themselves. With Eurekos this becomes a reality. The final thing to say is that the support is excellent. The technical team really knows its stuff and they're quick to respond to any queries. The onboarding and training is great and you never feel like you've been left to figure something out on your own. If you can't find the answer in the knowledge base, you know that the team will be there to help. Cons Although Eurekos appears on the Fosway grid, it isn't seen in the same circles as the bigger LMSs yet. This is a shame because large corporates, who would typically go to the big ERP vendors for their LMS, are missing out on some amazing functionality. With Eurekos I was able to have different learning experience streams depending on the learners but all in one place. Cons I realized that we had a shortage of information on cross-portal engagement report. I manually compiled metrics so as to have an integrated scorecard of learners leading to compromising the training outcomes decision-making processes.
