Database Manager Religious Institutions Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Why I don't care for HoneybeeBase " February 5, 2020 1.0 I miss our old system where I could tell when my coworkers where out of the office or easily tell how many hours I'd work or how many vacation days I had left and didn't mysteriously malfunction so it looks like I worked all night or never returned from my lunch break. Now I don't even like bees. Pros I am straining to find anything I enjoy about HoneybeeBase except for bees. I like bees. Cons This software is cumbersome and frequently logs me out or in. We are also solving problems of employees giving in a fake clock in time. Pros It was very efficient and easy to use, every user had their own Login information. Cons It required a login information, which usually took a little time to sign in and almost made employees appear late. Soft wares where ID's are simply swiped seem good. We also found a lot of human error. THis product has helped us address these issues. Pros All of our contract workers can use their own phone and clock in and clock out. They can also review their hours. It tracks hours for us so we remove human error. Cons there is a lag time between the time you request a timesheet and when it is sent to you. You can only send the accounting reports to the admin. I have to then forward it to the supervisor. You cannot add a person's hourly wage in the form to calculate the number of hours. Also, I cannot tell which clinic they worked. We move around a lot and I have to track down the clinic outside of this system. Review Source JP Jennifer P. It is a great way to communicate schedules. Pros Clocking in is easy, and communication between staff members is possible. Cons It was very difficult and took many tries over about a month to add a person to create the schedule at one location. Finally got it to work, but not sure how we did it. Cons I feel this should be a desktop application of some sort, instead of always have to open it in internet explorer or google chrome, or at least have a background app that stays open to remind you to clock in and out. It is hard sometimes to go to a employee's time sheet if they are not working and then editing the time sheet is hard. January 16, 2019 4.0 We were using call logs previously to track our employee hours, time off, etc. It was SO much work. Once we implemented Honeybee, it went SO much more smoothly. And the integration with QuickBooks is an added bonus! Pros I love the ease of use for the employees clocking in and out, sending notes to their supervisors, and overall time-tracking. Cons It took me just a little bit to figure out some of the in-depth settings, like locking it to a specific terminal, but with the help of their Customer Support, we got it figured out pretty quickly. Other programs I have used are all better. Cons Requesting time off is no where near intuitive. Every other similar program I've used has a calendar where you can click and select the days and just write in the hours for each day on the calendar. honeybeeBase requires you to select dates from a drop down that doesn't even tell you what day of the week it is, requiring you to open a separate program. You then have to select the dates again after you have already selected them. The entire thing should be way more visual and use a calendar to interact.
