It works for our purpose. Pros I used Dynamic Web TWAIN to integrate document scanning in one of our custom websites. It's a versatile tool and works well. I like the fact that even if you are not connected to a scanner, the tool gives you the ability to test with a dummy scanner. Cons We ran into some issues after a version upgrade and the test scanner disappeared. We reached out to Dynamsoft support and they helped to resolve the problem. If upgrades are more seamless, that'll be appreciated. Review Source LD Lance D. I was able to implement the WebScan utility into my internal organization webpage without much issue. This is the only portion of the software that we utilize. It makes it very simple for regular, or non computer literate users, to scan required documents at our employee kiosks. Cons My only real issue is the continual Increase in yearly licensing. When I first purchased the software, I was able to license a non production version because my webpage does not touch the outside world. But after a year that was taken away, forcing me to license the full production version. Increasing the cost by hundreds. Then after another year the price was increased again overall, forcing us to pay hundreds more for the same exact product we've been using for several years. Capturing in a web page means file naming, etc. can be automated, not a clunky scanner interface, then remember to rename the file, etc. Also like the transfer from memory option, so sensitive documents never 'live' on a users machine, only on the server. We changed from another product to go with Dynamsoft a few years ago. Pros The product integrates perfectly with our custom software. We scan directly in to our software for saving the pdfs. Cons The only issue is that when web browsers update we have to figure out how to make your software compatible. I think you all should send out product updates for use with different browser. It works very well; the deployment is easy; it enables me to provide my users with browser scanning abilities (which should not be taken for granted), and simple editing features. It’s a good (expensive) software. Pros The software works very well, almost without any problems. The HTML5 version is very convenient to use as it supports all the major browsers. As a developer, I find the API to be comprehensive, and the documentation accompanying it covers it all very well and (mostly) clear. It makes the use of it fairly simple. Cons The software itself and then the yearly support fees are very expensive. As an ISV, it seriously limits my options with small businesses that simply can’t afford it. Review Source HP Hernán P. Everything worked wonderfully from the first moment. In addition, the general cost of the product is very attractive, since there are other solutions, but because of their price they were prohibitive. Pros We have been looking for many solutions that allow us to perform scans and integrate them into our web applications. Office 365 and Sharepoint on our intranet and we needed a solution that integrates seamlessly. We did it in order to digitize our online documentation within our Intranet and the results we obtained were as expected. Cons We don't have much to say at this point, as the functions for performing our tasks are all included in the product. Perhaps what could be improved would be to include a trial or trial period to be able to analyze the product before making the purchase. The fact that one needs to be a Windows admin to install it first time gave us issues as the organisation is spread all over Greece but this is not a Dynamsoft fault. We are using DWT for more than 3 years now and it was easy to implement online scanning for our EHR due to simple DWT APIs. Pros Dynamic Web Twain has simple API and easy to install for our customers. All our customers are happy with the scanning capability that we have added with DWT.
