### "The task manager I actually kept using"

May 16, 2026

5.0

TickTick has been the most useful to-do list tool I have tested. I bought annual subscriptions for 10 people on my team.

Pros

Simplicity! I tested several other tools, including Vikunja, Trello, Apple Notes, Google Docs with checkboxes, Notion, Todoist, and Apple Reminders, and TickTick was the easiest one for me to actually keep using. I can keep tasks in separate lists when I want to focus on one area, but I can also bring everything together when I need to prioritize across all areas of work. That's one of the key advantages of TickTick for me. I didn't find another service which makes this as much handy to use.

Cons

I wanted more of was AI functionality to help me move faster with task organization and prioritization. TickTick seems to be adding AI features now, so this may improve over time, so I am still waiting to see how useful those features become.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing TickTick

TickTick gave me the best balance of simplicity and structure. It was easier to use consistently than Todoist and more practical for task management than Google Docs.

TickTick was simpler and easier to use daily. I was able to organize tasks without spending too much time maintaining the system.

### "The premium plan is worth using."

November 8, 2024

5.0

I’m using a premium plan, primarily for managing work schedules and personal tasks. Mobile usage is very convenient, especially with automatic date and time recognition, making it easy to add entries without manually setting them. I mainly use the monthly calendar view, which allows me to see all my schedules at a glance—a big advantage. I can easily check off completed tasks with simple finger actions, and the UI is clear and easy to navigate. I also use it on my tablet and PC, and the fast data synchronization is convenient, especially with Google Calendar integration. On mobile and tablet, I use widgets for quick access. I think it shows more schedules when I check a particular day compared to other calendars, so even with a busy day, it doesn’t feel cluttered.

Pros

Easy registration and deletion are very convenient. The automatic date and time recognition feature is especially useful. The mobile widget displays weekly, so I can view my schedule to some extent without opening the app, which is very convenient.

Cons

It's not a major cons, but sometimes it mistakenly recognizes Korean text as a date.

### "More than just a checklist: a powerhouse for daily organization"

June 23, 2026

5.0

My overall experience has been fantastic. TickTick has honestly become the backbone of how I organize both my professional projects and personal life. It bridges the gap between basic task managers and complex project tools beautifully. Once you get past the slight learning curve of customizing the layout to fit your workflow, it works flawlessly across all devices. It has significantly reduced my mental fatigue because I know that if it's in TickTick, it's going to get done.

Pros

What I love most is that it’s an all-in-one productivity hub, not just a simple to-do list. Having tasks, a fully functional calendar with time-blocking, a habit tracker, and a Pomodoro timer in a single app is wonderdul. I used to jump between three different apps just to manage my day, and TickTick completely fixed that friction. Also, its natural language processing is incredibly smart—I can just type "review budget tomorrow at 4pm" and it automatically schedules everything perfectly without me clicking through menus.

Cons

The desktop app can occasionally feel a bit cluttered because it packs so many features into the interface. If you aren't careful with organizing your lists and folders, the sidebar becomes overwhelming. Also, while the free version is decent, a lot of the core features that actually make the app special (like full calendar syncing and custom smart lists) are locked behind the subscription. It's affordable, anyway.

### "TickTick for Basic Task Management"

April 15, 2023

3.0

To keep track of the important tasks needing to be done. Being able to group tasks with tags. Gives a week view for things that need to be done within the next 7 days.

Pros

Easy to enter new tasks, change due date and add tags. It has GTD and Pomodoro Technique capabilities. I wanted to check out the Habit feature.

Cons

The free version has limited features. Calendar View is not available unless you upgrade. I didn't use the GTD and Pomodoro Technique capabilities as they didn't seem useful for what I was trying accomplish on a daily basis.

### "TickTick is my tech sidekick."

May 15, 2023

5.0

TickTick allows me to quickly input notes, tasks, or anything else from wherever I am. There is web functionality along with a full set of desktop and mobile apps. I can then sort through my inbox in TickTick, look at today or this week, filter by tag, add headings to my lists to further separate, etc. I absolutely love it. I never lose track of anything! It has awesome built-in features like a calendar, habit tracker, and Eisenhower matrix for prioritizing. You can also turn a task into a note, add subtasks, pop tasks/notes out into a sticky note...

Pros

One of the best things about TickTick is the versatility. You can keep it SUPER simple, or build out an entire system. You can manage your calendar, habits, tasks, notes, and lists- or just jot down quick to-do's. There are many ways to organize and view tasks, lots of customization options, and a flow that makes sense. There's also a built-in Pomodoro timer, which I love!

Cons

For the most part, I don't think anything is really missing! I'd like to see more appearance customization options within the web app... that's about it.

### "Best productivity & time-blocking software out there"

May 17, 2024

5.0

I've tried them all, and trust me - TickTick is truly the best.

Pros

Calendar view allows me to visualize my tasks in a way I can plan my day - with time blocking and different colors for different tasks. It has a mobile and desktop app, and integrations with other calendars. Looks great and VERY generous free tier.

Cons

Can't think of a single thing to be honest.

Reason for choosing TickTick

TickTick has the most generous free tier and time-blocking options

### "I've been searching for software like this for years"

August 31, 2021

5.0

Amazing. I strongly recomend TickTick for individuals - students or entrepreneurs - who need a simple, but powerful task management software.

Pros

TickTick is simple – not only in the terms of design, but also features, which I consider to be amazing. The problem I have with a lot of task management tools is that for an individual (I don't use TickTick in my team) they just offer too much features, which can be annoying and distracting. Creating tasks in TickTick is fast, and the lists (the same as tags) are transparent – you just can't lose yourself in a ton of assignments. Reminders are also cool, as the sound isn't loud and there are a lot of options which allow customizing them (e.g. set a reminder 1 day ahead, 1h 15 min ahead etc.). Before I used to change the task management software about every 3-6 months. I stick with TickTick for at least 1,5 year and I'm extremely satisfied. The synch with mobile phone is also working well.

Cons

I miss the Kanban board feature for the Today/Tomorrow category.

### "TickTick is GREAT for managing tasks - simple yet robust"

April 18, 2025

5.0

I have used Tick Tick to manage and remind me of personal tasks, SLOW DOWN to sort them by priority, and set up reminders. I also used the habit tracker.

Pros

I have used TickTick mostly for personal and business admin task management on my iPhone and LOVE it. It is clean, easy to use, sets you up with a LOT of different tools to help with decision making (Eisenhower matrix), focus (pomodoro timer and stopwatch), and remembering (scheduling, alarms, etc).

Cons

Picky thing, but I'd have liked the ability to change the ALL the colors. There were a few headings that I was forced to leave in their original, primary colors. And I'm just kind of picky about that. But for the most part, I could alter colors to fit my preferences. :)

### "Love the Siri Integration"

April 28, 2022

5.0

I really have loved TickTick and use it daily. I also have started using the pomo focus portion of the app and have found that to be effective.

Pros

I was searching for an app that would integrate well with Siri on my phone and I was struggling to find it. When I started using TickTick I finally found one that worked well with Siri and I was able to use it as my "assistant" immediately. I am continually adding tasks to TickTick without ever having to grab my phone and type anything, which is VERY important to me.

Cons

I would love for there to be a bit better export option. I have tried to export a list and it did not show up on the paper the way it was listed on my list.

### "TickTick is a great replacement for Wunderlist"

November 3, 2020

5.0

I was a devoted Wunderlist user, but when Microsoft bought Wunderlist then killed it in favor of its To Do app, I needed to find a replacement because To Do didn't have all the functionality of Wunderlist. I tried other list apps, but didn't like the way they looked (Todoist had too much white space and I didn't like the way subtasks looked) or worked and none seemed to have all the functions I wanted. TickTick had everything and then some!

Pros

I love that TickTick has smart lists, an inbox, and the ability to share lists. I also love the Pomodoro timer for productivity! Ability to set recurring tasks and reminders is key.

Cons

I'd love the Custom views to be visible right above Lists instead of in a separate tab.

it remembers all those pending tasks that have to be done, whether personal or work-related, but it helps to always be up to date with the tasks

Pros

it's a fun way to not forget things to do and to have a reminder organized and you can have the events in groups so that it reminds us all of what we have to do, it's useful to me because I forget many things that I have to do daily and sometimes there are so many that my memory forgets them, instead with TickTick everything is easier for me to remember

### "Best on the market if you like simple UI/UX"

May 31, 2022

5.0

Keeping a cluttered mind organized has been the best things possible. We often have too much stuff to do and rarely we remember it all. So having a place to dump your ideas and tasks is a must. This way, when you write it down you can "forget about it", cause it's already there on the list and it will get done. Remembering something later on you should have done and didn't do because you forgot you had to do it just sucks.

Pros

I first came across this software through some Youtubers I follow. After trying it for a few weeks I was hooked, just a very easy interface to work on and very clean/minimal design make it easy to find stuff and work around the software. For a while I wasn't using most of the features it offered, but after I decided to learn how to use the product at its full potential, things changed. I started to get very organized and could separate topics inside my projects so I could track than better. TickTick also keeps on adding features, like the new Eisenhoward Matrix, which helps to see what's the most important things you NEED to get done first. But overall, what I really love about the software is the simple/minimalist interface design, just great to have and to keep a cluttered mind a more organized and peaceful place.

Cons

I really just wish they could implement a timeline visualization feature, it's the only things that's missing for me. Also, I have googled everywhere to see if there was a feature on how to change the font size on my mac laptop, but it doesn't exist, only if you change the system's settings, which I don't want to do. There should be a zoom/font size feature as well on preferences, that would make it much easier for me on the eyes and not having to change the whole system size, which looks too big.

### "Good price-performance ratio, superior calendar planning feature"

July 25, 2022

5.0

I love TickTick for its simpe UI, the superb Calendar feature for planning my week and the fact that it offers apps for all major phone OS as well as a web-app, allowing me to use it on Linux systems without a native application. There are competing apps offering similar featuresets, but only TickTick stuck with me because of the intuitive UI while being extremely fairly priced.

Pros

The Calendar feature that allows me to see all upcoming events (from my iCloud Calendar) and plan my tasks for the week around them. I can drag-and-drop tasks either to a day in the week so they will show up in the "Today" view or even plan exactly when I want to deal with them (e.g., 3pm).

Cons

Calendar sync via CalDav to my iCloud Calendar sometimes takes up to an hour to reflect changes I've done in the calendar, e.g. on my phone. Secondly, I cannot edit my calendar items in TickTick and have the changes show up in my phone' calendar app. This kind of two-way sync would be a killer feature for me personally.

### "My everyday productivity tool"

October 4, 2022

5.0

TickTick is helping me with my day to day task management and makes sure I get my to-do's in order for the day. The built-in Pomodoro timer helps me keep focus on each of the tasks and has increased my productivity significantly.

Pros

I absolutely love it that I can acces TickTick quickly from the top navigation bar. I can quickly add new task and tick the boxes on the one I have finished without opening the full app. I also like it that it has a built in Pomodoro timer with quick access, so I don't have to install another app. Ticktick is easy to use and has almost no learning curve.

### "Great ToDo Application with Some Questions"

November 28, 2018

4.0

TickTick is a very, very capable task manager with outstanding apps on all platforms. It's quick, syncs perfectly, and is very feature-rich. However, the Chinese ties and accompanying privacy and security policies may be a turnoff.

Pros

\- Very fast and perfect sync - Cross-platform without a hitch - The Team develops and adds features very quickly - Calendar view is fantastic - Free version is already very capable and great value - iOS and Android versions are fantastic

Cons

\- There's an iffy privacy and security policy, and the company is based in China. This feels very uncomfortable if you want to trust an application with private information. - Only really 2-3 levels deep when it comes to creating task lists - Support on the forum is very very limited, language barrier comes into play - Some parts and information feel poorly translated (from Chinese into English)

### "Multitasking working life"

December 2, 2022

5.0

It really deserves an experience, and I wish them to work on minor updates and modifications to it, so that it becomes the most popular and first application in performing daily tasks

Pros

The ticktick application is one of the best applications for me. I liked it very much because it helped me accomplish tasks for me and arranged for me the things that I should do on this day and what will happen next. It records all my notes very much and saves them for me at a later time. Resorting to the use of the Internet and other indispensable

Cons

Despite its many advantages, it has some very minor defects, including that it may sometimes not adjust my daily needs and work times, and it may also not equate between my free time and work time, as this is a defect in the application.

TickTick is now my task management hub. This complements all the other tools for project tracking work (our organization uses several).

Pros

TickTick matches how I think about tasks; I did not need to learn an approach in order to use nearly every feature immediately. Task management is a personal preference, so other tools may fit other folks better. For me, I have found nothing that fits as well as TickTick.

Cons

As yet, I have found nothing lacking. I found one small (really an annoyance) bug in the email-to-task process, which has been reported.

### "Best Personal To-Do List"

April 14, 2019

5.0

I use TickTick as my personal to-do list, keeping track of everything from when to pay bills to events on my calendar to random chores.

Pros

My favorite feature of TickTick, and the one that makes it stand out, is the way it handles recurring to-dos. I wanted a calendar-based to-do list where I could add monthly items like paying certain bills, recycling pick-up, etc., and TickTick was the only app I could find that allowed that. At least for free. TickTick lets me keep track of everything, big and small, without having to remember to put things on the to-do list over and over again. Plus, you get the satisfaction of actually checking things off as if they were on a paper to-do list.

Cons

There are sometimes minor glitches, such as with dragging the order of items each day. But it's nothing so big that has turned me off from TickTick yet.

### "Awesome App but ... "

June 15, 2020

Best App out there !! Can’t recommend enough

Pros

It’s just the most awesome app ever .. so user friendly and has saved the day throughout lockdown where our staff worked from home .

Cons

How do I know when someone who is collaborating with me has either put a new task or commented on a old task ?? It is very time consuming as I leave loads of comments and new tasks everyday for my PA to action , and she says she does not know which tasks have new comments on or which tasks are new , and needs to go through all the tasks ( which can be a lot , she has over 200 tasks at any time ) in order to work out which tasks are new or have new comments in.. this downside really lets this app down . Besides this point it’s the best App out there and I highly recommend this to anyone out there
