### "The task manager I actually kept using"

May 16, 2026

5.0

TickTick has been the most useful to-do list tool I have tested. I bought annual subscriptions for 10 people on my team.

Pros

Simplicity! I tested several other tools, including Vikunja, Trello, Apple Notes, Google Docs with checkboxes, Notion, Todoist, and Apple Reminders, and TickTick was the easiest one for me to actually keep using. I can keep tasks in separate lists when I want to focus on one area, but I can also bring everything together when I need to prioritize across all areas of work. That's one of the key advantages of TickTick for me. I didn't find another service which makes this as much handy to use.

Cons

I wanted more of was AI functionality to help me move faster with task organization and prioritization. TickTick seems to be adding AI features now, so this may improve over time, so I am still waiting to see how useful those features become.

Alternatives considered

[Todoist](https://www.capterra.com/p/149339/Todoist-for-Business/)[Google Docs](https://www.capterra.com/p/160756/Google-Docs/)

Reason for choosing TickTick

TickTick gave me the best balance of simplicity and structure. It was easier to use consistently than Todoist and more practical for task management than Google Docs.

TickTick was simpler and easier to use daily. I was able to organize tasks without spending too much time maintaining the system.

### "The premium plan is worth using."

November 8, 2024

5.0

I’m using a premium plan, primarily for managing work schedules and personal tasks. Mobile usage is very convenient, especially with automatic date and time recognition, making it easy to add entries without manually setting them. I mainly use the monthly calendar view, which allows me to see all my schedules at a glance—a big advantage. I can easily check off completed tasks with simple finger actions, and the UI is clear and easy to navigate. I also use it on my tablet and PC, and the fast data synchronization is convenient, especially with Google Calendar integration. On mobile and tablet, I use widgets for quick access. I think it shows more schedules when I check a particular day compared to other calendars, so even with a busy day, it doesn’t feel cluttered.

Pros

Easy registration and deletion are very convenient. The automatic date and time recognition feature is especially useful. The mobile widget displays weekly, so I can view my schedule to some extent without opening the app, which is very convenient.

Cons

It's not a major cons, but sometimes it mistakenly recognizes Korean text as a date.

### "TickTick for Basic Task Management"

April 15, 2023

3.0

To keep track of the important tasks needing to be done. Being able to group tasks with tags. Gives a week view for things that need to be done within the next 7 days.

Pros

Easy to enter new tasks, change due date and add tags. It has GTD and Pomodoro Technique capabilities. I wanted to check out the Habit feature.

Cons

The free version has limited features. Calendar View is not available unless you upgrade. I didn't use the GTD and Pomodoro Technique capabilities as they didn't seem useful for what I was trying accomplish on a daily basis.

### "TickTick is my tech sidekick."

May 15, 2023

5.0

TickTick allows me to quickly input notes, tasks, or anything else from wherever I am. There is web functionality along with a full set of desktop and mobile apps. I can then sort through my inbox in TickTick, look at today or this week, filter by tag, add headings to my lists to further separate, etc. I absolutely love it. I never lose track of anything! It has awesome built-in features like a calendar, habit tracker, and Eisenhower matrix for prioritizing. You can also turn a task into a note, add subtasks, pop tasks/notes out into a sticky note...

Pros

One of the best things about TickTick is the versatility. You can keep it SUPER simple, or build out an entire system. You can manage your calendar, habits, tasks, notes, and lists- or just jot down quick to-do's. There are many ways to organize and view tasks, lots of customization options, and a flow that makes sense. There's also a built-in Pomodoro timer, which I love!

Cons

For the most part, I don't think anything is really missing! I'd like to see more appearance customization options within the web app... that's about it.

### "Best productivity & time-blocking software out there"

May 17, 2024

5.0

I've tried them all, and trust me - TickTick is truly the best.

Pros

Calendar view allows me to visualize my tasks in a way I can plan my day - with time blocking and different colors for different tasks. It has a mobile and desktop app, and integrations with other calendars. Looks great and VERY generous free tier.

Cons

Can't think of a single thing to be honest.

Reason for choosing TickTick

TickTick has the most generous free tier and time-blocking options

### "I've been searching for software like this for years"

August 31, 2021

5.0

Amazing. I strongly recomend TickTick for individuals - students or entrepreneurs - who need a simple, but powerful task management software.

Pros

TickTick is simple – not only in the terms of design, but also features, which I consider to be amazing. The problem I have with a lot of task management tools is that for an individual (I don't use TickTick in my team) they just offer too much features, which can be annoying and distracting. Creating tasks in TickTick is fast, and the lists (the same as tags) are transparent – you just can't lose yourself in a ton of assignments. Reminders are also cool, as the sound isn't loud and there are a lot of options which allow customizing them (e.g. set a reminder 1 day ahead, 1h 15 min ahead etc.). Before I used to change the task management software about every 3-6 months. I stick with TickTick for at least 1,5 year and I'm extremely satisfied. The synch with mobile phone is also working well.

Cons

I miss the Kanban board feature for the Today/Tomorrow category.

### "TickTick is GREAT for managing tasks - simple yet robust"

April 18, 2025

5.0

I have used Tick Tick to manage and remind me of personal tasks, SLOW DOWN to sort them by priority, and set up reminders. I also used the habit tracker.

Pros

I have used TickTick mostly for personal and business admin task management on my iPhone and LOVE it. It is clean, easy to use, sets you up with a LOT of different tools to help with decision making (Eisenhower matrix), focus (pomodoro timer and stopwatch), and remembering (scheduling, alarms, etc).

Cons

Picky thing, but I'd have liked the ability to change the ALL the colors. There were a few headings that I was forced to leave in their original, primary colors. And I'm just kind of picky about that. But for the most part, I could alter colors to fit my preferences. :)

it remembers all those pending tasks that have to be done, whether personal or work-related, but it helps to always be up to date with the tasks

Pros

it's a fun way to not forget things to do and to have a reminder organized and you can have the events in groups so that it reminds us all of what we have to do, it's useful to me because I forget many things that I have to do daily and sometimes there are so many that my memory forgets them, instead with TickTick everything is easier for me to remember

### "TickTick Review"

October 29, 2023

5.0

My overall experience with the application surpassed my expectations. My personal favorite task manager.

Pros

There are several features I really like about the application. Unlike other Task Manager applications, TickTick has it all; things I needed, things I didnt know I needed, and things I dont need but at least I have the option. But I would say what I like most, is time tracking tasks and viewing the time spent on different types of tasks.

Cons

While I have setup the application UI the way I like it, without this the UI would have felt really dated. So overall, the UI could use some sort of redesign for users not willing to customize their UI. There are also opportunities for refinements here and there, but overall I have no complains.

### "Packed with useful features and inexpensive compared to others"

July 3, 2023

5.0

Time and time again, I find myself returning to TickTick despite leaving it to see if i can find better options out there. Despite some of the cons I have mentioned, I still think this is the most flexible, feature packed daily task management tool out there for the price! Others with only a fraction of the features want double or even quadruple the cost of TickTick and they're usually not even nearly as well done as this platform is. I just wish it had better API for me to integrate with my other tools.

Pros

\- Filters and tags for great organization of your tasks- Different views (kanban, timeline, list)- Calendar scheduling- Eisenhower matrix to visually prioritize the important tasks- white noise and focus sound options- time tracking that can be used for Pomodoro system- cool widgets for computer desktop including a sticky note feature for notes and a slide out calendar

Cons

\- only very basic and not very useful API triggers and actions which forces me to being able to use only Zapier or IFTTT for automation and integrating with other tools- filtering could use some improvement in how many keywords you can add that fit the criteria for that filter (currently seems to work with only one word)

### "My day to day trustworthy task manager "

January 16, 2018

5.0

Better track of work, personal and home tasks. Freeing up my mind and being able to keep almost every aspect of my day to day life organized.

Pros

I love it's clean interface, it is really easy to see and to use. One of the features I use the most is smart date parsing, it is so easy to add tasks and due dates and repeating options this way, also, paired with Voice input mode, it is really powerful and easy to add tasks on the go. It's recent addition of pomodoro timer to the task is such a cool little feature I'm still getting used to, but it has been really helpful. Calendar integration and views are perfect for a weekly review and to see the big picture and your month/week at a glance. It has been my preferred task manager for quite a while now and will continue to be.

Cons

The only downside I have found is that in its iOS, the reminder notifications can get lost if you don't get to them on the spot, they disappear to the "Today earlier" part of notification center and they don't keep persistent in your first glance of the notifications. Other than that, I believe it is the most functional and powerful multi platform task manager around.

### "Best todo list app with lot of additional functions"

January 20, 2024

It is best value for this price. It has everything you need from todo app, plus you get tons of useful features

Pros

Copying task lists from email is super easy. It separates all lines into separate tasks automatically. Also pomodoro timer is very useful. Of course there is also calendar view

Cons

Some shortcuts are bit difficult to use keyboard location-wise like ~ symbol. Natural language processing is not so good like Todoist, but it's totally enough

### "I've been looking for an app like this all my smartphone-user-life!"

September 5, 2019

5.0

I have a notes/lists app that I'm very happy with (Keep by Google), but its reminders feature is not a good fit for me. So for the last few years I've been plowing through various apps and the only one that worked didn't have the possibility to create account, so I've lost all my data when my phone bricked. This prompted me to start the research again, and I'm so glad that I've found TickTick. I don't think I'll look for another app anytime soon, it ticks all my needs.

Pros

It has a minimalist interface with lots of available features that are there if you need them, but hidden if you don't. Many complex apps have a clogged UI that's not very user-friendly if you only need to use it on "simple mode". It's been a pleasant surprise to discover that beneath TickTick's clean interface are lots of features that create powerful use flows. I highly recommend it! + bonus points for having a web version

Cons

When a reminder happens in a moment when you really can't deal with it, it can be complicated (in terms of mental bandwidth, not technically) to make an update on the spot. If you dismiss it, it can kinda gets lost in the UI.

### "Love using Ticktick"

May 9, 2023

I would be lost without TickTick and it has transformed the way I manage my day and week. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is busy and likes to keep on top of things and not forget about anything important!

Pros

I use Ticktick on a daily basis to manage my personal and business tasks and love the basic simple usability of it with some powerful features included such as repeat tasks and attaching documents and making notes etc.

Cons

2 main issues with Ticktick that prevent it getting 5 stars from me is that it will quite often not put the tasks in order (I think this maybe a cache issue) and sometimes the reminders don't pull through on my phone.

### "This is the best minimalist app to keep a to-do list"

February 15, 2018

5.0

Milimalist user interface Easy way to add notifications by just typing the day and the time, e.g. Thursday 15:00 I get timely notifications on my mobile phone It's really affordable to buy the premium plan. The premium plan gets you a calendar for the web version, which by the way you get access to on your phone even if you're on the free version. Thank you ticktick for that BUT I've repeatedly paid for a premium plan because I think you guys are totally worth it. Again really good minimalist interface and great readability. I like the fact that I look at my tasks and I instantly know what I need to do, with no distractions. I use Asana for bigger projects and it can get confusing. With ticktick, it's impossible to get confused or miss a task. You can use drag-and-drop in the web app to rearrange tasks I can simply forward an email to the ticktick email address, add day and time in the subject line and be reminded of the task. How cool is that! I've tried nearly all task management apps out of curiosity and because my clients use different apps. Ticktick is the best task management app if you want a simple task list and reminder for what you need to do. No bells and whistles, no big project management features, and thank god for that. A simple to-do list with all of the features you need.

Cons

The app has never failed me although sometimes I feel a bit insecure about getting notified. In the end, I always get the right notifications. Also, when I accidentally complete or dismiss a notification on my Android phone it's difficult to seek and find the task in order to reset it back to "active".

TickTick helped us manage our to-do lists better than before (we were using sticky notes)

Pros

Love the natural language input, helps a lot when inputting lots of tasks fast, and like that i can choose whether things like 'today' in the task name stay there or are removed. Easy to delegate tasks to others and track numbers.

Cons

Would've liked to see more integration with things like email (create task automatically from email), and maybe add more details to tasks (for example when i add task to call someone from my contacts, automatically add their details so when the time comes, i can just click and call, without having to go to my contacts list)

### "Fantastic! I just love it."

April 17, 2018

Clear, simple and perfect task management app. Best solution out there since Wunderlist got its development stopped.

Pros

Simply the best task management app out there IMO! The free version offers almost all you need to deal with your OWN tasks. The clean interface and intuitive use is a gem in this complicated world. It does help me manage all my work and personal tasks on a daily basis. I love it and after trying many many other options I just stuck with TickTick for its beautiful falt design and simplicity of use as well as the clarity of all the reminder/tasks/priority.

Cons

The free version comes with one attachment possible per day which doesn't make any sense IMO. It's also very difficult to work with a team if you keep the free version. Thus consider switching to the full version if you have to work with your work team.

productive! biggest competitor is todoist which has discounted price for students and educators.

Pros

TickTick app is the to-do app with most features of the available to-do apps. Product is easy to use but to use all the features, there is a learning curve, it took me few weeks to grasp most if not all the features. Integration with my workflow was easy as it has a web app, i was not able to download the software on work computer. It also has built in goal tracker, calendar, pomodoro app. setting reminder has alot of options to set recurring reminders.

Cons

TickTick needs monthly or yearly subscription, a learning curve to understand the app well. integrates with google calendar but sync with the calendar takes almost a day to show new tasks.
