Excellent solution for our subcontractor pre-qualification needs, robust yet simple to use

Pros: Common sense, simplicity, benchmarking, and financial approvals based on specific award amount & time frame.
Cons: Missing workflows to automate the review process. The is no help/Q&A section (but the chat feature is excellent).
Overall: Lowers the risk of awarding to unqualified contractors, by making it easy for our project teams to invite subcontractors to prequalify, making is quick and easy for the subcontractors to submit the application with the attachments, and helps our main office review and approve the applications with the help of risk and financial metrics and bench marking.

Intuitive platform providing concise and impactful data.

Pros: Ease of use on the CM side. Data is well laid out, easy to view and to interpret. Platform looks great on an iPad for presentation/review with clients.
Cons: Subcontractor use doesn't seem as intuitive as CM side. No CM override for financial submission. PDF attachments download and open in new window, would be nice if they open in the platform. No excel-type functionality in the financial input (ie add or subtract values in the input 'cells'). I would like to see Vendor Management column sorting (move columns around) and better labels for 'Trade Type' - maybe less reliance on CSI code and more on trade description.
Overall: Clear, dynamic risk evaluations and Subcontractor database that assist our risk management strategies.

All queried information at a glance.

Pros: Ease of use, cloud based, endless space for entering contracting firms, easy search capabilities
Cons: Too easy to duplicate entries, specifically contracting firms. Report results display off of page, needing to scroll to see all information
Nice software

Pros: I would say that the display is the most part of the software that is actually attracting my attention
Cons: The restrictions of functionality is the most thing that i dislike from the software, you have to pay a lot to get them all working
Overall: Not much at this point but looking forward in future
Vendor Response
by TradeTapp on December 21, 2017
Thanks Morris! Just for clarification: TradeTapp is 100% free for subcontractors to respond to General Contractors or Owners who invite them to the platform. We have no paid features for subcontractor accounts. We are glad you enjoyed the experience!
Pros: I liked that all my information was carried over to the next contractor when a new prequalification had to be filled out.
Overall: I am able to reference back for other prequalifications.
