September 6, 2019 5.0 One of my writing connections recommended the program to me and I waited and waited before using it. I knew from her description that I'd want to buy it and I just didn't have the funds. I was right, too. The program is so helpful and so comprehensive that you can't help but love it. I'm so happy it was recommended to me. It was easy to input my document and immediately, the trouble spots started showing up. The suggestions are most often spot-on, but I have the option to ignore if I feel the item is correct. I love it when I nail a document completely, which has happened only once. But wow! It works wonders on your psyche to make you feel like you're on the right track! Pros I love that this program offers a free option, and that the free option shows you how to fix to so many different things in your writing. It's so comprehensive and I can't wait until I can save up the money to buy the program. I recommended it to my girls to help them with school papers because I found it so helpful for my own writing. I write fantasy and being able to add strange new words to the dictionary has been a huge help in identifying whether my new words are spelled consistently throughout the document. Cons I write fantasy novels so my work is very long. My chapters are always longer than 500 words so it's a bit difficult to be certain my chapters are all making sense when using the free option. However, that works well for editing my blog posts. Other than that limit, I haven't come across anything I dislike about the program and since that's the benefit of buying the program...I can't really complain. :) Review Source EJ Enkhbayar J. We recommend it for its variety of document templates. Pros The biggest advantage of pro writing aid is that it is very easily integrated into document creation services, such as those included in the Microsoft office suite. Thanks to this, spreadsheets and other documentation in general can be edited much better. Cons You could say that pro writing aid is still too small a service. This does not have team chat management tools, since it does not have a section oriented towards group collaboration. Likewise, it does not facilitate the sharing of documents with which one works. It is a complete tool every writer need to create perfect pieces of content. One thing I love the most about the tool is its synonyms suggestions. Also, is had different types of modes that you can choose to writing different types of copies. Truly amazing! Cons The tool comes with a lot of functionalities and it can be difficult to use for the beginners. The UI can be simplified. January 29, 2023 5.0 Once you have taken a multi-chapter piece through ProWritingAid you've got the knack for how it works and why. Pros It allows you to check your work with many reports. Each specialized report examines and gives the writer or editor options to improve the piece. Cons Some reports want a very specific outcome. Another thing is the options that make the writing process like a fun, there are some feature needs to be improved in the future (like the plagiarism and the punctuation verifier), but in the overall score is worth the price. The site is not safe. Pros I first enjoyed working with ProWritingAid until all my docs disappeared. Cons Since Friday, September 18.2020, I realized that all my docs were no longer accessible or corrupted. I contacted customer service and received a response after several e-mails and face book messages that this matter is being looked into, today after one week of trying to recover my docs, still no solution. I should mention that the ProWritingAid website went down around the same time. I am writing a book since July which was in completion and cannot access anything. The price point is extremely affordable and well worth it. Pros ProwritingAid is one of the best editing tools I've found to catch missed and incorrect punctuation. From the wrong spaces between ellipses to dropped quotations marks, this is where ProWritingAid excels and sets itself apart from other editing software. Cons ProwritingAid works quickly when editing a short document, but if you want to do a lengthy document (More than several pages) at once, there will be a lag while it works. It's only a minor inconvenience, but unlike some other editing software, you can't start making corrections until it's entirely done the checking. Review Source CC Chaya C. I really recommend it - the free version, not sure i would bother paying... Pros I like the way that pro writing captures all my little mistakes as well as passive writing, over writing and readability as well as grammar. Cons Sometimes it was a little annoying when pro writing tried to over glam my writing with ott verb choices or make my writing easier to read when i'm purposefully trying to be conversational rather than concise. I am overall happy and delighted with the product - although when asked if i want to take my writing to their site, it was overzealous hard to get rid of and sometimes deleted all my writing!
