Pros When I'm in a hurry, it shows me where there are typos. Love it! Cons I like the product, but sometimes it suggests changes when what I have is correct the way it is. Pros This software does an impressive job of catching lazy writing and helps you make sure present your statement as poised and professional. Pros I just began using the software. The grammar suggestions are excellent and I would like that feature enhanced. Besides my position in a theatre company, I worked for 16 years as a university professor. I would have enjoyed using this program for syllabi, creating specific rubrics for class lesson plans, creating presentations on the platform I used to post daily updates for the class, daily class agenda, and communication. Cons I just started the free trial. I can not speak to any deficit of the product. It seems fine so far. Pros ProWritingAid easily helps me make improvements to my writing. I've been using it mostly to help me edit my novels. It allows me to see things that I'd otherwise miss, like sentences that start with the same word multiple times in a row. It's been so helpful that I went out and purchased a lifetime license. Cons The novel I'm writing is written from first person points of view, and some of ProWritingAid's suggestions would make their voices seem a little stiff. It's easy to ignore, however, and just use the suggestions that would make the story better. I'm not using enough unique words. It has also pointed out that I use too many "sticky" words-unnecessary filler. I am learning that sometimes descriptive words are described as "sticky". Pros ProWritingAid points out not only spelling and grammar errors, but style, overuse, and adverb dependence. I am able to check many areas to improve my finished piece. Cons ProWritingAid does not take "voice" into consideration. Sometimes making the changes that ProWritingAid suggests changes the whole piece.
