It has helped me become a better writer, whether posting comments on Facebook, composing an email, or working on a chapter for my novel. Practice has helped me become more articulate by reducing the clutter in my writing. I recommend it to anyone who wishes to express themselves more succinctly. , Cons The trend today is to avoid adverbs. Sometimes, I find this annoying. Hence, I went for the lifelong license. :-) Pros It does what it claims it can do. No false advertising. Cons The interface needs to be cleaner. It's to big and clumsy. The price was also a big factor for switching. ProWritingAid was much cheaper. I'm glad I bought a Lifetime membership. Pros I am grateful for ProWritingAid. I've edited my manuscript, and it seems fine. When I use ProWritingAid, I have made 100 sloppy mistakes. It teaches me to be a better writer. I repeatedly make the same grammatical mistakes, for instance. I can now identify many errors independently. Pros ProWritingAid is teaching me how to write like a professional. I don't remember all the rules from English classes. Is extremely helpful to be informed about grammatical errors on the spot. Cons Now the only time I don't like it is when it isn't functioning properly. That typically only happens in Google docs when there are lots of comments or suggestions. I also like the style guide and that you can choose what kind of writing you are doing so it gets looked at accordingly. Pros It helps you become a better writer. You decide in the end, but it makes you think about possible errors. It helps me correct those before I send my manuscript to a professional editor. That helps me save money. I love it! Also, the critiquing is great. I can do one a day on my plan and I love waiting until I am happy about my work and then enter it for a critique, as this gives my confidence quite a boost as well as point out weak areas, if any :) Cons Let me think... Pros It works with the apps I use for writing and so far all the prompts have been useful so far. It is much more useful than the basic word processor spell and grammar checker. Cons The plug in seems to slow my cloud based tools slightly (there is a very slight but noticeable delay when writing online) but this is not enough to take me out of what I am doing.
