Best VPN I have ever used, its reliable and it works the most out of any VPN I have used. I'm very pleased with it. Pros I love how simple and effective it is as a VPN compared to other VPNs that have more bugs. ExpressVPN has been the easiest VPN to use and also has the best server locations that fit with my browsing needs. Cons I don't like how it sometimes logs me out and I have to log back in, but its honestly not that big of a deal, its just an annoyance sometimes Review Source R Reviewer Assistant Direction Used the software for: 3-5 years ### "Le meilleur des VPN" August 22, 2026 5.0 Pros ExpressVPN est selon moi le meilleur des vpn. Review Source R Reviewer Manager Used the software for: 1-3 years ### "A VPN that works for really any use case" July 13, 2026 5.0 What I use it for is mostly side project work and keeping things a little more private when I am handling dealership business on the go, it has done the job well. It is not the cheapest option out there but it has been dependable, easy to use and it has not caused me any real headaches outside of the price. If you want something simple that just works without a lot of thought this fits the bill. I would just go in knowing you are paying a bit of a premium for that simplicity. As a bonus I noticed if I set my location to a different country and try and watch some of my streaming services it’ll show me new shows or movies I don’t have in the US. Pros I started using ExpressVPN mainly for my side projects since I do a lot of scraping and research work that needed a cleaner way to switch locations without getting blocked. It has been surprisingly reliable for that. Connection speeds are solid enough that I do not notice much of a slowdown even when I am running multiple tabs or tools at once. I also use it on my work laptop when I am dealing with dealership stuff on public wifi, like when I am at an auction lot or a coffee shop finishing up paperwork, since I do not love the idea of financial details or customer info going over an open network. The app itself is simple. You open it, pick a location and you are connected in a few seconds with no weird settings to mess with. It also works across my phone and laptop without me having to buy separate licenses for each device which is nice since I am jumping between personal projects and dealership work all day. Cons The price is honestly the biggest downside. It is one of the more expensive VPNs out there and renewal pricing jumps up quite a bit after the first term, which feels a little sneaky if you are not paying attention. Some websites and services also flag VPN traffic and will throw extra verification steps at you which gets annoying when I am just trying to get something done quickly for the dealership. There have also been a few times where a specific server location was slower than expected, so you sometimes have to bounce between a couple servers before finding one that runs smooth. ExpressVPN is a secure VPN that has excellent connections. It is easy to use ExpressVPN. Cons ExpressVPN has been an impressive and reliable VPN that guarantees accuracy and safety. I do not dislike ExpressVPN at all. However, as I needed more information and features, I found this lacking. Pros They did try to make a very streamlined interface that was fairly easy to navigate. It was a one-click process which makes it easy when you are trying to have a quick set-up. Cons I wish there were more visuals in the interface as I like to see the product working in real time. I would like to see a visual representation of different areas that my VPN is working. Review Source Fergal F. Some great features and great customer service. Pros Fast VPN, easy to use and feature-rich. Excellent quick response from the CS team who are always available via chat. Router firmware is available for open-source routers to put VPN software to increase users & manage multiple devices. Tunnel splitting for different apps to by-pass VPN. Cons The cost is relatively high; only 5 connections per account unless a router is flashed with ExpressVPN firmware (a limited number of routers allow this). Router Firmware lacks some features from the original router which can only be assessed after flashing including some parental controls and control over the wifi antennas and certain gaming features. Tunnel splitting is not available via a router. No setup stress, just install and it runs. Works on TV too, which is nice. Cons Price is high, and no proper free version. Some servers just stop working now and then, you have to keep switching. January 12, 2023 5.0 If you're looking for a VPN with solid security features but don't mind paying a bit more money per month than some other providers charge then ExpressVPN may be worth checking out. Using the VPN made us feel safe, without sacrificing on speed. Pros ExpressVPN is a feature-packed virtual private network that has everything you need. It's packed with advanced security features, fast download speeds and even faster streaming speeds. With ExpressVPN, you can connect up to three devices at one time and take advantage of unlimited bandwidth. Plus, it provides unlimited server switches so you're never stuck using a slow server again. The provider offers terrific apps that are very easy to use yet secure at the same time. The mobile app works with both iOS and Android devices, while the desktop app is compatible with Windows and MacOS computers. You can also install browser extensions on Chrome or Firefox. Finally, if you have a router with OpenVPN support, you can download software for it from ExpressVPN’s website as well.ExpressVPN is also one of the few VPNs that can unblock Netflix's U.S. library, as well as Disney+, HBO Max, and other major streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and more. This makes ExpressVPN a good choice if you're looking for an affordable VPN that can help you stream your favorite shows from anywhere in the world. In short, the pros: Pros-User-friendly apps-Great for streaming-Secure, no logs-24/7 live chat support-Works with Netflix and other streaming services Cons Speed is not the fastest: but as any VPN provider, it depends on what country you connect too.Price is a higher than average Review Source JAZE P. Systems Administrator Used the software for: Less than 1 year ### "Protect What You Receive & Send With ExpressVPN" September 5, 2021 5.0 I found ExpressVPN to be a great way to protect my online identity. I am also able to access any website now which was problematic before because of geological cutoffs/restrictions. The most important factor to note though would be that I also never suffer from bandwidth-throttling anymore, all of this happened when I started using ExpressVPN, it is a must-have. Pros ExpressVPN works the fastest and is by far the safest way to surf anonymously online. They have worldwide, extensive coverage that consists of over 3000 servers based in 90 locations so connectivity speed is never an issue. Their service also comes with top-notch encryption for enhanced security and they are as trustworthy as they come. Cons The price is steeper than I thought. It did take a while to adjust to my system at first, like my Gmail account would not open up because it was reading a different location from what it was used to so it just straight-up denied me access altogether. I figured out a way around that dilemma but other than that, it is a great tool. Review Source Haseeb A. CEO Used the software for: 1-3 years ### "A great VPN but if you use multiple browsers, that could be a hassle" December 21, 2021 4.0 The overall experience has been very good. Though cost wise there may be cheaper options Pros Most of the servers we found are very fast and the connection is good. It even has a safety feature that prevents connections if the VPN is down (it can be turned off), which is excellent. Many locations can also work on Netflix Cons You need to install a windows version. You can't JUST install the browser extension. So if you are like us and use multiple browsers with different locations, that can be done but is a bit of a hassle. Would have preferred if we could just use the extensions. Express VPN is the most trustworthy, secure and easy to use software on the market. Works perfectly and always protect your privacy when you get offline. Pros Express VPN is the best VPN I have used, and I have used it a lot because I live in Cuba. With only one account you can connect up to three devices simultaneously and that's great. It worths every single penny you have to pay for it. Cons A lot of updates are needed from time to time. Too frequently I guess. Apart from that, it's great software. Pros ExpressVPN is a VPN provider and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to surf the internet safely. Cons Everything I like about ExpressVPN is easy to use and secure. Review Source R Reviewer manager Used the software for: 3-5 years ### "express vpn review " November 11, 2022 5.0 Express VPN is a virtual private network service that connects you to the internet. Express VPN allows you to unblock websites or apps on your computer, smartphone, or tablet by encrypting your internet connection and making it appear as if you are in a different country. Express VPN protects your privacy and security on the internet by hiding your IP address, encrypting your data, and providing you with a new IP address. Pros Express VPN is a great way to avoid high costs for international traveling. This is because it allows you to have a home network in another country and still be able to access the internet from your home country. This is a great way to avoid high costs for international traveling. The VPN also allows you to avoid censorship on the internet as well. Cons One disadvantage of express vpn is that it can be quite difficult to set up. There are many tutorials online and on YouTube but if you don't have much experience with VPNs then it can take a long time to figure out what to do. Another disadvantage of express vpn is that it only allows one device to be connected at a time. So if you want to connect multiple devices then you need to have multiple accounts. Nowadays I constantly paid for the whole year's service. It is not a bad idea, you know why? Because ExpressVPN gives you the best discount for a full year service. In my own opinion, it is a big bargain for all of us, yearly users who look for great service. In my opinion, ExpressVPN is the best desition made in the past three years. Thank you, guys. Pros My Professional life can be described as a) Before ExpressVPN and b) After ExpressVPN...I have never been so disconnected from the World during my Asian Trips. Thank God I finally made the desition to engage my gadgets with ExpressVPN. Since that moment of enlightenment, I am a different and empowered professional. Security and Access are key when you are on the road and you need to access all your data from overseas... Cons At first, I have no idea how a VPN works. It seems a lot of confusion and super geeks work. But I studied ExpressVPN website and Social Media and finally, I got engaged. What I don't really like is the top have security breaches in my types of equipment. Nobody wants to pass through such a nightmare. That is the least I want to experience again. This tool makes things much simpler by granting me access to blocked websites and ensuring I can always do my task in complete privacy. Pros The speed is the significant factor. This doesn't slow me down as my previous VPN products did. The best part is that it has a tremendous number of servers spread across many different locations, guaranteeing that I can operate independently. Cons The cost was the only issue I had. A bit lower would make it much more appealing. Review Source WS William S. Content Writer and Web Designer Used the software for: Less than 1 year ### "Offers many server options and does not reduce the website loading speed" October 15, 2023 5.0 ExpressVPN has a simple, intuitive platform that is easy to navigate and change IP location. It allows us to access many websites without geo-location restrictions or exposing our data. Unlike some competitors I have used, ExpressVPN supports high website loading speed and does not lag. It cuts connections when the server has an issue so you cannot expose your actual location to the site or app you are using. I feel that everything about ExpressVPN is fair and positive but the price is not (at least for small companies). Pros I like ExpressVPN because I can use it to stream content, download large files, or access various sites without experiencing buffering or lag. Other similar tools I used before could not match the speed and I had to keep changing the access server to try and improve the loading speed. It provides more than 150 real, working locations to choose from. They also claim that they don't access or keep personal data guaranteeing privacy and security. Cons I feel that ExpressVPN is expensive and small companies might avoid it for that reason. Some servers are not always available but there is always alternatives to choose from. I cannot find any other negative aspect of ExpressVPN. Review Source R Reviewer Founder / Designer Used the software for: 3-5 years ### "VPN worked in China" March 24, 2022 5.0 Great VPN with a simple to use interface and a robust server fund to connect to. You might need to fiddle with cookies settings or use different browsers sometimes if you want to overcome some blocking but It works fine at the end of the day. Pros The simplicity of the interface and setting it up on my phone and computer was amazing. No matter if Mac or Windows or Android phone. This worked very well. Even while traveling to China (being famous for blocking pretty much everything from the free internet) I managed to get a decent connection speed to use make video calls and use services, which would have been normally blocked. Using it in Europe - some countries tend to block some sites and pages - so this makes them accessible with a breeze. Cons The subscription is not simple to cancel. You really need to concentrate on the website and where to click. Sometimes connecting ot really far locations like Bangladesh was so slow that it rendered the connection unusable. Review Source Eugenio V. Owner Used the software for: Less than 1 year ### "Review for ExpressVPN" July 10, 2023 4.0 a great alternative for online professionals if you require a powerful VPN Pros there really isn't anything I didn't like, excellent VPN technology and features, a reasonable price and ease of use (great variety of servers in the world) Cons the only point of improvement I see is the user interface; it could be even better (but it is very functional) Review Source Kasey B. Adjunct Professor of Political Science Used the software for: 1-3 years ### "I literally use this software everyday" May 2, 2018 5.0 I've tried almost every single VPN, and these are the best I've ever used. Stick with Express, don't waste your time on any other VPN that could expose your data. Pros I 100% cannot recommend this software more. I use it daily, it protects my network for anything I'm trying to do. Super easy to setup, doesn't straddle bandwidth, they delete all the meta data, and I've never once gotten any privacy notice while using this software . It's also one of the cheapest companies out there for what you get, pretty much just hit the On/off button and it does the rest. Never needed to contact support, but they were quick in helping me when I needed assistance. Cons It doesn't get through some of the video networks like Hulu or netflix if you are trying to access content from outside the country or to access content from other counties. I've literally don't know any software gets around that though. Review Source R Reviewer Freelancer Used the software for: 1-3 years ### "ExpressVPN Review" July 27, 2021 5.0 Personally, ExpressVPN is the most accessible and convenient VPN that I used. It gave me opportunities to be able to watch television shows that are not in my country's vicinity. Also, I was able to download applications from different locations that were useful for school. It may be expensive, but you really get what you pay for. As of now, there are no problems encountered upon using this software. Pros ExpressVPN creates opportunities for individuals to access applications from one location to the other. Consequently, it assures you that your network is private and safe as soon as it is turned on. It is much more cheaper and secure than other plans that involve security. By using this, it unblocks other contents that cannot be accessed within the country. It is a convenient software that is reliable and easy to use. ExpressVPN creates opportunities for flexibility and accessibility. Therefore, it is trustworthy, preforms its services well, and it still lives up to its reputatio up until now. Cons ExpressVPN's services are not cheap and is costly among other VPN's out there. Also, the software only contains a few access to settings, configurations and options. It also has limited approach for customer service as ExpressVPN only receives complaints or inquiries through email or chat. Review Source Khan Abrar A. August 19, 2021 4.0 Overall I will recommend this VPN to anyone who is looking for a secure and fast connection for their personal and professional use. The VPN doesn't save any logs and gives complete privacy. Pros The installation process is very simple and the interface is very smooth. We get a very good speed with this VPN. There are many servers we can choose to mask the IP and it unblocks almost all content or websites easily across any country. The advanced security is good and the customer support is very active and helpful. Cons The application is too expensive even when compared with other competitors. There will be forced disconnections and sudden speed drops too often which is a major drawback as it results in download/upload failures. The overall speed is good but can be improved when compared with other paid VPN out there. I have a lot of servers to choose from and can connect to certain country limited services even if i am abroad. Pros I always use a secure connection when going online. There are too many threads lately in cyber world and using ExpressVPN keep me secure (a lot of people i know where victims). A great thing at this VPN that is available on all platforms and can use it on all devices, even smart TVs. Cons Is not the cheapest VPN on the market but worth it. I have no major issues and the customer service is amazing on answering any questions I may have. Pros Express VPN is the most secure and reliable VPN. I really like if the how I can use it anywhere and on all of my devices. It's also really simple to setup and get connected. I really like how if the VPN drops the you are immediately notified.
