We were looking for a VPN that reliably unblocked content from US Netflix and BBC iPlayer. The HMA app is easy-to-use and has all the features we need to protect your privacy while browsing online. However, as we wanted more advanced features or support for other platforms we considered another provider. Pros Works with US Netflix and BBC i-Player. HMA is one of the few VPNs that allows you to stream American Netflix from anywhere in the world, as well as BBC iPlayer from wherever you are located.Has the largest number of VPN server locations. With over 700 servers in over 70 countries, HMA has more options than any other VPN provider when choosing a server location for your connection. This means fewer dropped connections and faster performance when downloading files or streaming media content like movies and TV shows online.Very fast download speeds. When using an HMA server, I was able to get download speed averages between 20 Mbps (megabits per second) and 50 Mbps on my home connection while connected through a UK-based server location. HMA offers a variety of easy-to-use and well-designed apps for different platforms. These include macOS, Windows, Linux, Android and iOS devices. Cons 1\. Cons Sometimes it connects to the location you want through a server somewhere else, and it can cause problems with the location tracking of some sites. Pros I initially went with HMA because I was looking for a VPN with a huge number of servers in several countries. The product checked this box easily. Apart from this, the setup is quite simple. Cons On one or two occasions, I noticed that some server locations as shown in the software were actually different from what IP checkers reported. Some of the IP addresses are also blacklisted, but this is a general problem with most VPNs. Switched from [OpenVPN Access Server](https://www.capterra.com/p/159435/access-server/) Although OpenVPN is free, you still have the responsibility of finding your own servers.
