Pros It is quite easy and fast, offer several options to protect your documents, such as the possibility of adding watermark, can significantly compress the size of the document, PDF files can be viewed on any device, regardless of hardware, software or operating system used to create and visualize them. Cons For me its only disadvantage is that PDF is not an editable format document, even when it reproduces exactly what we can see in a Microsoft Word document, for example. You can easily convert different formats to PDF, also protect them with a password. Cons The free version of PDFCreator has advertisements, it does not support PDF compression and file encryption. Pros I can't say I'm a power user of PDFCreator, but I was able to show a few people who have less than stellar technical skills how to use its basic features without too much trouble. This alone is a pretty convincing case for giving it a try. There may be some that are more intuitive, but the folks I taught how to use it, as I said, are not tech savvy (and I don't consider myself an extraordinary teacher). Since more and more paperwork is now in PDF form, this is pretty useful. Some of the other reviewers have commented on the advanced features...having worked with more than one publishing program, I can say with a degree of confidence that advanced features in formatting usually require a little time and effort to learn, so it's not fair to hold it against PDF creator. Cons If you're trying to publish something from files with different formats, look elsewhere. This software is NOT for serious publishers, it's for people who need a way to create or modify PDFs. No, it will not let you to make sweeping changes to a PDF in the way you edit a Powerpoint presentation. That's just not the name of the game. So, it may take a little time and patience.
