Pros: adobe acrobat reader, just like acrobat itself, is perhaps the most reliable PDF reader. A plethora of readers are available these days and each has it's own advantagees and disadvantages as i am huge reader and always try alternatives, but with my vast experince, i tel one thing for sure, if you want to choose a reader that works smooth, fast and almost never crashes, and if you don't want want to encounter anything messy, then choose acrobat reader. you can compare it's neateness against others just like iOS was neat in comparision to older android versions. You can try opening a large book with for example foxit PDF and then the same with adobe reader, try this again and again, every time adobe reader wins. the colour accuracy is definitely appreciable too. unlike most other readers, which will open books for you and as these load, the book may seem horrible, not because the book is horrible, but the reader's rendering engine is problematic. Never faced this while using acrobat reader. and the global availability of this software makes it a definite "one and only"

Cons: the features of this reader are too few compared to some other readers for example foxit PDF.

for example, on the iOS version of Adobe reader, it lacks :

X text-reflow

X crop-mode

X text-to-speech

etc

it also displays files in an odd way if the document has non-standard width-to-length ratio. it does not correct this to fill up the screen so the document looks weird. on PC version, zoom feature will make up for this though.

finally, lack of third paty cloud support is sad.

for the paid version ,you have to pay more compared to the most famous rival ie foxit phantomPDF

Overall: the most neat and clean PDF reader that need some more features

Pros: This software makes viewing and editing PDF's a breeze if you need to send this to a client/boss for review and/or editing. This is a great tool for any non-designers unfamiliar with InDesign or whatever program you are using to create PDF's, as it allows for text edits and comments made by the viewer. Many times I would finish a project and send it to a boss who would work on final text edits just by simply using the Edit PDF Feature. The ability to change every element from a PDF to me is remarkable. If you need to make simple PDF's and don't have the time/need/want to learn any other program, Adobe Acrobat Reader is for you.

I've also used this program to make an editable PDF (Prepare Form), and while the auto fill isn't perfect, it gets pretty close and saves you valuable time. I normally skip any other programs, and go straight to this one to make an editable form.

Another one of my favorite features is the ease of printing straight from Adobe Acrobat Reader, as it has much better features in my opinion than InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Etc. It gives you the option to print multiple pages on one sheet-- something that has been unmeasurably helpful.

Cons: Using the free version compared to the Pro version is so vastly different and could be discouraging to potential customers.

If you are editing a PDF and don't have the correct fonts installed, it can get pretty frustrating rather quickly. Although, I don't believe that's any fault of the program, and it is able to recognize the font you are missing so that helps tremendously.

One of the hidden jems about this program is that it has an export PDF and convert it to almost any program you need including Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. However, unless your document is more simplistic, it will have trouble perfectly exporting for you, but I still think it's a great feature.

Overall: This program has made it easier to communicate to the clients and help them send back clear constructive feedback, which is key in any business.

Pros: Acrobat Reader has always been a software that has aroused mixed feelings among users: performance, usabilitity and capabilities. Adobe knows this and, although not in a hurry, has been implementing improvements.

In the case of Reader DC, definitely, the main improvement has been the user interface, where a nice dark gray predominates that does not strain your eyes and allows you to focus your attention on the document (at least in the latest version for Windows 7).

The overall performance of the application has also improved (loading speed and opening documents), at least in the most common and simple tasks. However, it should not surprise anyone that in handling large documents or more complex tasks, this is not noticeable.

Total integration with the Adobe Cloud system, which will allow you to have your files wherever you are and to share them with third parties.

Despite the great improvements that other similar programs have had, if security and maximum compatibility with the PDF format are important to you, Reader DC should be your first choice. The handling of digital signatures is simple and robust and workflow of documents is almost a

standard already.

Cons: You can not edit documents in the free version.

Although the cost of subscriptions has become more accessible, the advanced options are still paid (it should not surprise anyone), but each day that passes is worth paying for them.

While it is true that they have advanced with the user interface, it seems that with the usability of it not so much. Many tasks are carried out in an unintuitive way, and with the inclusion of new functionalities this problem tends to grow.

Overall: A considerable saving of money, for a limited budget.

Do not worry about operating systems and compatibility.

Files are distributed and shared easily and quickly.

In the future, adopting a more complete workflow based on PDF will be easier and more convenient.

Pros:

The most interesting of this version are the new properties that range from its innovative presentation and appearance, to the possibility of creating notes and underlining ideas that highlight comments we make to the text we are reading, the Acrobat Reader DC program also allows you to incorporate our electronic signature documents or your initials and send the form electronically tool that persnalizes and improves the development and intellectual property also uses intelligent auto-filling that allows to simplify and increase the speed of the work that is done. Finally it is highlighted that by working with this program you can facilitate the storage of documents on the Adobe Document Cloud, Box, Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive platforms, thus increasing the possibility of safeguarding and sharing our work, it should be noted that this version passes Directly from PDF to Word files directly something that is very positive.

Cons: The installation of the program usually takes too long and the file in my opinion could be less heavy, also to work optimally must be the PC or mobile phone connected to the Internet and the latest version of the program must be updated , on the other hand, the options assistant can be optimized to provide the user with greater resources when producing or editing a document from the PC, other difficulties of the program can be found in the MENU when we go to our PRFERENCES, there to be able to optimize the program and improve the work experience requires a certain level of office management, being to my trial a complicated situation to handle between the user with little experience in handling PDF and the facilities presented by the Acrobat Reader file DC in this new presentation.

Overall: This tool has been successful in my professional life, since most of the interaction with documents for the generation and presentation of reports uses an Adobe Acrobat DC as main means, the inclusion of these new features allows to facilitate the review and highlight the most important ideas. important or the most common mistakes in a job, as well as the ability to customize a job in such a way as to prevent the plagiarism of the document.

Pros: Due to the degree of confidentiality of the information I handle at the institutional level, I require a versatile tool, Acrobat Reader DC, this very clean, simple, minimized version, gives me everything I need to access PDF documents in a quick and easy way. well organized, the technical staff of Adobe has reimbentado the tool, making some major changes to the organization of how to access the documents, has on your left when you open the tool a quick access to the most recent documents, showing if this Locally or in the cloud, we can also access documents locally or in the cloud for those more active documents.

Acrobat Reader DC has an endless number of tools, which have been organized in large icons of colors on the right side, we simply click on it and we can access the different options of this tool classification.

A security niel is very robust. I would recommend 100%

Cons: This great tool has few disadvantages, despite having well-organized tools, the user with little experience can be a little difficult to know that when opening a document is activated the option of tools at the top, and the click there you will see the large amount of available tools, which are very useful to edit a document or to add some text, as well as protect it.

It also has a mini floating toolbar in the lower part, which can disappear if we want it to be anchored in the upper part, it can be uncomfortable for some users to use this floating bar, as well as to deactivate the bar, but it depends on each user and his experience.

Pros: First off, i like being able to download the product from the manufacturer/developers site directly. This way you feel safe that you are getting the right safe product.

Secondly, it just works!!! No funny settings or anything to worry about.

Third, the size of the software is small and quick. Click, click and it is in place.

Lastly and not to be overlooked is that it is FREE! That's pretty important.

If you are making use of PDFs and just want them to open and be readable then this is what you need. (note: you can also get fancy PDF versions from Adobe that do all kinds of extra things). Even with this version you can add notes and things to the PDF and share it with others.

It even works on tablets and phones so that's convenient to have cross platform access all on the same program.

Cons: I rated customer support as 4 stars (which may be a bit silly since i have never really run into a snag with the program) but i can't rate it 100% without having tried or needed it.

There are more fancy versions of the software which you can pay for but i must admit i have not really even needed them (yet). At least they are not pushy about advertising their paid versions all the time.

Overall: It allows me to read PDFs quickly and without fuss. Easy and simple (i like simple).

We use it daily to read invoices and final artwork submitted to us.

By having the artwork PDF'd and opening it with the same software developers product that we are all seeing the same thing. That's good for everyone as otherwise we could have big disputes resulting in fights over printed or web published artwork from advertisers that's not right and the subsequent fights over money.

Pros: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC offers document management with various tools and options. With options to comment on documents, electronically sign a document, or organize pages, document management is made simple with a downloadable software application. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a windows application that allows users to add text to PDF file type documents. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a great tool to collaborate with colleagues creating manuals, booklets, or pamphlets. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC gives users the ability to add hyperlinks to documents and add various special characters to authorize documents for human resources personnel.

Cons: Limited options may vary depending on the type of subscription of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC registered user. Limited organizational tools are available depending on the subscription type of the end user. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC connects other accounts to access files. Combine files is not available with the basic account type. The action wizard nor send for comments is available with a standard subscription, which limits the options for editing documentation.

Overall: The benefits of utilizing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application include being able to operate across hardware such as Windows 10 or Mac Sierra. Other benefits include interfacing of other software applications such as Microsoft One Drive or DropBox. Additional benefits include being able to utilize Adobe Acrobat Reader DC conveniently with the Adobe Scan mobile application uploading files as well as transferring to electronic files. Moreover, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC benefits consist of creating standard PDF files. Overall, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a great tool that assist with the collaboration of data amongst colleagues.

Pros: Acrobat Reader DC is a standard for sharing Documents with people all over the world. It is a free software everybody can download in the Internet to open PDF-Documents. It is the original and still for me the easiest way to share informations, contracts, illustrations, etc. with my team, with prospects and friends. It is easy to add comments and ideas in this documents and share it with people involved without any problems with program incompability. I love the Acrobat Reader App for my Mobile Phone and the possibility to scan documents and convert to PDF-Files with Adobe Scan.

Cons: It is very hard to find something that I do not like about this software. Especially with the possibility to get the Adobe Acrobat, with which you can create and edit PDF-Documents, for professional use with an Abo-Model, which makes it affordable not only for companies, but for individuals, where you can cancel the subscription monthly. What I wonder is why Adobe still do not have his own software like MS Word, Google Docs, etc.. I have still issues with creating writable formulars, because converting from MS Word to PDF is not hundred percent working. Anyway this critic is about Adobe Acrobat. The Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is amazing.

Overall: I work with an international team, sharing documents over the Internet on a daily basis, therefore Acrobat Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat is a MUST for us. It is an easy to use tool everybody can understand and work with immediatley. I am also wroking with Adobe Acrobat for creating and editing documents, formulars, etc.

Pros: Ease of use is a major factor for me and my staff. From the time the user clicks on the icon to the pulling up and management of images it is virtually a seamless and effortless task. Seldom is a software product this easy and reliable to use. In my work environment is has been and I expect it to be the industry standard as the level of user productivity achieved by the user raises the bar so high. I use it for may applications from document storage to transmission. I have never had a problem storing a quality image or with a recipient receiving a first rate image and being able to open and store or transfer it with ease.

Cons: It is difficult to find fault with this product. The only shortcoming, which may not be associated with the program itself is that certain traditional photocopy images may appear unduly dark in acrobat format necessitating a lighter than normal copy be made from a traditional photocopier, but this is only an incidental issue as overall quality and clarity of the images is exceptional and consistent.

Overall: We use this in a government setting in which transmission of both large and small volume documents of clarity and consistency are essential. It is a testament to the reliability of the product that over the course of several years since implementation of this product we have not had a single situation in which customer service was required to be contacted. I would recommend this product to any office which requires consistency and near perfect high definition images for storage and transmission.

Pros: The price is free and it's made by the people who invented PDF, so compatibility is never an issue. If you have an errant PDF with problems, Acrobat Reader is your best bet at getting it open. I like that I can digitally sign PDFs with Acrobat Reader without the need to buy the full Acrobat software. Little things like that are expected features of software like this that make using it easier.

Cons: Historically, Acrobat Reader has been slow to open. Although that issue is mostly fixed, there are still many times when Acrobat Reader doesn't open quickly. Honestly, I expect a PDF reader to open almost instantly, especially with a fast PC and an SSD. It's just not acceptable to me to know have a small program like this open quickly.

Acrobat Reader likes to be the default app that opens PDFs on the web. That is great, but the tools for zooming, panning, printing, saving, etc, are not automatically visible. You have to click on the PDF to get the toolbar to pop down from the top. It's not intuitive at all.

I really hate that you can't change the default view of the right pane when you open Acrobat. It's always open and you have to manually shut it EVERY TIME! Totally annoying and unnecessary. The Tools tab, where you can find things like Comments, Fill & Sign, React, Certificates, etc, is mostly easy to find, but not the easiest thing to use. I wish those items were available in the right pane instead of the crap that's there now.

Pros: Adobe reader, is a powerful PDF software that allows you to view and print PDF documents, another advantage is that Adobe Reader is free of charge, its size is small and it is convenient and easy to download, it can be downloaded from the page from the manufacturer what gives you greater security and confidence. It allows you to make notes in PDF documents, you can download them in portable devices so you can work your documents from anywhere, it allows you to convert files in Excel, PowerPoint, Word in PDF formats and thus protect your files, another important function is to add digital signatures, which saves you time when issuing documents that require signatures. You can expand the functions of Adobe Reader for free with Acrobat ADK

Cons: Negative points, It does not allow to combine files in the basic package. It can be somewhat cumbersome to use for new users. Some basic functions are not available in the free version, but in general terms are more advantages offered by this software, a very useful tool to use in the office allows you to send files without losing their initial format, common problem that happens when you open files in other terminals, common example is when you have a file in a certain program and move it to another terminal or PC with a portable device you can be at risk of losing the format (margins, tables, page numbers) so save them in PDF you avoid this problem.

Overall: In my company we use this program a lot to protect the formats of our files, a lot of information is sent by mail, so it is an excellent option to send information without it being able to suffer some type of distortion (moving images, changing margins, if Excel documents allow a better presentation). When we issue a budget calculated with Excel we always issue the file in PDF and for that we use Adobe Reader

Pros: While most people continue to use their browser to read and print PDFs, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC takes it to the next level.

The primary advantage to using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is its ability to edit PDF documents. You can change words, fonts, size, and even highlighting like a normal word processor would. To some degree, you have even more control with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as you can control horizontal scaling and character spacing which is much harder to do on most word processors.

Furthermore, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC provides ways to export your PDF into other formats, Comment on PDFs, Organize them via splitting or combining different pages together, and even a form option along with a fill & sign. The extra features greatly enhance the usefulness of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Cons: There is not a whole lot to complain about as far as PDF readers go. Sometimes, when splitting documents, it would be nice to name documents based on a field found on each page rather than a name with a prefix.

Furthermore, beginners may have a hard time finding the different tools. An option in the top left corner right next to the home button labeled "Tools" gives you all the different options to edit your PDF. Often, beginners struggle to find it as it is not an option in your normal toolbar.

As I have the paid version, I have not had to deal with the different limitations that I would run into without the subscription, but the fact that there is a cost is a disadvantage unto itself.

Overall: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a cross-platform PDF reader that goes beyond just a reader and allows you to make essential edits, combine PDFs, split pages, and create PDF forms -- all options that are severely lacking in other PDF readers. This is an extremely useful tool that is necessary for anyone who uses PDFs extensively.

Pros: I do appreciate that we have a widely-used way to view uneditable documents, and PDFs render like an image, so your formatting doesn't change (like it does with Word docs, etc., depending on the device you're viewing/editing them on).

I also appreciate the form features, so clients can fill out certain fields created in the document and enter a signature. It's also super helpful for showing layering and bleeds for marketing materials and business cards.

Some of the more advanced, premium features are nice too, though you've got to have a big bank account if you want to use them (more about that in Cons).

Cons: There's very little you can do without paying for it. Sometimes I want to combine documents, particularly when I scan them to my computer and the printer every now and then doesn't want to send a huge file, so I have to split it up into 2 scans. If it's for my business, it's just slightly embarrassing and unprofessional to have to send a single document in 2 parts. Spending money just for Adobe Pro seems a little crazy to me. I don't use it for signing/sending often, so I can't justify the ongoing cost. It would be different if I could just purchase the software, but Adobe has gone to subscriptions now, which just don't work for me.

Overall: It is handy to view PDFs I download from other sources, but it's just a viewer unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount of money.

Pros: Very versatile and has a ton of features that make reading easier such as zoom and text settings. The UI is a simplistic and intuitive which makes working with the software quite useful as I am typically using multiple programs in additon to the reader program and need it to be easy to use.

I feel like it is an easy program to get into and hard to master, there are many useful features that will only come with experience using the program, but as a beginner you can do most anything you can think of.

Cons: I like to set a black background with neon green for reading text and I wish they had a feature where if the item on the text was a picture, dataset, or something similar that the color change would not affect the appearance either of those, just the text.

Overall: An easy to use and versatile eReader that made it easy for me to read my textbooks across many different platforms including desktop, laptop, phone, and tablet.

I also like the ability to be able to highlight text and change the color theme, it made reading for an extended period much easier for myself, and my eyes felt much less trained overall thanks to this feature.

I found reading pdfs and ebooks to be tedious and ineffective compared to a physical text, but after experiencing a solid reader like this has changed my preference. I now prefer ebooks over physical texts, and feel like I take more effective notes as a student!

Pros: Acrobat Reader DC is a great reader and editor for all types of documents. I've been using this for years for education and work-related business with little issue. Updates are quite frequent, and it has enough features to let me do what I need to within a short period.

Cons: The cons are quite extensive. First of all, the free and premium versions are very different, and the pro version is somewhat expensive as well. For reading, there are free solutions that are better, so it loses in that category. The software sometimes runs very poorly as well. Most of the features are quite limited, and the tools and options are extremely restricted. Unintuitive UI with little to help the user. Not user-friendly in the slightest & takes an additional couple steps to get things done which makes it difficult to edit documents in a short period. Common tools are not stored in memory, and its also hard to make favorite shortcuts for easy use. I don't think it's possible to do at all. Lots of polishing to do, even with the premium version.

Overall: With the free version, you get a good reader (albeit slow and laggy at times, even with the premium version). For editing documentation, AR is quite hard to beat. It has a long way to go before it can be the best out there but for now it still is a viable option if you can deal with its unintuitive drawbacks.

Pros: As I mentioned earlier this software has been one of the responsible for my training, mainly academic and second job, since Adobe Acrobat Reader has been my permanent source of knowledge. With a wide variety of bibliographic content that has been transparent to this program, I have had an immense range of books that have been necessary for my academic training, but also, in my work, it has allowed me to obtain material for the development of new group activities, management of elements logistics, and new group dynamics that have not only enhanced my professional career, but also that of the Foundation where I work.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is one of those software that thanks to its efficient management of intellectual and academic resources in PDF, have revolutionized the market, becoming essential and very useful.

Cons: Sometimes I have encountered the problem that when editing certain PDF texts, I can not do it directly from the software but I have to find other software on the internet to do it, however, after having managed to do this, everything went much easier for me.

Overall: A software of much catergoria that leads all the others in its field. It is essential to have this software in the software directory to use in your company. I recommend it

This is an excellent PDF reader and I have had mostly a positive experience with it.

Pros: What I like most about this software includes the ability of this software to have different scrolling, zooming, and selection options. I use pdf documents that are technical engineering drawings and prints which contain a lot of different types of data all blended together including the drawn figures, comments, dimensions, and textual notes. Having the ability to select the text or pan and zoom into different features of drawn figures all within the same document smoothly with ease are very large plus points for me as a daily user of this product.

Cons: This product is overall excellent, and I am knit-picking to point out something I dislike. However, if I did have to say there was something that I did not like about the software is that sometimes with larger file sizes there is a bit of a lag with loading the document in the viewer window. Most basic pdf open quickly with this software, but sometimes pdf with complex images or many many pages (over say one hundred) have a bit of a lag associated with them that I feel could be handled a bit faster. Other pdf readers I have used in the past are able to handle these file sizes flawlessly, so my expectations for Adobe are thus higher.

Pros: I use this program a lot in my work from two points of view: the author and the one who edits. When I write my reports it is obligatory to keep it in PDF so that mijefe can review it and make the pertinent comments and corrections. So it allows me to do a how to control changes. It is also a great viewer of files of this type, I do not feel comfortable using any other.

As the one that edits allows me that same, to be able to make comments and corrections. Now, in my work I have the possibility to use the paid version and I recommend them a lot. While there are functions like converting pdf to other files, or merging several files into one and suddenly you think good there are online programs that do this, although it is true it is more comfortable as well. I can even make hyperlinks in the file and many other things that I thought could not be done.

Cons: I think the updates can be intimidating, but it's a highly intuitive and easy-to-use program. The improvements that include in the updates seem useful to me and do not cease to amaze me. I think maybe they could do better advertising of all the tools they have, many things I had to discover for myself.

Pros: "Overall Quality" is great. A simple tool for personal and commercial/business use. I use it everyday and it never let me down. Acrobat Reader can handle large PDF files and I have never had performance issues.

"Ease of Use" is the category where Acrobat Reader shines. Acrobat Reader is very easy to handle. A user-friendly design which has a simple toolbar with the main save and navigation button/features. You can hide the unnecessary panes for more reading space.

The tools tab is awesome. You can navigate in the different tools, quickly select them and get details how to use them.

"Features & Functionality" are really good. I love that you can create editable PDF form. My customers can easily complete and sign such forms, without printing. There is build in PDF-DOCX converter that comes very useful. I love the Stamp and Sign tools.

"Value for Money" - Some of the features should come for free, however I think that it's a good value for your money.

Cons: Some of the basic features are not available in the free version.

You can't pay at once and get lifetime license as only montly subscription/license is available.

Adobe reader is the only PDF reader I will ever use for reading scientific papers.

Pros: I am a neuroscience graduate student so I have to read and keep track of a ton of scientific articles, and most of these articles are best read in PDF format. Adobe reader DC allows me to organize and annotate (highlight and take notes) the papers to my liking which makes it easier to come back to the main points later. I also love that I can take 'snapshots' of anything on any of the pages and just copy and paste it right into a power point presentation. Another fantastic feature that many scientific journals use is links to references, either at the end of the document or even sometimes the online hyperlink. This way you can go down any scientific wormhole you want with ease.

Cons: The only thing I don't like about this software (beggars can't be choosers I guess) is that the PDF to Microsoft Word document converter (and vice versa) is not free. There are plenty of free ways to go about doing this on the internet and the technology seems easy enough. It is just slightly inconvenient is all.

Overall: Saved me so much time making presentations for countless classes and journal club presentations. Also saved me a lot of organizational time when writing my Master's thesis.

Pros: Adobe Readers is one of the best PDF readers out there that is free to use and packet with a lots of features; such as; fill and sign; you can use Adobe Reader to fill any pdf forms with information, it makes it easy to use, there is also a signature feature to sign and also have the ability to save the filled document as well. Also, you can connect cloud storage apps such as Google Drive or OneDrive to pull up PDF docs. Moreover, Easy to navigate UI once Adobe Application loads and open on the right hand side you have many options to choose from , when opening the pdf document. I have been using Adobe reader for more than 5 + years and it makes it easier to view PDF docs, ability to fill and sign PDF forms, and save the PDF docs to online cloud storage.

Cons: I have noticed depending on the browser i use to open PDF documents via Adobe reader, it takes sometime to load the PDF if i use Mozilla or Edge, but in in chrome is loads pretty fast.

Overall: The main benefit i get using adobe reader is the ability to view any PDF documents and Filling out PDF forms that typically, filling out by hand is time consuming, but Adobe reader Fill and Sign makes the forms easier to read.

Pros: Working in an editorial line is a challenge that is initially manifested in the updating of contents and their revision. For this you have to have a lot of bibliographical material. Adobe Acrobat Reader is an excellent complement for me, since I can access any bibliographic material from the comfort of my pc, allowing me to review different approaches and perspectives according to the literary and intellectual orientation of different writers.

Cons: Thanks to its diverse range of texts that have been transferred to the PDF format, I can have in my control any book or author that searches easily and with a friendly format such as PDF. At the same time, Acrobat Reader develops its documents so that they can be taken anywhere thanks to its format and light weight.

Overall: When I did my university studies, I always strived to have a good collection of texts, books, essays and other bibliographical material, always looking for educational excellence. Adobe Acrobat Reader contributed greatly to this becoming a reality.

Until today, this software has contributed enormously to my intellectual training, allowing me to have first hand many texts that enriched my language, making it part of my lifestyle. Using this application is to guarantee success.

Good software package for the very basics.

Pros: If you're looking for a very standard pdf reader, then Acrobat is for you. There are practically no frills for this program, and that's reflected in the price. For a basic user who needs the capacity to view/create .pdf files, then you'll be covered here. The features, while very few, are intuitive and easy to use. Beyond that, it is a very affordable product if you don't need the fancy extras (embedding email or website addresses, copy/pasting text from a .pdf to another text document, etc.). Price is a big pro for this program.

Cons: The features and functionality are very limited. Recently, they've produced updates that allow you to create textboxes and place checkmarks, but that's about it (beyond highlighting). Unfortunately, these features are not very easy to find and even a user experienced with the program may have to do a little hunting to get what you're looking for. If you want the capability to create forms with embedded text entry fields, copy and paste letters from a .pdf file to a text editing file, or manipulate the form in any specific way, you're not going to find that with this product.

Pros: I am addicted to read books and scientific articles about enviroment, development and arts, and with Adobe Acrobat Reader I do not have any problems to download documents or buy books on the internte and just sit on my computer, tablet or smartphone and start reading what I most like. This a great app, because it is so simple to use, just open your files and you can underline, create figures to highlight and speciific topic and get an screenshot of any part of the document that generate an interest for you. You can also print a save the changes that you make in your documents in a very simple way.

Cons: The version that I have, Adobe Reader X has a little problem and that is that I cannot save the last point where I finish my read, so that means that I have to search manually where I stay in the book and continue my reading, I think that futures versions of the software can easily solve this problem.

Overall: For a person like me who use to read a lot of books an articles, this app has help to improve my knowledge, and easily learn about any topic I want, because PDF files are the most extended file types in the internet to share information between readers and professionals.

Pros: Very easy to use, straight forward. I'll be honest I probably don't even know half of the things you can use this software for, I use the very basics on this program. Fill, sign, print, send PDF's. I probably use this software 98% throughout my day though. It is crucial to my everyday duties. I love the iPad version of this program and use it everyday to put proposals together. Without it, I truly feel lost! It's the only way I know how to combine my proposals/quotes. I definitely use the iPad version much more than the desktop, it's easy to combine documents, delete certain pages out, email out to customers.

Cons: I feel like my iPad version is much more user friendly than my desktop version. I probably don't have it setup right on my desktop but I don't feel like I can do as much, such as deleting out certain pages or combining pages together. For some reason it works on my iPad, and I really just don't feel like taking the time to look into it, or have to pay for both versions. Not quite sure about all of that.

Overall: Works great, love the software on my iPad!! I use this everyday for all my quotes/proposals.

Pros: I like the editing features in this software the most. I have used other versions of Adobe pdf and they were extremely limited in their features. If you basically need a viewer, this version is not for you. However, if you need to add pages, insert files, edit existing files, add signatures, reduce scan size, then this version is for you. The process is easy and the "Search Tools" feature allows you to find anything you need, even if you aren't sure what it may be called.

Cons: I can't think of anything I don't like about this software. If I had one complaint it would be about the Adobe Creative Cloud App that houses the Reader-DC. We have had issues with the number of users allowed on to each app at the same time. We frequently have to sign out, or it signs out a user and requires users to sign back in, without the option to remember the login and password of the users.

Overall: I feel like this software saves me time, which is essentially saving me money. It allows me to complete many editing features in one application. Previous to this software, I would have to edit and make changes in Word and then convert to a pdf, now I can do it all in Reader-DC.

Pros: This new computer age has allowed this type of software to have a lot of value for the worker, researcher and planner. Among the benefits that I find in this program we can review documents in PDF format; books, forms, research instruments, legal documents among other documents of interest. And not only with the option of being able to see these documents, but also they can be elaborated, they can be protected or they can be left unlocked for the free use; can be exported to other environments such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and has the valuable tool of comments and opinions to improve the user experience

Cons: I do not have negative aspects that stand out beyond that sometimes I can not see the document online, or the printing is not as accurate as I expect it and a general criticism to some programs that is the inability to be able to observe them in other operative systems. These elements could be improved to have a more complete use of the software.

Overall: Thanks to this software developed since the end of the 20th century, and perfected since the 21st century, I have been able to see directly how each of the solutions associated with my work has improved. Being able to migrate to this program, leaving behind more incomplete ways to edit and send documents, has improved my capabilities. Added to this, it is quite easy to use and there is a lot of content on the internet configured in this format.

The Adobe systems family has hit the nail on the head by creating and perfecting Adobe Acrobat Reader, and I fully recommend this program to everyone.

Pros: Adobe Acrobat DC is one of those applications where you do not even realize how useful it is until you're stuck on a computer without it. It also now works with the Adobe cloud, which is extremely useful. I also love when my clients use the tracking changes feature in this product. Provide a simpler way to mark each item as you go and make edits in a clear and easy to understand way, i like that we can use it on a variety of devices, both PC and Mac, in articles generated from a wide variety of programs and that everything looks exactly as it was created and thought,  In addition this software is really useful to send invoices and forms of agreement for the recipient to complete and send back. The signature function is very useful.

Cons: Sometimes, when it is a large file, the combined pages are not always 100% at any time, they may not appear or, sometimes, when they are printed, they may appear distorted.

Overall: It allows you to send and share extremely professional looking files in an easy to read and manage way. It's also ideal for things like contracts and getting signatures needed for those contracts.

Pros: What I like most about this program is that it allows converting a document into a non-editable file at the time that we need to keep its properties, such as image texts or the formats of it. It is also very good since it allows certain tools to combine several files that are in that format, as well as to transform its format into another one that allows editing. As they have updated the versions, they have been adding tools to incorporate some elements if necessary, including comments, making measurements, entering texts. In many cases, saving a document, for example, that contains images in PDF format, allows you to maintain a good resolution but reduces the size of storage, facilitating the sending of e-mails, for example.

Cons: One of the disadvantages is that to be able to view this type of file, you must have the program installed, which would make it difficult to see if the user you want to send it to or if you need to open it on another computer and it is not installed, we risk not to be able to open it, since at the same time its discharge can become a bit slow. Sometimes the computer can hang up when trying to download a pdf file. Sometimes to be able to visualize a file of this type can generate problems if it is of another version.

Overall: The benefits it has given me is that it has allowed me to handle documents in a secure way, send lighter files. Configure files with special features such as adding signatures, stamps, combine or order once the file has been saved.

Pros: The best feature is text editing, but you can edit the images, crop the page, add pages, delete pages, copy pages, a lot of different things. I have used the text editing function to copy text from a PDF file and paste it into another program in order to change the format of our corporate brand. I also love the option to export to an image. This is very useful when a pdf is not printed or it matters as it is in my design program. More than just a PDF platform, Adobe Acrobat DC also works as an eSignature solution (which saves a lot of time). You can send documents to recipients located anywhere in the world and put your legally binding signatures without effort. This is extremely valuable to me when I work with clients on the go.

Cons: Overall, the program has a very simple feel to it, but is actually a bit more complex than one would imagine. Once you get the hang of it, it is simple. There seems to be a learning curve, however.

Overall: Dealing with PDF files has never been so easy, and due to the great popularity of Adobe, this is just another product that they have not disappointed.

Pros: While most Web browsers have their own built in pdf viewers these days, Adobe Acrobat Reader has many more functions that are necessary for my work. As an academic researcher, I read tons of studies all of the time which I download from journals. Adobe is great because I can have multiple files open at once and easily switch through them with the tabs. Plus, I can highlight and add notes in the text (my favorite feature). Some helpful advanced features include being able to cut apart or add pdf documents together. I actually use this a lot for my own papers I write, and it saves me the trouble of having to convert them back and forth into Word documents.

Cons: I've heard Adobe has some security vulnerabilities, and it is possible that having the program installed on your computer can open you up to exploits. I'm not sure if these have been patched yet.

Overall: Great for juggling many pdf documents at once, plus lots of advanced editing features. The free version has most features available, but lucky for me my University has a licence for the advanced version so I get access to all of the extra goodies.

Pros: The adobe acrobat DC reader design is much better than adobe reader few years back.

Few features I often like is opening of pdf documents in tabs and the recent list of opened documents on launching the app which is useful for quick navigation. Also the application as such feels fast and not memory hungry unlike earlier versions which used to slow down after opening few documents.

Cons: Even after many updates the UI and settings options still look outdated, like enabling what buttons to appear in toolbar, quick access to switch to dark mode is missing. Many useful settings are hidden the context menu of preferences, I always find having to google search on how to change certain setting. Also interconversion of PDF to docs/spreadsheets is not smooth process and formatting goes bad in some cases. Too much of proprietary on documents formats, lack of good opensource alternatives is what keeping the product alive.

Overall: The default app for years to read PDF readers have been adobe acrobat, and the newer DC version is welcome improvement and adds the most needed features like cloud integrations.

Pros: I use adobe daily for business use. I have tried other similar applications when my use case needed something that adobe did not offer but find myself returning as adobe is constantly improving their product and not only integrating the competitors features, but improving on them. I am constantly surprised and pleased with new feature releases finding that they always meet my needs, and often surprise me with features I didn't even know I wanted.

Cons: The software can run into bug problems at times. Specifically when it comes to printing PDFs. There seems to be a recurring one that causes my pdfs to print blank. The bugs that crop up are all usually fixed just not in a timely manner that I would like. This has caused me to stray to other software suites but once fixed, always has me coming back to adobe.

Overall: The largest benefit I have gotten from this software is the ability to measure blueprints based on scale I input. This has made it much easier for estimating then printing out the pdf and using a tape measure. Its features like this that are always being added that really make this product shine.

Pros: Research is also our strength in the workplace. Every day we must consult approaches based on organic chemistry, earth sciences and geology with the need to find the best ways to approach our field projects and Acrobat Reader is an excellent solution to nourish these investigations. One of the elements that I can highlight of this software is the almost infinite amount of documents, symposiums, interviews, scientific journals, specialized bibliography and books that I can find in this platform of PDF documents and the best of this software, all bibliographic hagos are totally digtalized, having at hand an excellent collection of research necessary for the development of our activities in the field of action research.

Cons: Many times we want to convert documents into other formats and transfer them to PDF, and that is almost impossible with this software. To do this we will need other software specialized in this topic, something that seems illogical, but it is the reality that this software offers us.

Pros: If we want to make PDFs and we don't have time to learn any other program, Adobe Acrobat Reader is for us.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is very clean, simple and gives everything need to access a PDF document.

User interface does not strain our eyes and allows us to focus on what we are reading.

Adobe Acrobat Reader has endless number of tools, we can simply click on that tools and access different options.

Also we can print our document directly from Adobe Acrobat Reader.

When we are reading a huge document and we want to change the chapter, Acrobat Reader gives it separately, and we can choose any chapter we want.

And also, if we want to highlight something important in the document, Adobe Acrobat Reader allows us to do that by clicking on the highlighter tool.

Adobe Acrobat Reader not only works on computer but also works on tablet and phone.

Cons: We can't do editing in the free version.

If we are editing a PDF and we haven't installed correct fonts it can get pretty frustrating rather quickly

Overall: I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader for reading and editing PDFs. As I feel this is the best way to do both things from one place. So I recommend this for everyone who want to read and edit PDFs.

Pros: As a small business owner I fill out and sign a lot of forms for accounts and paperwork using Acrobat Reader. It is useful in that I can use the Sign feature to place text anywhere on the page and also to place a saved signature. The text font size can easily be scaled to properly fit a line on the page. I also use Acrobat Reader to review pdf catalogs and am able to zoom, page, etc with ease. The PDF is a universal document that we also use for print ads and graphics that are saved in Illustrator. So I would have to concede that Acrobat Reader is an essential application for just about any business including our own.

Cons: This software is extremely annoying in that it always creates prompts and popups for updates. I absolutely hate how frequently it will interrupt the user with some announcement or new version. It's the worst. Acrobat Reader also has a heavyweight footprint for RAM and system usage when running.

Overall: We use Acrobat Reader to view and sign documents as well as to review proofs for graphic design.

I am rating this application very high as it was always available and easy to use.

Pros: I have been using Adobe reader for years and have found it to be a very useful application. I may recive a document in PDF and want to reuse it I am able to copy the portion and add it to another document then resave the file without any issues. I love that this program gives you the ability to edit and manipulate PDFs, something that was almost impossible otherwise. The ability to combine PDFs, edit them, create them, organize them is a plus. There are many options which I didnt even know were possible. The ability to reduce PDFs or export as images is very nice. I also enjoy the scanned text option to allow searchable PDFs which is a nice feature.

Cons: I think that Adobe should implement optical character recognition which I thinkwould be helpful. The other thing is that it cannot split a pdf file which has several pages into separate pdf documents this would have been a great feature.

Overall: The benefit I get from ths software of a lot I give it a five star and would definitly recommend this tool to accomplish many things.

Pros: The benefits that I see from this software are the following:

-The PDF format is one of the most supported worldwide, so a PDF file can be opened on any computer, there are even PC versions that have this software pre-installed.

-Facility to have quite long documents in the comfort of a PDF format.

-A wide variety of books, legal documents, administrative documents, theory books and others, which have been made by the developers or editorial mimes.

-The files are quite light, do not take up almost space in the memory

Cons: The PDF files are quite difficult to edit since in many cases they are protected against writing, and in case, without being protected you can not edit, sometimes you can not copy these files.

Overall: Adobe Acrobat Reader is to have it everywhere. Not only at work can this software be used but in the comfort of the home, to have texts that can be read very easily on android devices, ios, tablets, laptops and pc. Pros: Adobe Acrobat Reader has been with me for many years in my training process and currently does it in my work process, leaving me only excellent impressions among which we have a widely used and recognized format that is PDF, large amounts of information that had to be carried before in many sheets, it can now be carried on a PC, Android, IOS, or tablet device, in the way, easier and simpler. In addition to this, the PDF format can be opened in any computer.

Cons: One of the most negative aspects that I see of PDF formats is that their editing is very cumbersome, you have to use special programs that can support this format

Overall: Adobe Acrobat Reader is an excellent software that simplifies and reduces considerably the resources that have to be spent to keep a company afloat; I specifically refer to the issuance of paper, classified information, legal documents, assistance formats, information filling list among other things that this program knows how to synthesize without losing its quality and the veracity of the texts made.

Pros: Acrobat Reader remains the free standard choice for viewing, printing, filling out forms, and signing pdf files. The software operation is very basic and requires minimal training. Whenever I use Acrobat, I am confident that the document I am viewing is safe. Having a reliable PDF reader that can be view on computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. is a must in today's business world.

Cons: If a document is large or contains many photos, Acrobat will begin to run sluggish. It will take very long to scroll through a document or parts or parts of the document will disappear from the pdf as you scroll through. This is an issue that happens frequently with devices connected over a mobile network. We encourage our sales people to use a wifi connection when viewing PDF files because of this issue. We have also had issues with form information not saving and transferring properly. Some of the documents we are required to fill out can be lengthly and we have lost several when transferring back to the person that orignally sent us the forms.

Overall: Free PDF viewing, annotation, signature, form filling, and printing capabilities.

Pros: I like its clean and neat appearance, but every coin has two sides. Underneath the clean appearance, there are many powerful tools and functions, you can easy convert from pdf to various formats, and you can crop the scanned items, rotate your reversed articles by tis automatic recognizing system, which is awesome.

Cons: Its tools are categorized and presented in graphs. In an urgent case, it will be frustrating to locate a specific tool or function among thsoe bottons. It does not provide any search for tools as well. For example, last time I want to extract some pages to one pdf after croping. I had needed to tell who comes first and whether it locates under Combine or Edits or something else. Shorcut tools and most often used tools should be in a striking location. Overall: It is overall good but compared to the competitor Foxit Reader, I hope Acrobat can do better in terms of providing the most convenient tools and functions.

Pros: it allows me to visualize all the information that is in pdf format, as well as to save files of editable formats to pdf. It is flexible in letting me underline main ideas within the document and gives me the opportunity to add a comment within the file if necessary. At work protects the document from being modified and altered, thus protecting the copyright. It is easy to understand for beginners and does not take up much space. Important is free and runs on different operating systems.

Cons: There are few limitations that I observe for this software, one is that it can lower the quality of the documents when they are printed, and when you have not done the update each time you save a document you will see the company logo on the upper left, compromising the information of the file.

Overall: It allows me to have access to all the documents in pdf format, it is easy to use either from the computer or tablet and does not generate any expense to acquire it.

can be integrated in office, web browsers and defaul system app

Cons: Slower with any new iteration

Most features need a cloud account, there is where the free world ends

Incompatibility issues with certain type of digital certificates, fonts and signatures

web browser extension in chrome can be silly some times. Does not respond to click

be aware by downloading, they always want to add 3rd party software with the download.

Overall: Adobe reader has been my PDF reader since I remember. Tried alternatives solutions, the own reader app in Windows 8 and the Draw in Windows 10, using the web browsers to open PDFs but always have returned to Adobe for specific needs to make some changes or edit in the PDF. Not sure if those features are not available in others, or they are not as user friendly or to use as in Adobe.

Pros: Acrobat files are always highly portable and easy to share. The new Reader DC package includes all of the basic features that you'll need to create and read PDFs, and is surprisingly robust given that it is entirely free. Users utilizing this version will have no problem opening files built with paid version of Acrobat.

Cons: There really aren't many drawbacks considering that this is free software. We often send the link along with PDF files to download to clients who we aren't sure have the software installed, but the one drawback is the automatic "checkbox" download of McAfee software with Acrobat.

Overall: Acrobat allows us to interface with all of our customers who are not part of large institutions with paid versions of Acrobat and still utilize PDFs, which are our preferred electronic file type. We can still secure all of our files as needed, and even create form fields, and all anyone needs is the free version of Acrobat to access those files and interact with those files. It's incredible.

Pros: It is possible to complement forms, fill and modify texts quickly, allows me to view, edit, sign, read, and work with PDF files in an easy and uncomplicated way, Acrobat Reader DC works very well with the main operating systems and we can access to our archives in a simple way, by logging in with our free Adobe Document Cloud account, or by connecting to any of our personal file hosting accounts online.

Cons: I do not like that so far I have not managed to open more than one file at a time, it seems that a conflict is created in the pogra, ma for that reason and I would like to improve the night mode to make it more pleasing to the eye.

Overall: Acrobar Reader DC is extremely useful and necessary for my daily business, it has been very useful for me, it allows me to view, edit, convert, send and sign PDF documents, so I use it in my work many times and I also use it in my life personal, because I am always reading books and information in PDF and that in turn I share with my contacts.

Pros: Adobe created the PDF file format, so they basically write the rule book. If you're going to use a PDF program, I would probably just stick with Adobe. A great feature of the program is being able to add and edit text to a PDF, using the original document's font. Basically acrobat analyzes the text and constructs a facsimile of the font. Even if the font is not installed on your computer, you can still use it.

Cons: The major downside is that it can be kind of pricey. If you already have a Creative Cloud subscription, this program might be included in your plan. However, if it's not, then it's just another monthly fee you have to worry about. Also, if you don't need all of the capabilities that the program provides, then it might be cheaper to just go with an alternate reader. But, if you need to do some intense editing or create forms that can be signed, then you might just have to bite the bullet.

Pros: 1. It's simple and best for handling PDF file like i can take printout of a PDF without loosing the actual format and alignment unlike other editor or reader.

2. It 's built in spelling check.

3. Every Platform Support Mobile, PC and online.

4. Tons of feature like Edit PDF, Export PDF, Create PDF and Optimize PDF.

5. Another feature is Read Out loud that is really fun sometimes.

Cons: 1. Most of the features i mentioned above are paid, yeah but Price is not that much high.

2. The fact that they should provide some more feature to it's free version so that user can see it's taste.

3. Reader android app is of 19 MB, I think they should reduce it's size as there is less space in my phone.

Overall: Creating and Editing and Optimizing PDF is the first real business problem I am solving with it.

It's really nice to carry stuffs in it's PDF version so that i can take printout of it without loosing the actual format and alignment.

Pros: PDF management tools are unparalleled, with options to create, export, merge or reorder. I'm quite satisfied with the document cloud. Often, my laptop had problems dealing with all the loaded documents, although I must say that I like to work on multiple documents at the same time, which should not be the general case. Above all we use this service to digitize important documents and until now it worked well. Powerful mobile applications make it easy for customers and employees alike to take the following steps, anytime, anywhere ... in general ACROBAT DC has excellent features at an appropriate price.

Cons: At the beginning it is quite complex to use this product properly and I do not like that the product has flaws when working with heavy documents ... I think it has to improve in that aspect.

Overall: This product brought great good operational and economic benefits because Cloud Document services ensure that users can access their documents even when they are away from their main work ... I consider it useful and necessary for the company thanks to has a very effective platform to work in the cloud.

This software is used as a default document type in order to ensure all parties will have access.

Pros: I love the new Fill & Sign function that is available with the free download as it makes documents a fillable form. This is important in that is keeps documents looking crisp and has eliminated the need to print forms, fill them out manually, and re-scan them to be digital again which is a big saver of paper. I love that it is an easy and free download. I only send documents in PDF's along with a link to the download to avoid recipients saying they cannot open the file or the document has lost it's format.

Cons: What I like least about the free download version of Adobe DC Reader is that sometimes certain documents disable the Copy and Past function which makes pulling information from a PDF sometime difficult.

Overall: This product eliminates many instances where printing may have been necessary. It also ensure that company wide documents do not lose their formatting when being sent and transferred from one computer to another.

Pros: I am able to convert all types of documents (word, docx, etc) into PDF's - then if needed, edit them still and share with my team. I use adobe illustrator a lot in my job so having everything saved as a PDF is a must for me. I love that you can re-arrange the pages of a PDF, the "find & replace" tool is so valuable! When we change the name of product I can easily change it throughout the document without having to read it over manually and find each one.

Cons: I don't like that it's subscription-based now. Over time you pay a lot to use it, which I'm sure is why they do it but on the pro side, at least the software is always being updated without having to buy the updated version. I don't like the feature to move text - it doesn't work great to select text and move to another page. I end up having to open it in illustrator to do that.

Overall: Time savings, ease of use within multiple other programs.

Pros: I get to use adobe acrobat reader for documents that was sent via the company's internal email. Majority for Sharing new learning materials or updates and even documentation templates. which is a very important flat form for an operation that needs constant updates. My work load is towards the leasing industry, our team handles multiple property management companies, and updates comes in almost everyday.

It can easily access the document without having to save it, but you have the option to do so. Well this eliminates file clutter, specially for a read only document against files that you will have to use over and over again.

Cons: In some cases the system will uninstall itself or will not load even if you're still seeing there. It may be an issue with our i.t. team but it happens. But it can easily be solves remotely. So trouble shooting is not an issue.

Pros: This software is excellent for sharing files and ensuring that they have not been modified, on the other hand it is a global standard and this makes it possible for anyone to read the document by installing a minimum of software requirements

Cons: In my personal experience it seems to me that the important functionalities of the software are not installed with the free versions of the product so you have to invest a little more than you think to be able to use the important improvements of the product, on the other hand it has been quite tedious the fact that every week a part and/or version of the software comes out and the operating system constantly asks for updates.

Overall: In general my experience with Acrobat Reader has been satisfactory although I have needed to download functionalities and patches apart from the version provided by the company or the free version, it also seems to me that it is a bit heavy for the current operating systems.

Pros: This is the only pdf viewer that introduced me to pdf world. The easy of use, amazing control over your pdf files and most importantly fast and smooth operations with editing the pdf files if needed. I personally like the authorized sign feature. Cons: The updates that I get or which pop open every other day, where in I absolutely have no idea what they do as the UI remain the same. For the matter of fact, the UI has not changed much in the past 2 - 3 years but I am always asked to update the software, I understand it would be for safety and security, but pushing updates each other day is quite annoying

Overall: Over all its been a positive experience. Editions, viewing, signings etc are easy to do and are always quite easy. Only concern is over updates that are imposed upon

Pros: Acrobat Reader DC adds several points in favor with some of its features. You can review documents in PDF format such as forms and books. Cons: I honestly can not find major disadvantages in Acrobat Reader DC. It seems to me that he has fully fulfilled my expectations. At first it seems a complex program but to delve into its functions we can realize that it is a very useful software that is worth making an investment.

Overall: Acrobat Reader DC has allowed me to save time and practice my profession in a simpler way. To create online forms related to the educational area and have a cloud to store all our information is invaluable. With this software, things seem simpler than they are.

Pros: Acrobat Reader DC makes the life easy, it's the easiest way to view and edit PDFs. Super intuitive and all the feature are placed in way that anyone could easily comprehend the software and start working without any training or learning about the software. The most interesting feature which makes it superior from other products is that ARDC allows the users to add hyperlinks, viewers can easy access the information user wants to provide through hyperlinks. And on top of all, it's free, no subscription cost.

Cons: It takes time in opening, and a small program like this should respond instantly. Another feature i would like to have in free version: PFD to MS word converter. If this can be added in free version, I would not have to go to other online website to get it done.

Overall: Overall, its a remarkable tool and no#1 choice of most businesses, just like us.

Pros: Adobe Reader is an absolute MUST HAVE for any business. With the high number of documents being transmitted in .pdf format, this software sets the standard for conversion, viewing and distribution of documents. I have used this product for years and have never found a single program like it. It is extremely user friendly and simple to learn, for even the untrained worker who has never had to use a .pdf file.

Cons: My biggest complaint is the limited number of tools that comes available in the free version of this software. A one time fee (rather pricey) takes care of that, but for an office with limited funds (as we were during our first years) that can be an issue.

Overall: The biggest issue that Adobe Reader solves is the viewing of documents transmitted in .pdf format, as so many businesses are using nowadays. As I previously stated, this is an absolute must have for any business or home.

Cons: it is important to mention that the functionality of editing is not free, we must not let go of the fact that getting the way to edit them is complicated since the text is perceived as an image and at the level of programming systems, building them and generating them is quite tedious

Overall: In my area I have had the opportunity to work with different clients and employers where communication and important documentation about the possible activities are handled in this format that provides certain security and actions to guarantee it, for example, to prohibit printing or editing, in my opinion it is the most recommended corporate and personal format for sending electronic documents

Pros: If you work with PDF forms a lot this program is hands down the best out there. I love being able to open a PDF and edit it easily, or create a fillable form to send to coworkers or clients. Another huge bonus is that when I scan documents onto my computer, it's so easy to take all the indvidual pictures, convert them to PDFs, combine all the individual PDFs into one document and edit the page organization. This program is absolutely amazing and easy to use!

Cons: My biggest pet peeve is that its nearly impossible to edit tables in PDFs. I have to convert the document to word, which can cause formatting issues, just to edit the table, and then convert it back to PDF. I really which this was a feature that would be fixed.

Overall: Great PDFing tool, but if you don't want to pay the high costs are don't work with PDFs extensively, there's plenty of free options out there.

Pros: Adobe Reader DC has been our go-to application for PDF viewing and annotation since it was released. We use it on our RDS servers and desktop/laptop images due to its stability and broad compatibility. The most recent versions allow us to mark up PDFs and open more secure files. The app has server our users greatly over the past 2-3 years. The software allows to deploy it via GPO or software package fairly easily. We've tried other PDF readers in the past. However, we seem to make it back to this one every time.

Cons: The Tools pane seems to never go away no matter how you hide or ask it not to show. Small price to pay though for the value the software provides.

Another thing that always pulls me to this app from other similiar apps is its sheer speed in opening large pdfs. Its super fast and super reliable.

Cons: Well, this is not a con but nevertheless we cannot edit PDFs with the free version and the huge feature gap between the free and the pro can easily deter customers from opting for the paid version. Adobe could really work on the size of the App in Android. Its quite large.

One of the advantages it provides is that you can prevent your files from being modified by giving you read-only protection, or by protecting them with a password. Pros: This software provides me with all the tools I need to keep new research papers organized, highlighted, and written on such that I am able to avoid printing out hundreds of pages of paper, daily. Furthermore, it allows for easy e-signing, something that is incredibly valuable when you don't feel like running from office to office on a daily basis.

Cons: I only have one small quip with this software: if you are working on a document, highlighting and writing on it, and you accidentally move the file (say, from the downloads file to the desktop) you will lose all edits without warning. You will only become aware of this when you try to reopen the file. Otherwise, I have no major quips with the software.

Pros: I'm using Acrobat Reader DC since 2017. It's having many features to make, edit, store and share pdf files.

they provide two sections "Home", "Tools" in their desktop software.

In the 'Storage' option in the home section, they provide different storage options, including their Adobe document cloud option. And also in the 'File-list' option in the home section, they provide a feature to scan documents through the mobile application & tracking feature for the sent files.

In the Tools section, they provide features like Create pdf, Comment, Edit pdf, Export pdf, Fill & Sign, Print Production, Combine files, Protect, Send & Track, etc.

I recommended Acrobat Reader DC to anyone.

Cons: When I go to the subscription plan in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, It's not supported for some countries including Sri Lanka. It's showing "Sorry, this product is not available in your country".

I love how I just can edit, sign, fill, export, create, combine, stamp, measure, add certificates, organize pages, censor, protect, optimize, prepare forms, compare files, customize them, and much more, all this a single program and with the quality that Adobe always offers.

Cons: I have no complaints regarding Adobe Reader DC, it is the most complete version of this software, it has all the options that a professional requires, it has no limitations, and removes the need to invest my time using external applications, since all the options what you need are in AR.

Pros: The standard for PDF, has many important tools you need already in the free version. I mostly like the annotations tool, as well as the Fill and Sign tool. Fill and Sign was something I always wanted in the past, something so simple that saves a lot of time and effort, instead of having to print, fill, sign and then scan and email someone.

Cons: I don't like the fact that you can't do basic editing to some things, like covering a field or something. Could be for security reasons, but could have a workaround. Another thing I don't like is when part of the text cannot be copied - even in some pdf documents that are not locked. The copy field shows up when right clicking, but it doesn't copy. In Brazil we use payment slips to pay some bills, and in some cases we have to end up typing a huge string of numbers.

Pros: I have this app installed on all devices so whatever I reach for and no matter how I receive information from clients I can easily convert to pdf and edit those as needed. Can create forms on the fly, share them, collect signatures as needed and protect those docs. In business it's all about the paperwork - that can be digital work and shared efficiently because an informed team is an effective team.

Cons: Should come with more stamps. But downloading new stamps and importing them is fairly simple.

Overall: I work with property mgrs all over the country who have vendors texting pics of invoices. I can get them and clean them up and turn them into a proper document for the property owners that are clear and easy to print or share with their tax person. Edit and Organize large documents and send them out protected and ready for signature. If I need a form - it's easy to do.

Pros: Adobe Reader is a well known PDF reader, it's the most used and have the best features on the market. With the paid version you can even edit PDF documents and save it again.

It also supports DRM (Digital Rights Management) so you can protect your document before sending it to another person.

Cons: The interface should me more customizable. I don't use and don't intend to use some of the features, but it keeps on screen every time I open a PDF document. There is some tricky ways to get rid of some of the panels, by editing registry and / or deleting some files, but its not that easy, I guess some people which has not too much computer knowledge can suffer to remove the undesired options.

Overall: Acrobat Reader is part of my daily tasks. All the time I'm reading a PDF document or exporting my documents to PDF, so it's my work partner!

Pros: I use Acrobat Reader on a daily basis at work and it's wonderful. This software makes editing PDF's a breeze, plus I love being able to sign things electronically on when needed. My work place requires a lot of PDF's to be fillable so we can share with others without the stress of having our content edited or messed up. Acrobat has made that one hundred times easier to make that happen and now I don't have to worry about sharing documents with others.

Cons: I honestly can say I don't have any cons for this software. As far as PDF software goes, there really isn't anyone else I'd turn to over Adobe. Some might say that it is rather expensive to have, but honestly, you get what you pay for and they really do provide you with an amazing software. It's definitely worth every penny.

Pros: One of the highlights of this software is its versatility in terms of platforms. It can be used on a desktop computer. a tablet or smart phone. In the same way you can print or fill in forms with this application which makes it very attractive. I particularly use the underline function a lot, which is very useful for me. Similarly, it provides security to documents, preventing them from being modified.

Cons: I honestly do not find any disadvantages or negative aspects in this software. It has fulfilled each of my expectations as all Adobe products. It really is a very useful program.

Overall: Acrobat Reader DC has turned out to be a very useful program from every point of view. Thanks to this software I handle very well with the PDF format providing security to my work to avoid being plagiarized. It's like having a digital printer in our hands.

Pros: 1) Pdf format is our preferred template for sending and receiving documents, and almost all document types can easily be converted into a pdf file. The benefit of Acrobat Reader is that it allows you to manipulate and combine these files however you need to.

2) The editing features are very user friendly and make it easy to make additions (text or graphic) to pdf files, to combine files, and to extract pages.

3) The text on scanned documents becomes editable through Adobe's text recognition feature.

4) Unlike Microsoft word, you can click and drag text and images to wherever you want them to be on the page.

Cons: There is very little that I don't like about this software. It is easy to use, efficient, and offers many benefits for administrative work. The only cons are that if you save the file as an "Adobe pdf" rather than simply a "PDF" this file type is not always compatible for others you are sending the document to.

Pros: Adobe Acrobat DC has so much more functionality than Adobe Reader that I wish I'd upgraded earlier. Acrobat DC makes it easy to create forms, insert pages from other PDF files, edit content, add images and comments/notes, highlight content, sign documents electronically, and more. I also like being able to "print to PDF" to save digital copies of everything from online receipts to Word documents and lock them to prevent others from editing the content. Those are just a few of the things that make Acrobat DC a necessity for me and a tool I highly recommend to all professionals.

Cons: I imported a Word file with form fields once and was disappointed that the fields didn't transfer. There may have been a better workaround, but I just recreated the form in Acrobat. Now I build the content for forms in Word, leave spaces for form fields, print to PDF, and then add the form fields.

Overall: With Acrobat DC, I'm able to create forms, add/change/move images, edit and highlight text, add notes/comments for other readers, digitally sign documents and request digital signatures, lock content so other readers can't edit it, and more. I use it so frequently that I don't know what I'd do without it!

Pros: I love how easy this software is to use. Right, when I downloaded it I was able to open any pdf on my computer. It's very nice to be able to edit within the software as well. There aren't a ton of options there but the ones that are offered work like a charm. You can color over the image and change it in many other ways.

Cons: I wish that this software had more options offered when it comes to editing images. As of now, there is a decent amount but not enough to blow the competition out of the water. As of now, this is my only complaint with this software and I hope it stays that way. It was also quite confusing to learn what all the tools do. I wish this was more simple.

Overall: This has helped our business. Whenever I need to make a small edit on an assignment I made it can be done quickly and effectively.

Pros: - Many features that work well, better than any 3rd party software used.

- Allows manipulation of documents in a way that is relatively user-friendly.

- Once used to, can be very powerful for PDF editing & creating fillable documents.

- PDF application on all other platforms is free and easy to use.

Cons: - So robust that the biggest struggle is knowing where each feature is found at

- Unless using frequently, can be difficult to make the cost worth it.

- Uses some confusing wording when titling each section.

- Editing text and editing fillable areas are under different pdf categories.

Overall: Complete editability of PDF documents like no other software provides. Will allow you to not only edit PDF's but add features to your pdf that you could only dream about with other software.

Worth it if used a lot and advanced features are needed.

Pros: In my job as a lawyer, Adobe Acrobat Reader has been fundamental for the development of my functions in the company where I work:

Among the most interesting functions that this software has, I observe the following ones:

1-A fairly warm interface, with its well-described functions.

2-Very large files such as books, intellectual property documents and litigation, are reduced to a size easy to transport anywhere.

3-Elaboration of difgital signatures that allow me to shorten the time in the elaboration of legal documentation.

Cons: Sometimes some files are not transformed in the best way to other software and applications such as Microsoft Word. Although I think that these aspects, as the updates have been happening, have been improving significantly

Pros: Easily navigable tabbed interface, comprehensive PDF editing features. Mobile Acrobat DC apps convert photos into PDF forms which is a plus. Adobe is very efficient and make our life easier. Adobe's help and support resources are extensive, and although there is no phone or email support, they do have live chat support on their website, which is a great perk.

Cons: Adobe Reader DC has a rich feature set and that can be overwhelming for new users. While Acrobat DC's highly customization interface is a pro, if you don't spend time getting it to where you want it, the default interface could be a bit confusing in that it presents options you may never use.

Overall: Acrobat DC allows for extremely detailed control over your documents' security while providing extensive tools for collaboration, annotation and redaction.

Pros: This an app that I use since I was in highschool, and later in college and for my master degree, all my files in PDF format I use it through Acrobat Reader, it is easy, simple and fast, does not take much time to load the files and you can browse inside them easily, all my books, documents and articles are in PDF format and of course I use with Acrobat Reader

Cons: In the beginning the software has some limitations, some lags and the large virtually cannot open it with it, but the newest version are fast, simple and very useful. Maybe they improve the tools for underlying. becuase other similar software has improve a lot this tools.

Overall: The possibilty to manage and use all my files in PDF format in only one app. I like very much Acrobat Reader I am user of this program from so many years ago I constantly uses daily.

Pros: Using Adobe native software is the best way to get 100% compatibility with the range of PDF documents and forms strewn across the web. If you dig into the settings, DC's features as a viewer are quite robust. The interface meanwhile remains mostly functional, although somewhat clunky and with odd gaps in what can or cannot be customized. Were it not for resource usage issues detailed in the Cons section, it could still be as outstanding as it once was.

Cons: Adobe, like many large software publishers seems intent on testing the limits of how much questionably useful, basic functionality and interface gee-whizzery they can cram into what really should be a streamlined, lightning quick viewer app. What am I trying to say? Reader DC, far moreso than Reader XI will test the limits of your system resources, while doing basically the same job that Reader versions have done for years and years. There are free (and some open source) reader alternatives which still prioritize responsiveness. I will admit that of these alternatives, they still often seem to struggle with compatibility - using Adobe native reader is still the only way to guarantee maximum compatibility.

Pros:

I do not generate any expense to download it to the computer, to my tablet, to my phone, it allows me to view the files in pdf format, but I can also convert my files in this format, but the most important thing is that it allows me to combine different pdf files in only one, that makes my work much easier, to manage a single file and not multiple or by sheets.

Cons:

It has happened to me that when I did not update the program every time I save a document I printed the company logo on the upper left, compromising the information in the file. In some case I have lost resolution in what I want to print. That allows editing the pdf, can compromise the copyright.

Overall: * Is free.

* Allow me to combine several pdf files in a single document.

* It allows me to underline and comment on important ideas.

Pros: Adobe reader dc is the first pdf software I used and after using several other software I can say that paying for it is not worth it, I can't find anything positive about it, maybe that it's free version is good for pdf reading, just use that one and another editing software and you should be good.

Cons: A huge problem I have with it is how expensive it is, there are cheaper options that work as well as adobe or even better. Also this software is extremely heavy and makes my computer work at turtle speed.

Overall: My experience with adobe reader wasn't the greatest, I really don't recommend it, it is just so expensive, and for me it has been really unstable, it makes my computer really slow and paying for it is just not worth it, I recommend that if you are obligated to work with it just to use the free version and use other cheaper editors

Pros: Adobe Acrobat has been the leading PDF editor/reader for many many years. We use Acrobat on a daily basis performing tasks that range from, signing documents, highlighting text, and many other things. Editing PDF's can be a drag obviously but it's made easy with Acrobat. I use Acrobat Reader DC on all of my computers both Mac and Windows and all of my employees use this software. Without this software we are unable to process payments, and sign documents and do many other things.

Cons: I don't like paying monthly fees for Adobe. I think its great software, but we don't like paying monthly. We would rather pay 1 fee and own the software outright.

Overall: Without Acrobat we would not be able to digitally sign documents. We process thousands of documents fast and efficient with Acrobat.

Pros: It is free and does a good job of opening and reading the ubiquitous PDF format. When coupled with form-filling PDFs, you can use your own reader to complete the forms, save and print them or send them back to the source.

Cons: I wish that you would not have to pay for the full version Acrobat just so you can occasionally edit a few typos here and there. However, I understand that this is the business model. I use other open source programmes to edit the PDFs.

Overall: It is great to be able to send documents, invoices and white papers in a format that you can secure, sign (might need full version - which I have at work) and store. Now all of your bills and statements are in the ubiquitous PDF format which saves paper and make filing so much easier. Pros: The thing I like the most is the functionality and the ability to alter, combine, and extract documents as needed. I handle a great amount of construction plans that are saved in PDF format and to extract certain pages so that I can better show what I need done make my job significantly easier. Also the combining of files to get a bunch of PDFs together to email out with respect to a single subject is very helpful as well. The editing functionality also allows for quick comments and arrows pointing to exactly what is needed.

Cons: The thing I like the least was the time to get familiarized with the new format and the need to select the tools tab to get into the full functionality.

Pros: Acrobat Reader DC is the best option to manage PDFs. You can comment on a document, type right in the document, electronically sign a document, and so much more. I have the free version and it works great.

Cons: The functions you can use are great, however they are limited. for example, you can only use 1 font, and cant edit it very well. You can only change the font size, and if you can - I have no idea how and its not clear. However, I do know you can upgrade it and have better subscriptions so maybe that is the case? I am unaware of what the paid subscription includes.

Overall: I type comment and type right in the document allll the time. It saves so much time during work instead of printing it out and writing in it. The electronic signature is great. Overall Acrobat Reader saves so much time and is super easy to use!

Pros: The ease of use is really the best feature of this software. All of the tools availability are clearly laid out and are so easy to use. At work we do a lot of combining of files and creating new resources out of of existing PDFs and this software lets us to that with minimal fuss. It also allows you to edit PDFs which is invaluable for the one off corrections one inevitably needs to make even after designing and editing a resource.

Cons: It can occasionally be glitchy which can get annoying if you are in a time crunch. By glitchy I mean that sometimes you will click on a tool like "combine files" and even if you have the files selected it won't recognize them. Usually this can be fixed by closing the software and just opening it again but sometimes you have to close and open it a couple of times before it corrects itself.

Overall: My overall experience has been really good, in that I have found the software very helpful and a real time saver in my every day content creation. It has become kind of a one stop shop for making workbooks for trainings and altering handouts that may need minor revisions for different audiences.

Pros: It just handles PDF documents better than the native applications on Mac or Windows. While others can get the job done, this is something you likely don't know you needed until you use it. Handles digital signatures and multiple document types A LOT better than other applications

Cons: There aren't too many negatives, it is easy to use, but there seem to be some bugs. For instance, you can't seem to simply open and view a document with a digital signature to verify its signing. The program always prompts you to save a copy while closing even though you haven't made any changes.

Overall: Its ease of use is the main benefit. Other programs can mainly do the same things, but this is the easiest I have come across. Using advanced PDF features is where it really has a much better functionality over its competitors

Pros: Adobe created the PDF format, now a standard for documents shared all over the world. I have no doubt that Adobe is/should be the authority when it comes to the full functionality and extensibility of such a document format.

This is not only a PDF reader, it comes with tools for printing and commenting on PDF documents.

The best part for me is the fact that it now connected to Adobe's Cloud. I can now access and work on my files synced across multiple devices (e.g., my home laptop, work desktop, and even on my tablet/smartphone).

Lastly, I have come across PDFs (perhaps created with Acrobat) that didn't work well with other PDF readers (competition), esp when it comes to form-filling and PDF security features. I have never encountered any problems when using Adobe Reader DC. Hence, the PDF authority for me.

Cons: This software is huge! The installer itself is 175MB already. My only consolation is to think that the big file size is due to its comprehensiveness in terms of features. The downside is that it comes sometimes feel clunky, esp for older devices.

I do not have to worry about its functions because it is extremely easy to use without any problem. I highly recommend this software for PDF work.

Cons: No major issue I have faced. The least thing is sometimes it takes too long while opening the PDF files even this problem accrue while opening the small sized and large with both of them it creates problem. I do not say that it doesn't work, it works but quite slowly. Another brilliant property is the export/convert option. I can easily convert my files to DOCX or other MS office documents.

Cons: Honestly , I do not think there are negatives or disadvantages of Acrobat Reader. I use it every day and it fulfill my needs.

Pros: This is the best software to use with your PDF of all times, simple interphase, the tools that you need, option of edition, stickers, print and security, and the most important of all it is a multidevice software, so you can use in your smartphone or tablet. This is a very lighweight software and it runs smooth, it almost never has a lag or interruption, and support heavy documents which has inside a lot of images and tables.

Cons: Maybe they can improve more tools to underlying and stickers, another software brings more option, and they can also must create a option to edit the PDF, specially the size of the fonts and the size of the tables.

Pros: Love seeing the documents in final, polished versions. Easy to access and take snapshots. Capabilities to download signing software to sign and time-stamp documents to send back to people promptly. Organized folder shows all files eligible to open with Reader.

Cons: Dislike the lack of editing capabilities without downloading Adobe Acrobat Editor, which costs extra... and requires a subscription! I would use Editor ALL THE TIME... but, with READER, I lack most editing capabilities. I'd rather some of those functions from Editor be applied to Reader, so I don't need to move between programs to modify a document. Also, Snapshot is great but could be more flexible.

Overall: Love it for its convenience and Snapshot option. Dislike the lack of ability to edit documents.

Pros: The organization that gives you to have the PDF files is unique since it does not let you modify anything in the texts in order to maintain the originality of the file, with this we get more reliability when sending important documents to ensure that they are not altered for the readers it is excellent since the fluidity when advancing in the content is very good.

Cons: What I do not like is that sometimes does not let me copy the text that is there, the rest seems to me to be an excellent application and delivers many benefits to the administrative sector

Overall: Extraordinary application. All the texts that I need to read I do through this application and all the catalogs that I need to study for my profession is much more comfortable for me through the PDF. I recommend it 100%

I have been using Adobe professionally for three years.

Pros: I love the ease of functionality that Acrobat Reader DC provides. The software is very clear in how to organize and combine files, as well as sending for signatures and signing official documents. I especially like all of the tools which comes with Adobe Reader DC in editing documents. You can even create your own custom tool. I believe that this software is essential for all offices and would definitely recommend it to those who prefer e-signatures and reducing their carbon footprint.

Cons: The thing that I like least about the Acrobat Reader DC software would be that occasionally the software can crash. However, this may be due to the amount of files I am editing on the software rather than the software itself to be fair.

Pros: I love all of the features in this software! I can lean back in a chair and read my PDF with the best magnification possible! I can create PDFs and convert files to PDFs. This software is really good and I look forward to working more with it.

Cons: At times, you can be limited on what you can do because you need the advanced versions. If they decreased the fees, then that would be a great.

Overall: I use Acrobat Reader DC for all of my PDFs! I have read and edited PDFs for a lot of files over the years. This software was really helpful to me throughout my college years. There were times when purchasing a digital file was cheaper than a textbook. There would be other times when the textbook was a lot cheaper if it was an older textbook. I am grateful to Adobe for creating this! It is truly a treat to have at all times.
