### "Adobe Gets it Done!"

April 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader has been very positive, especially for working with PDFs in a smooth and reliable way. It makes viewing and navigating documents effortless, while also supporting easy editing and creation of PDFs without disrupting formatting. Converting and importing other document types into polished PDFs is seamless, which helps maintain a professional look across files. I also find it particularly effective for sharing documents for signatures, with straightforward tools that make sending, tracking, and completing e-signatures simple and efficient. Even when making edits like adding text or annotations, the tools feel intuitive and integrate well with existing content, helping documents stay clean and well-structured. Overall, it’s a dependable, user-friendly platform for managing PDFs from creation through final distribution.

Pros

What I like most about Adobe Acrobat Reader is how reliable and easy it is for everyday PDF use. It opens files quickly, keeps formatting consistent, and handles everything from simple reading to filling out forms and adding signatures without hassle. The interface is clean enough that I don’t have to hunt for basic tools, but it still offers more advanced features when I need them. I also appreciate how well it integrates across devices, so I can pick up where I left off. Overall, it strikes a good balance between simplicity and functionality, making it a dependable go-to for working with PDFs.

Cons

What I like least is that editing PDFs can feel restrictive, with limited control over font, color, and the precise placement of new text boxes relative to existing content.

### "Mostly great, sometimes a challenge..."

February 23, 2026

4.0

Fairly user friendly, but seems like features frequently have glitches or difficulty in determining how to go about making the edits I would like.

Pros

Used across all kinds of fields for all purposes. Most people versed on its use, comfortable with accessing.

Cons

I currently dislike the feature of opening photos as a PDF, which requires me to use my Adobe subscription to export the created PDF as a jpeg file when it started out as an image file. Can't find a setting to change it.

### "Awful, clunky, obstructive, pervasive and persistent. Avoid if possible."

March 7, 2026

2.0

Frustrating, and ultimately I switched to PDF Express for the versatility, cost and utility. If I could surgically excise Adobe from my PC and Android phone completely, I would, but it's like a leech.

Pros

It's widespread and easy to access - most people and companies know it and can format products using it.

Cons

Everything else. It's pervasive so if I want to use another product, it insists on insinuating into startup. The interface is so different from Microsoft products, and so unhelpfully obstructive or limited, that I found working with it frustrating. Saving files is a pain. Why mess with something that worked (ie the MS Word-like save dialogue, that Acrobat USED to use?). Highlighting function is very glitchy. And updating to the full package Acrobat is glitchy, most functions go unused, and its no better.

Switched from

[Soda PDF](https://www.capterra.com/p/226942/SODA-PDF/)

I wouldn't have, but it was necessitated by a switch into a new laptop and compatability issues. Soda PDF (and what I use now, PDF Express) are so much more versatile and user friendly - and cheaper.

### "nice tool..."

April 13, 2026

Features such as highlighting, sticky notes, and the Fill & Sign tool are frequently cited as easy to use and essential for daily digital paperwork

Pros

It is the industry standard for reading PDFs, ensuring that documents look exactly the same across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.Users often highlight its robustness, noting that it rarely crashes even when handling large or complex files compared to basic browser-based viewers

Cons

Users frequently report that the application is "bloated," often consuming significant system memory (RAM) and causing slow loading times, even on powerful hardware.

### "Industry standard and very reliable, but not the cheapest."

March 29, 2026

4.0

Pros

Works everywhere consistently across operating systems. And has a good record of document security. Excellent for signing PDFs and filling out forms. The free version does a good range of basic features making it easy to get started.

Cons

It does use a fair bit of system resources which makes it feel heavier than some 3d party apps that offer similar functions.

### "Reliable and Essential PDF Viewer for Everyday Use"

April 10, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader has been very positive. It’s a dependable and easy-to-use tool for opening, viewing, and managing PDF documents across different devices. I especially appreciate how consistently it preserves formatting and layout, which makes reading files stress-free. The annotation features like highlighting and commenting are also helpful for studying and reviewing documents.

Pros

What I liked most about Adobe Acrobat Reader is how reliable and easy it is for viewing and managing PDF files. It opens documents quickly and preserves formatting perfectly, which makes reading and sharing files very convenient. I also appreciated useful features like highlighting, commenting, and filling out forms, which make it more than just a basic reader. Its compatibility across devices ensures I can access important documents anywhere, which is especially helpful for school and work.

Cons

What I liked least about Adobe Acrobat Reader is that many of its more advanced features, such as editing PDFs or converting files, require a paid subscription. This can feel limiting for users who only use the free version.

### "Dissapointed and annoyed"

March 16, 2026

2.0

Not so good. Very annoying pushes and constant info boxes "would you like this, would you like that". I just have to use it and Adobe makes a drama out of it.

Pros

You have to use it for some administrative/procurment processes. It is recognised in corporate and public sector.

Cons

It is obligatory for many administrative purposes to use PDF's and that's the only reason I use Adobe Acrobat Reader. The constant pushes: to implement in browser, to implement in files, to use extra features - it's really overwhelming and makes work with it really horrible. It wants you to save file while none changes has been made. It wants you to pay if you want to save WORD file into PDF, whlie this feature in Microsoft is free of charge. I would love to see an alternative, even paid one, just to see this product gone, because it is really not easy to use. The last example - when trying to find a type of signature, you need to pick from several features in menu without any help icons of whatsoever - it is really annoying for a typical user. Maybe, maybe, this product is for top notch specialists in... document signing. IDK. Good luck.

### "Pros and cons of Adobe"

April 20, 2026

5.0

Very critical tool that is used daily in our organization. Almost all documents are converted to PDF's.

Pros

This program allows us to export filed that are able to be in the read only status so customers are not able to edit these files.

Cons

When having the option to edit PDF's, this can be difficult to navigate. It can be complicated to edit the information.

### "Adobe Acrobat Reader is One of the Best PDF Readers Out There"

April 24, 2026

4.0

Overall, this is a great simple program to use and is strictly used for viewing PDFs. This program runs well and does not seem to require a lot of computer resources and does not slow down with heavy files. A tried-and-true software.

Pros

I like how easy and simple Adobe Acrobat Reader is to use for viewing PDFs. There is nothing too complicated about it and can be easily used without much training involved.

Cons

What I like least about Adobe Acrobat Reader is just that it is a simple program that does not allow much in way of editing your PDF files. It is strictly a viewer and you will need to pay for the upgraded version to do more serious editing.

### "Acrobat reader for your document needs."

November 18, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Acrobat reader has been positive. Being able to share, send and create documents all across from my own team to other practices has been essential in effective networking and communications.

Pros

Adobe acrobat reader helps me keep my medical forms accessible and editable for customizing to our patients.

Cons

The only down side is when certain documents are not compatible and I can not open in acrobat. Other than that Acrobat is our go to for all our document needs.

### "A Great Business Tool"

November 24, 2025

5.0

The way we can convert files, easily use this program, and share and upload docs with colleagues or friends makes this app so easy to work with and so nice to have to luxury of ease and simplicity with the access to do pretty much about anything within a pdf. I also found a cool fact about Adobe. They coined the termed abbreviation "PDF" back in the 90's and has now fill reign and autonomy for that term. Just pretty cool in my opinion.

Pros

I liked most how creative and invasive you can get with the documents. You can add anything you want, sort it how you want, shrink, crop, trim, even overlap with another document. In terms of a business standpoint, it is a great tool to have.

Cons

There aren't any things i can say negatively about acrobat reader, you could pretty much do anything on the document that you're editing, just be sure to save it before you exit

### "Sometimes tricky to use but brilliant"

July 25, 2025

4.0

It’s a brilliant and dependable software, I would definitely recommend it. I use it daily and most of the time I get what I need from it.

Pros

Everything needed for a PDF is in Adobe, obviously because they developed it, so it can’t really compare with other websites that allow for PDF editing. It is the master program to use for a PDF, and is completely dependable.

Cons

I’ve had some issues of different sized pages in a PDF, and to correct it takes 6 clicks to get to the solution, and I don’t even think it worked as it needed. I know Acrobat is fully capable of doing what I need it to, but I think I would like it to be as interactive friendly as Photoshop or Illustrator, where I feel more in control.

### "Industry Standard for a reason"

June 16, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader has been positive. The software is easy to use and I primarily use it for PDF editing and viewing.

Pros

I like how adobe opens PDFs. I also like that I can set it to be my default application. Lastly, I like the conversion functionality in adobe as I often get PDFs which needed to be converted to spreadsheets.

Cons

I have no dislikes to provide about Adobe Acrobat Reader. The free version is very useful, and the added functionality in the paid version is worth the nominal extra charge.

Very good overall, it is great for making and editing pdf's and make marketing material and sales flyers

Pros

We use adobe every single day for processing our documents and editing PDF files. It is a very good program for making small edits and creating documents

Cons

### "I love the simplicity "

July 30, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been positive and it has been a helpful tool for my personal and professional needs

Pros

I love that I can get documents signed regardless of being far away from those I am working with. It is very easy to use and implement as soon as it is paid for (or the free version). I can easily change file types and adapt different kinds of documents to be worked with. It is affordable.

Cons

I do not find any big cons but sometimes it can be cumbersome to get documents into the reader if they are not in an easily readable format.

### "Adobe Acrobat Reader is a very useful and easy to use application/program."

April 1, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with this app/program is excellent despite what I mentioned. I use it daily and I have nothing to complain about, only praise. I especially recommend anyone to use this amazing app.

Pros

What I really liked about the app/program, besides being free, is its compatibility with several devices, be they: Android, iOS, Windows and MacOS. And it is also very easy to use.

Cons

What I didn't like so much is that the free version is a bit limited, not being able to edit PDFs and therefore having to purchase Acrobat Pro. I also noticed that some features require internet access, it would be nice if they didn't. Also the price for the plans is a bit "salty" but I understand that the application needs an income to keep working properly.

### "acrobat has some tricks"

May 28, 2025

4.0

Not a bad experience but it can definitely be improved by upgrades. It tends to act like malware in my computer at this point. But I am in need of the application.

Pros

I like how customizable you can make this product. You can dissect almost anything from any page and edit it,

Cons

How glitchy and laggy it can be. It tends to be finicky and have bug like tendancies when you try to save or quit certain pages.
