### "Solid PDF Reader with Limited Free Features"

June 13, 2026

5.0

Adobe Acrobat Reader offers good ease of use with a simple interface for viewing and basic editing PDFs. It provides reliable PDF document management and useful signature and signing tools for everyday tasks. However, its file conversion and advanced features are limited without a paid plan, which affects overall value for money. Customer support is helpful but mainly geared toward paid users. Overall, it works well for basic PDF needs but feels limited for advanced use.

Pros

VALUE FOR MONEY Adobe Acrobat Reader is a solid free option for basic PDF viewing and commenting, but many advanced tools (like full editing and advanced conversions) require a paid upgrade, which can feel expensive for casual users.

Cons

What I liked least about Adobe Acrobat Reader is that many of the most useful tools are locked behind a paid subscription. Features like full file conversion and advanced editing are limited in the free version, which affects overall value for money. It can also feel a bit restricted when you need more than just basic PDF viewing and signing.

### "nice tool..."

April 13, 2026

5.0

Features such as highlighting, sticky notes, and the Fill & Sign tool are frequently cited as easy to use and essential for daily digital paperwork

Pros

It is the industry standard for reading PDFs, ensuring that documents look exactly the same across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.Users often highlight its robustness, noting that it rarely crashes even when handling large or complex files compared to basic browser-based viewers

Cons

Users frequently report that the application is "bloated," often consuming significant system memory (RAM) and causing slow loading times, even on powerful hardware.

### "Mostly great, sometimes a challenge..."

February 23, 2026

4.0

Fairly user friendly, but seems like features frequently have glitches or difficulty in determining how to go about making the edits I would like.

Pros

Used across all kinds of fields for all purposes. Most people versed on its use, comfortable with accessing.

Cons

I currently dislike the feature of opening photos as a PDF, which requires me to use my Adobe subscription to export the created PDF as a jpeg file when it started out as an image file. Can't find a setting to change it.

### "Industry standard and very reliable, but not the cheapest."

March 29, 2026

4.0

Pros

Works everywhere consistently across operating systems. And has a good record of document security. Excellent for signing PDFs and filling out forms. The free version does a good range of basic features making it easy to get started.

Cons

It does use a fair bit of system resources which makes it feel heavier than some 3d party apps that offer similar functions.

### "Reliable and Essential PDF Viewer for Everyday Use"

April 10, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader has been very positive. It’s a dependable and easy-to-use tool for opening, viewing, and managing PDF documents across different devices. I especially appreciate how consistently it preserves formatting and layout, which makes reading files stress-free. The annotation features like highlighting and commenting are also helpful for studying and reviewing documents.

Pros

What I liked most about Adobe Acrobat Reader is how reliable and easy it is for viewing and managing PDF files. It opens documents quickly and preserves formatting perfectly, which makes reading and sharing files very convenient. I also appreciated useful features like highlighting, commenting, and filling out forms, which make it more than just a basic reader. Its compatibility across devices ensures I can access important documents anywhere, which is especially helpful for school and work.

Cons

What I liked least about Adobe Acrobat Reader is that many of its more advanced features, such as editing PDFs or converting files, require a paid subscription. This can feel limiting for users who only use the free version.

### "Dissapointed and annoyed"

March 16, 2026

2.0

Not so good. Very annoying pushes and constant info boxes "would you like this, would you like that". I just have to use it and Adobe makes a drama out of it.

Pros

You have to use it for some administrative/procurment processes. It is recognised in corporate and public sector.

Cons

It is obligatory for many administrative purposes to use PDF's and that's the only reason I use Adobe Acrobat Reader. The constant pushes: to implement in browser, to implement in files, to use extra features - it's really overwhelming and makes work with it really horrible. It wants you to save file while none changes has been made. It wants you to pay if you want to save WORD file into PDF, whlie this feature in Microsoft is free of charge. I would love to see an alternative, even paid one, just to see this product gone, because it is really not easy to use. The last example - when trying to find a type of signature, you need to pick from several features in menu without any help icons of whatsoever - it is really annoying for a typical user. Maybe, maybe, this product is for top notch specialists in... document signing. IDK. Good luck.

### "A whole new World of transporting docs"

July 29, 2025

5.0

The more I use it and learn more of what it is capable of accomplishing it is amazing. It helps save me so much time.

Pros

The Ability to separate paychecks and then encrypt to email off to the employees, saving a lot of money on having to buy encryption software.

Cons

It becomes slow at times when trying to accomplish too much at one time. And some documents take a while to transpose.

### "A Great Business Tool"

November 24, 2025

5.0

The way we can convert files, easily use this program, and share and upload docs with colleagues or friends makes this app so easy to work with and so nice to have to luxury of ease and simplicity with the access to do pretty much about anything within a pdf. I also found a cool fact about Adobe. They coined the termed abbreviation "PDF" back in the 90's and has now fill reign and autonomy for that term. Just pretty cool in my opinion.

Pros

I liked most how creative and invasive you can get with the documents. You can add anything you want, sort it how you want, shrink, crop, trim, even overlap with another document. In terms of a business standpoint, it is a great tool to have.

Cons

There aren't any things i can say negatively about acrobat reader, you could pretty much do anything on the document that you're editing, just be sure to save it before you exit

### "Adorable and Efficient Adobe"

December 21, 2025

5.0

It is an app that has served me well in my years of work as a project manager. I use it everyday, for both work related, and personal use. It is easily one of my most used apps.

Pros

It has made getting approvals quite fast and easy for me. It opens up pretty fast and it is easy to use.

Cons

In as much as it initiates pretty fast, it doesn't do well with large files, and takes a while before it opens such file up.

### "Easy to use."

February 19, 2026

4.0

It has been a great experience. I believe it just needs a littkle adjustments. For example making the editing option easy to use and improve on customisation features.

Pros

It is easy to use with minimal interruptions. It does not have a lot of pop ip advertisements compared to others.

Cons

Inability to edit my document easily. I can't easily edit my document as it seems very complicated to do so in Adobe Acrobat.

### "Solid Performance for Everyday PDF Use"

August 4, 2025

4.0

Overall, Adobe Acrobat Reader is a dependable tool for viewing and reviewing PDFs. While it’s not as feature-rich in its free version, it remains the industry standard and is easy to use for day-to-day document access and annotations.

Pros

Features like bookmarks, zoom, and page thumbnails make large documents easier to manage. It opens PDF files quickly and accurately without formatting issues. The core functionality (viewing, printing, basic markup) is accessible without a subscription.

Cons

Editing, converting, or signing PDFs often requires upgrading to Acrobat Pro. The interface includes many options that aren't usable unless you subscribe.

### "Honest individual review"

May 28, 2025

5.0

Adobe Acrobat Reader has been super reliable for all my PDF needs. It's easy to navigate, and features like commenting and signing documents make life so much easier. Definitely a must have tool for anyone who deals with digital paperwork.

Pros

It's super reliable! Never had issues opening any kind of PDF. I also love how smooth the commenting and highlighting tools are, especially for reviewing documents quickly.

Cons

Honestly, the one thing that bothers me most about Adobe Acrobat Reader is how heavy it feels sometimes. It can be slow to open or respond, especially on older devices. I just wish it were a bit more lightweight and snappy.

### "Adobe as a Daily Tool "

January 4, 2026

Pros

It’s hard not to use it still today. I find it very useful as a tool that digitizes documentation, and allows me to access important documents anytime.

Cons

I guess that some functionalities are only available if you have a paid subscription, but then you only find out at the end.

December 11, 2025

It is already heading on the right direction, I totally appreciate its features even though, I met some bugs sometimes I run it.

Pros

I like the way it demonstrates the PDF files within normal or dark mode and still editable as you wanted. It is simple to use, either you a beginner or not

Cons

The size of the Application is still heavy. Every now and then it bugs as you run many tasks on it as you read or edit the file

### "Industry Standard for a reason"

June 16, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader has been positive. The software is easy to use and I primarily use it for PDF editing and viewing.

Pros

I like how adobe opens PDFs. I also like that I can set it to be my default application. Lastly, I like the conversion functionality in adobe as I often get PDFs which needed to be converted to spreadsheets.

Cons

I have no dislikes to provide about Adobe Acrobat Reader. The free version is very useful, and the added functionality in the paid version is worth the nominal extra charge.

### "User of Adobe Daily"

June 2, 2025

5.0

Overall, I appreciate the features I use most like adding stamps, organizing pages, combining documents, and preparing forms and signing them. I love being able to mark up reports with comments and highlighting information for the receiver who needs a little more detail about certain items.

Pros

I most appreciate that I can convert my documents into fillable pdfs. It helps so much to send forms fillable to new employees and employees needing to fill out their benefit forms.

Cons

I find it frustrating when I have saved something to an Adobe PDF and then also have to scan it for readable so I can write on it.

October 15, 2025

Very good overall, it is great for making and editing pdf's and make marketing material and sales flyers

Pros

We use adobe every single day for processing our documents and editing PDF files. It is a very good program for making small edits and creating documents

Cons

There is some error or issues with getting signed in and staying signed in. Sometimes it logs me out for no reason.

### "Acrobat and ME"

July 10, 2025

4.0

I have been using Acrobat Reader for several years and it does the job it is meant to do. Open PDF's, Sign PDF's with ease of use.

Pros

I like the app better than the web version of opening .pdf's. Free is always good. This is a good tool to have in your arsenal. The Look and feel just seem right. This app has been the universal go to App for PDF documents since I can remember.

Cons

I don't like the fact that if I have a Acrobat Pro version installed I am required to sign in to Acrobat Pro instead of just opening the Reader version.

Reason for choosing Adobe Acrobat Reader

Ease of signing contracts from an iPad is slightly better I feel.

### "Can’t go wrong with Adobe! "

July 4, 2025

5.0

I’ve been using Adobe for my entire professional life, and even before that. I’ve never had an issue, and don’t think I ever will!

Pros

PDF is how I, and most, prefer to share documents for review, feedback, or otherwise. I’ve always appreciated how easy Adobe is to use.

Cons

Some of the functions, like signing a document, are hard to figure out the first time. Luckily, once you figure it out, you never forget.

### "Best in class product with many flaws"

August 6, 2025

3.0

Acrobat remains the gold standard for serious PDF work and is worth it if you edit, secure, or sign documents regularly. If you mostly just read PDFs, use something like ilovepdf.

Pros

Acrobat is still the safest bet if you live in PDFs. Creation, OCR, form-filling, redaction, commenting, compare, and e-sign are all first-rate and reliably preserve formatting where lighter tools stumble. It’s also great for accessibility checks and batch tasks, and for converting and combining files.

Cons

the subscription isn’t cheap, the app can feel heavy and slow to launch on modest machines, and the interface can be cluttered, with tools moving around after updates. The insistence on sign-ins/upsells and the Reader vs. Acrobat vs. web flow can be confusing.

Pros

Very versatile, use it every day to process multiple documents I need to work with; allowing me to save them, to modify them, combine them, it's always good to use.
