Cons The cost could be a little lower for the Pro account, but really the only complaint I can think of besides the cost is the font on conversions is sometimes distorted or completely wrong. Pros This software is excellent for sharing files and ensuring that they have not been modified, on the other hand it is a global standard and this makes it possible for anyone to read the document by installing a minimum of software requirements Cons In my personal experience it seems to me that the important functionalities of the software are not installed with the free versions of the product so you have to invest a little more than you think to be able to use the important improvements of the product, on the other hand it has been quite tedious the fact that every week a part and/or version of the software comes out and the operating system constantly asks for updates. They have allowed me to sign, combine documents, make contracts readable from simple scans. I would advise anybody to utilize this program to make your life easier. Pros There is so many features that I love about adobe but the one thing that I really do appreciate about the software is the fact that I am able to combine documents so easy. In addition to us transitioning to remote operations Adobe has made it very easy for us to utilize electronics signatures that has allowed processes and procedures to continue with ease. Cons There is not so much of any con that I have for this software. It is quite easy to use the developers were very cognizant of what the end-user Whitney and the features that would make their lives much more easier. There are a few things about it that I am not entirely thrilled with but that is something you will encounter with anything. The software is pretty easy to use and I have only had to consult the internet once to figure out how to do something. Otherwise it has been pretty easy to figure things out by simple trial and error (without feeling like throwing the computer out a window). Pros I love that I can take an existing document, scan it or save it, and then edit it as I need. I can completely change a form without having to start from scratch on a blank document. There are quite a few editing options for forms like making certain fields mandatory to fill out that I love. Cons Some functionality just stops dead. It’s almost like you get to a point that you want to change or add something and the software just says NO. There are a lot of options that can be a bit overwhelming and some of the updates have made some previous functionality nonexistent. For example, if you have to sign a form and email it, you MUST save it first whereas before you could sign and send without saving. At the time, since there was no (at least at the time) desktop application for Linux, I had to migrate a tool. It was then that I discovered that there were much better alternatives to this tool. Pros It has a large suite of Adobe tools that work well in an integrated way. Apart from that, I honestly don't consider it a good alternative. When it comes to handling PDF files, whether for reading or editing, I believe there are better alternatives on the market. Cons The worst of Adobe's problems in my opinion is the lack of Desktop application in the Linux OS. For instance, a station will send me the times that a particular client's spots are airing, and the client will want to see them as well. However, sometimes the stations will send the times along with an unnecessary amount of information that we don't want to bother the client with. In the past, we used to have to take the PDFs and print them, get rid of the unnecessary information, scan it back into the system and then send to the client. Now that I have this software, I have the ability to convert and edit the PDF with the touch of a button. This is a much better use of my time, and takes a lot of the aggravation out of having to edit the PDFs of multiple stations and markets. Cons So far, I have not had any issues with this software at all. Sometimes if opening/editing a large PDF it takes longer to render than I would like, but it is certainly a manageable and acceptable amount of time. Review Source vS vgc S. Pros I fell in love with pdfs a while back. The greatest appeal for me was, especially in the earlier days of word processing, I could share files without worrying about the page margin or other formatting aspects being altered by the recipient's software. Adobe Acrobat was the only pdf software I knew at the time. It may have been the only one around at the time. I'm not sure. But it did just what I needed and I was happy for that. Over the years, I have seen other pdf software come on stream but they always feel like a knock off or bootleg version. Adobe Acrobat's interface is crisp and clean and offers very useful features (most of which I honestly haven't used). Adobe reader is available for every OS out there and for all devices and no other software can compete with it especially on mobile devices. Cons The editor feature is a bit expensive if you want to use it especially for editing pdf docs and conversion features. It also lacks the snapshot feature which is available in Foxit reader and is one of the best feature for making presentations. But it's still best in the market for it's vast availability. Pros The ability to edit PDFs is of course the most frequently used feature in Adobe Acrobat Reader. To be able to tweak PDFs in subtle ways is super valuable, and can save huge amounts of time. But while other software can provide those features, Acrobat shines in its ability to read text and convert to other formats. It is a HUGE time saver to be able to convert a PDF into a PowerPoint. Even more helpful has been converting pricing sheets and other data tables into a Microsoft Excel version. Truly, the cost of the software is offset by the hours of data entry that this saves. Cons At times it is cumbersome to swap between some of the apps, and the conversion features aren't at 100%. When I upload PDF files on social media or on our chat group, the document is available for all to read. I even sign my documents on Adobe Reader DC only now. I receive a lot of separate word documents which I then combine to a single PDF file via Adobe Reader DC Pros Adobe Reader DC, in my opinion, is the best product by Adobe. Very easy to use and edit already created documents. Adobe Reader DC allows you to be creative and is great on digital platforms. Documents are opened very quickly and are compatible with every operating system. There is even a mobile application which helps in editing documents directly from your phone. One of the best features about this software is that you can digitally sign your documents and then lock it as well so it can't be edited. Converting files from PDF to Word Docs is also very easy. Cons A lot of features at Adobe Reader DC can be used when you sign in with your Adobe ID which has a monthly subscription fee. Also, I believe Adobe constantly updates this product with a newer version and I have spent a lot of time updating the product because of which I have to delay editing/viewing my PDF documents. I know there are other free alternatives available that you could use (and I have occasional tried Foxit) but I tend to find Acrobat the most reliable of them. Pros Like, the old Apple ad used to say - It just works. I have been using this for close to 10 years now and I would be hard pressed to find faults with it. It does exactly what you expect it to do (open PDF files) and I cant remember ever having any major problems with it. It is perfect for signing online documents, you can do it with a few short clicks. Also works across devices beautifully, I use it on my personal Mac, office Windows PC and my tablet. Simple to use and excellent interface. Cons The only real problem I have occasionally run into is with some PDF files that are password protected. Occasionally it kinda locks up when I try to open one of those. But its pretty rare and I wouldnt really call it an issue.
