Pros I love how easy it is to fill, sign and send documents for signatures. I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC daily to send payment requests to my supervisor. It was very easy to set up and help other team members learn how to sign and submit documents. Cons Sometimes I run into errors where I am locked out of my account and unable to use the Sign feature. I have been able to figure out solutions, but these errors halt productivity when they happen, which is rare. Could be used just as PDF reader, but also can be much more. Good for personal and work use. Definitely would recommend. Pros By far the best PDF reader on the market. My laptop wouldn't accept any other, whenever I tried to install it. Adobe helps me a lot with opening and reading PDF files, since it's crucial for my job. Never had any problems with it. Opens files blisteringly fast, in high resolution, which allows me to print them out, on a daily basis. Helps out a lot especially with opening email attachments. I personally use it privately, separate from my job. It has best price/quality ratio and is only PDF reader I would personally pay for. Cons When I first started using it, It was difficult for me to get around Acrobat. Some tools I had no clue where to find them, needed a YouTube tutorial on them. I used it during my grad studies, in my work and other situations when I needed to view, edit, sign and work with PDF documents. The program is very intuitive, fast, simple and multi-functional. I love its layout and the easily accessible tool collection. The new updated interface is very comfortable to work with and you can also get a mobile app and share the documents between your desktop and mobile device, which, in my case, has come in handy when I had to quickly scan something or didn’t have access to a computer at that moment. Cons Sometimes if you have multiple PDF files open in one session it can slow down considerably. This is probably due to a lack of memory on the PC. Also opening larger PDF files can sometimes take a long time, I would say 10-15 seconds. Also each of the addons for Reader require you to purchase the software to unlock them. Annotating them, commenting inside them and highlighting parts I like and striking off parts that I do not. This software make all of this extremely easy and on top of that, it allows the content writers of my organisation to directly upload them to Adobe Cloud so that I can go through them no matter on which device I am currently logged into and no matter where I am. Cons It has a huge size especially the mobile applications are huge and extremely resource hungry causing it to sometimes crashing abruptly especially while dealing with larger files. I mostly like the annotations tool, as well as the Fill and Sign tool. Fill and Sign was something I always wanted in the past, something so simple that saves a lot of time and effort, instead of having to print, fill, sign and then scan and email someone. Cons I don't like the fact that you can't do basic editing to some things, like covering a field or something. Could be for security reasons, but could have a workaround. Another thing I don't like is when part of the text cannot be copied - even in some pdf documents that are not locked. The copy field shows up when right clicking, but it doesn't copy. If you are a big reader like I am, you can read your favorite books on a tablet or a phone. As a great plus, when you close Adobe on a mobile device and open it later, application will automatically remember the exact place where you paused your reading, so you don’t need to manually search for it.
