### "Its just what you need to deal with PDF docs"

June 5, 2019

5.0

Adobe is the best software to use when handling PDF docs and I would recommend people to try out the premium version because of its endless features.

Pros

I have been using Adobe reader for years now and it's the best software to use when dealing with PDF documents . The Acrobat reader is easy to use and I love the endless features it has being able to zoom in a document, editing of a PDF documents converting to PDF and many more awesome features especially if you are using the premium version. I love the fact that Acrobat reader has it own cloud where your docs can be stored making organising of files easy. I love the way I can use images, graphs and text to create one PDF doc.

Cons

I think Adobe Acrobat has a few flaws like the price is a bit high for a premium version and you can’t get editing features and other cool features with the free version. Then the other issue is that the system tends to get slow if you get to open large files this might be on my computer but it usually happens.

### "The best app for reading and editing PDF "

January 30, 2023

5.0

In my general view of Adobe Acrobat Reader is favorable.

Pros

I rely on it for routine office tasks such as printing files to pdf, signing documents, scanning and editing pdf files in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. It's available for download on almost everything. It has excellent editing capabilities and printing quality features. If you are printing any word/browser files, it also has a save as portable document format file option.

Cons

It does not always work if I'm not the manager, and I have trouble understanding the verbiage or wording. It's inconvenient to use, and I despise using software that requires Abode. The only criticism I have is that the price is slightly higher than that of some of its competitors. To save money, the company where I work switched software.

### "very great software for read and edit PDF"

November 25, 2018

5.0

I use the program every day at work and I feel great. it's really easy to use, for everyone.

Pros

it is a great tool for reading and reviewing PDF documents. It is easy to use, very intuitive and is compatible with Mac and Windows. Documents can be saved and shared on the Adobe Document Cloud, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox. The software allows you to edit PDF documents and through the function ""fill out"" you can insert text boxes, highlight or highlight the text and incorporate the signature to the documents. The software works smoothly and quickly, it does not slow down the system, but for particularly heavy files it could happen to have problems.

Cons

At the moment I can not find any negative aspects, but if it were possible to split the files or merge them, I would avoid using online platforms that do this every time.

### "The Old and The Reliable. "

October 19, 2018

5.0

I've been using it to read by PDFs in my smartphone, my desktop, my office laptop. This is the one that I prefer when it comes to viewing and editing PDFs. I also use it to scan the resumes and application forms that need to be saved for documentation purposes.

Pros

1\. Viewing PDFs was never so easy - It's quick. The zooming in and out works smoothly and there are multiple viewing modes as per your convenience. 2. Adding Comments - One of the most useful feature perhaps. You can add comments, sticky notes and even highlight the important words/points. 3. Easy Collaboration - Since it is available across all platforms, sharing files is very simple and easy. 4. Scan Documents - My favorite feature about this is the ability that it gives to scan the documents and convert them into PDFs and thus, erase the need for hard copy and also lets you preserve the document for future use.

Cons

There's nothing much to dislike about it and I honestly didn't come across any con while using it. It's a great software overall!

### "Read at your own comfort"

July 11, 2019

4.0

This application makes our reading more easy and comfortable. And it is compatible for many operating systems such as windows, Android, and IOS as well. We can use this software to add feedbacks and comments in the documents too. However using the full version can give you extremely good features such as, reviewing, measuring the dimensions, and sharing the documents.

Pros

The best part of this software is, we can get it free and most of the major features are available for free version. Especially highlighting the texts and removing the highlights is a really positive feature. And another incredible feature is, many documents can be read and edit at the same time in new tabs which can really save the working time. The ‘find’ text option also a helpful tool which we can use to find our texts immediately. And the documents quality is also very high though we are managing many files at a same time.

Cons

The least likely part of this software is, its full version cost much. And the full version has really great features like converting to word document, editing the PDF files, and combing the files. But, due to the high cost of that version, many people are losing the advantages of that. And when you are using very large files, the software starts to slow down.

### "I love Acrobat Reader."

June 25, 2018

5.0

Pros

I like the simplicity of the Acrobat reader user interface, and how I am able to make multiple changes to my PDF documents in the same program and directly on my pc. Without the need to leverage on external applications or software I love how I just can edit, sign, fill, export, create, combine, stamp, measure, add certificates, organize pages, censor, protect, optimize, prepare forms, compare files, customize them, and much more, all this a single program and with the quality that Adobe always offers.

Cons

I have no complaints regarding Adobe Reader DC, it is the most complete version of this software, it has all the options that a professional requires, it has no limitations, and removes the need to invest my time using external applications, since all the options what you need are in AR.

### "Best PDF Reader"

February 23, 2020

4.0

I think it's a very solid PDF reader and editor, making it the best in the market. It includes every feature you need.

Pros

Installation is very fast . It has a nice extension for Google Chrome that allows you to easily open recently downloaded files in Acrobat Reader. The highlighting feature is a must if you are reading ebooks or big files. The pro version allows you to edit files which is really nice because you can save a lot of time and effort, especially if your work requires scanning documents.

Cons

For some reason the program would not open at times and twice I had to uninstall the program and install it again for it to finally start working. Besides that, the only con I could find is that the mouse cursor can be hard to use within the highlighting feature, so highlighting exactly what you want is difficult sometimes

### "The best PDF reader ever!"

September 11, 2018

5.0

Acrobat Reader is part of my daily tasks. All the time I'm reading a PDF document or exporting my documents to PDF, so it's my work partner!

Pros

Adobe Reader is a well known PDF reader, it's the most used and have the best features on the market. With the paid version you can even edit PDF documents and save it again. It also supports DRM (Digital Rights Management) so you can protect your document before sending it to another person.

Cons

The interface should me more customizable. I don't use and don't intend to use some of the features, but it keeps on screen every time I open a PDF document. There is some tricky ways to get rid of some of the panels, by editing registry and / or deleting some files, but its not that easy, I guess some people which has not too much computer knowledge can suffer to remove the undesired options.

Pros

the pdf conversion and pdf reading experience has been great in adobe acrobat reader. the data storage is safe and secure. the text editing tools are great whether it be adding text or comments. the highlighting is also good with many color options.

Cons

the data import and the file import and saving feels slow and that needs to be fastened. the document management also needs to be worked upon.

### "Basic Features Are Helpful"

November 7, 2018

5.0

Adobe is easy to use and is really the only document reader I have to view PDFs on. You can save PDFs and read them offline (PDFs that are viewed online might have trouble being viewed offline).

Pros

Adobe offers a free download with a set of basic features. You can use Adobe to open and read PDFs. You are able to search for specific words and highlight. Features you have to pay for are potentially worth it -- specifically the combining files feature. More often than not in the business world, you will have many documents that are in need of being combined and rather than printing out every document and then rescanning to make it a single file, Adobe does it for you. You can also choose which pages to go where etc.

Cons

The pages are off. The document might say "page 7" but using Adobe it says page 5 or page 9. Can get confusing at times.

### "The PDF Reader You Need"

March 27, 2019

5.0

I Have never been disappointed since the day I upgraded my Acrobat Reader DC. This is my favourite pdf reader ever.

Pros

I have been using Acrobat Reader DC for about 2 years now. I started with the Adobe Reader but immediately I noticed the new update I have to switch immediately because I'm going to have the opportunity to edit any pdf document. The Acrobat Reader Dc gives me a lot of functionality to edit, create, modify any pdf document. The most amazing part of this new update is that you can secure your pdf file and share it with your team at work. This is the best pdf reader I have ever used.

Cons

This software actually gives me the opportunity to convert Microsoft Word Office into a portable PDF ready without missing any text and the size is not always heavy and it's easy to access always also through the cloud.

### "The Ultimate PDF Reader!"

December 1, 2018

5.0

My overall experience with Acrobat Reader DC has been fantastic! I often create PDFs through programs like Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, and I absolutely love how the files translate and carry over, preventing my files from being changed and/or edited once they are sent out.

Pros

This an extremely reliable PDF reader that I frequently use for all of my jobs (yes, I have a few). There are plenty of readers out there, but they don't quite measure up. The files translate easily on multiple and a variety of devices, which makes it super easy for someone like me that is desktop, laptop, and mobile with most of my documents.

Cons

I find it difficult to identify an element about this software that I don't like. I suppose if I had to choose something I would say that because it is a free software it is limited in its capabilities, such as editing files.

### "Everyone's favourite PDF viewer"

May 10, 2019

4.0

At work, we've all grown accustomed to sending and viewing documents in PDF format. This usually helps in preventing format mistakes that can occur from opening documents in other formats on a different computer. For example, if I send you a document file (.doc, .docx etc) there's a high chance you would open the file on a system with different settings from mine. This means that you could end up viewing a document that wasn't exactly what I sent. This is where PDF comes into play, and Acrobat Reader DC offers the best software available to view, modify and share PDFs.

Pros

My favourite part of using this software is the ability to sign on documents electronically. We all know the drill; You receive a document, print it, scan it, then send it. Adobe Reader makes it all easier by giving you the option of signing a document while it's still on your screen! This means complete elimination of the printing and scanning process, saving a whole lot of time, effort and money (those saved pieces of paper accumulate quickly).

Cons

One major drawback is that when you open a PDF, you cannot edit the file. There are options to edit forms or sign signatures, but you can't change any text or formatting. This means you can't use Acrobat Reader for collaborative work, except all the other parties have Acrobat Reader.

### "More than a Reader"

November 26, 2019

5.0

I love the fact that I can do things like extract pages and there is now some feature that alerts the recipient if the PDF has been modified which could become very useful (ahem Birthers). I just wish some of the Pro features were available on this version. This product also plays well with all of the other related Adobe products.

Pros

This program does more than read PDF files, as it should. It allows you to fill and sign documents and there are also mobile apps that let you do the same and save to your Adobe Document Cloud account, if you have one.

Cons

Some of the things I’d like to do I need to download the Pro version of this software first. It’s not a huge problem, because I have an Adobe account so it won’t cost me more, but I don’t think something as simple as highlighting a line item should require me to download, install, and sign in to a whole new program.

### "Effective and easy"

June 13, 2023

5.0

Pros

With the free version, you can write on PDFs easily, I use it to fill forms online without printing them. With the paid version, you can edit PDFs : adding pages, moving pages inside a PDF, asking for a signature... You can write with the same font as your PDF (at least when it's a common font).

Cons

Adobe Acrobat Reader is an effective tool, it does not have a lot of functionality and I don't have a lot of expectations, so I can't say something I don't like. It would be nice if the free version included "adding pages", because I don't need features like creating a form or asking a signature.

Reason for choosing Adobe Acrobat Reader

I believe it's more secure for the confidentiality of my files

Great. Besides the small con of having to read line by line, you do not have to retype each line and it just gets converted.

Pros

Very easy to use. I use Adobe daily in our legal transcripts.

Cons

Somethings are omitted when converting over. So you do need to read line by line to make sure everything is there where it is supposed to be.

### "amazing pdf reader"

I work at a state university in my country. And in all government agencies, Adobe Acrobat Reader is used to read files in pdf format. I've been using Adobe Acrobar Reader for 19 years. And I got used to it. I don't want to use any other software either. I use this software even at home. It is my greatest help to read and edit pdf files. I've got used to all the features and know how to use it extremely effectively. It contains extremely beautiful and creative tools. Very successful in finding the words. You're making a change. Saving documents is very successful.

### "Impossible to Use"

December 1, 2021

1.0

Very Frustrating

Pros

I only need this software to open PDFs, but it is completely incapable of fulfilling this task.

Cons

As of recently, whenever opening a PDF document, it opens it in a web browser by default. I want to open it as a PDF file that I can easily send by email. Although this seems like it should be an easy fix, it is not. Originally, I was experiencing this problem on Adobe Acrobat DC. It had informed me that my trial had expired, so I then downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to try opening on there. This software also only allowed it to be opened on a browser, so I sought help on the website. I found a link that provided instructions on how to prevent PDFs from opening on a browser. However, after meticulously following the instructions step by step, I eventually reached a point where the buttons that I was told to press in the preferences tab were not even available at all for me to press on this application. I sought assistance from a chat bot which only provided me a link to seek more help. The link brought me to a customer forum, where a similar question was asked, but never answered by Adobe. I then requested to the chat bot to call a service number for help. I was brought to a page that required that I input a serial number for my product without any explanation of how I could locate such a number on my product. I have been working to solve this problem all day long and am still yet to surface a solution. I am very disappointed by how difficult this service is to use, and I will not be buying any of Adobe's products in the future.

### "You can't beat cheap as free. But for a little more you could get a lot more and better experience."

February 1, 2018

3.0

Pros

Using Adobe native software is the best way to get 100% compatibility with the range of PDF documents and forms strewn across the web. If you dig into the settings, DC's features as a viewer are quite robust. The interface meanwhile remains mostly functional, although somewhat clunky and with odd gaps in what can or cannot be customized. Were it not for resource usage issues detailed in the Cons section, it could still be as outstanding as it once was.

Cons

Adobe, like many large software publishers seems intent on testing the limits of how much questionably useful, basic functionality and interface gee-whizzery they can cram into what really should be a streamlined, lightning quick viewer app. What am I trying to say? Reader DC, far moreso than Reader XI will test the limits of your system resources, while doing basically the same job that Reader versions have done for years and years. There are free (and some open source) reader alternatives which still prioritize responsiveness. I will admit that of these alternatives, they still often seem to struggle with compatibility - using Adobe native reader is still the only way to guarantee maximum compatibility.
