### "More than a Reader"

November 26, 2019

5.0

I love the fact that I can do things like extract pages and there is now some feature that alerts the recipient if the PDF has been modified which could become very useful (ahem Birthers). I just wish some of the Pro features were available on this version. This product also plays well with all of the other related Adobe products.

Pros

This program does more than read PDF files, as it should. It allows you to fill and sign documents and there are also mobile apps that let you do the same and save to your Adobe Document Cloud account, if you have one.

Cons

Some of the things I’d like to do I need to download the Pro version of this software first. It’s not a huge problem, because I have an Adobe account so it won’t cost me more, but I don’t think something as simple as highlighting a line item should require me to download, install, and sign in to a whole new program.

### "Effective and easy"

June 13, 2023

5.0

Pros

With the free version, you can write on PDFs easily, I use it to fill forms online without printing them. With the paid version, you can edit PDFs : adding pages, moving pages inside a PDF, asking for a signature... You can write with the same font as your PDF (at least when it's a common font).

Cons

Adobe Acrobat Reader is an effective tool, it does not have a lot of functionality and I don't have a lot of expectations, so I can't say something I don't like. It would be nice if the free version included "adding pages", because I don't need features like creating a form or asking a signature.

Reason for choosing Adobe Acrobat Reader

I believe it's more secure for the confidentiality of my files

Great. Besides the small con of having to read line by line, you do not have to retype each line and it just gets converted.

Pros

Very easy to use. I use Adobe daily in our legal transcripts.

Cons

Somethings are omitted when converting over. So you do need to read line by line to make sure everything is there where it is supposed to be.

### "amazing pdf reader"

April 10, 2019

5.0

I work at a state university in my country. And in all government agencies, Adobe Acrobat Reader is used to read files in pdf format. I've been using Adobe Acrobar Reader for 19 years. And I got used to it. I don't want to use any other software either. I use this software even at home. It is my greatest help to read and edit pdf files. I've got used to all the features and know how to use it extremely effectively. It contains extremely beautiful and creative tools. Very successful in finding the words. You're making a change. Saving documents is very successful.

### "Impossible to Use"

December 1, 2021

1.0

Very Frustrating

Pros

I only need this software to open PDFs, but it is completely incapable of fulfilling this task.

Cons

As of recently, whenever opening a PDF document, it opens it in a web browser by default. I want to open it as a PDF file that I can easily send by email. Although this seems like it should be an easy fix, it is not. Originally, I was experiencing this problem on Adobe Acrobat DC. It had informed me that my trial had expired, so I then downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to try opening on there. This software also only allowed it to be opened on a browser, so I sought help on the website. I found a link that provided instructions on how to prevent PDFs from opening on a browser. However, after meticulously following the instructions step by step, I eventually reached a point where the buttons that I was told to press in the preferences tab were not even available at all for me to press on this application. I sought assistance from a chat bot which only provided me a link to seek more help. The link brought me to a customer forum, where a similar question was asked, but never answered by Adobe. I then requested to the chat bot to call a service number for help. I was brought to a page that required that I input a serial number for my product without any explanation of how I could locate such a number on my product. I have been working to solve this problem all day long and am still yet to surface a solution. I am very disappointed by how difficult this service is to use, and I will not be buying any of Adobe's products in the future.

### "You can't beat cheap as free. But for a little more you could get a lot more and better experience."

February 1, 2018

3.0

Pros

Using Adobe native software is the best way to get 100% compatibility with the range of PDF documents and forms strewn across the web. If you dig into the settings, DC's features as a viewer are quite robust. The interface meanwhile remains mostly functional, although somewhat clunky and with odd gaps in what can or cannot be customized. Were it not for resource usage issues detailed in the Cons section, it could still be as outstanding as it once was.

Cons

Adobe, like many large software publishers seems intent on testing the limits of how much questionably useful, basic functionality and interface gee-whizzery they can cram into what really should be a streamlined, lightning quick viewer app. What am I trying to say? Reader DC, far moreso than Reader XI will test the limits of your system resources, while doing basically the same job that Reader versions have done for years and years. There are free (and some open source) reader alternatives which still prioritize responsiveness. I will admit that of these alternatives, they still often seem to struggle with compatibility - using Adobe native reader is still the only way to guarantee maximum compatibility.

### "There's nothing like Adobe Reader "

February 11, 2020

5.0

Using adobe reader ensures that what I send to my clients is exactly what they will see. I can rest assured that the document format will not change. Also, using PDFs ensures that the client will not edit the document I'm sending. Overall, using PDF is way more professional than using regular word documents.

Pros

The adobe reader is a standard! When you send a document in PDF, you know how the other person will see it. With other tools (e.g. Microsoft word), sometimes the exact same document shows totally different in a different computer. Using PDFs eliminate any incompatibility issues and ensure that what you're sending is what the person will be seeing.

Cons

The only con is that in some computers you have to install a plugin to be able to open PDF files. However, most of the browsers already support PDF natively, so you don't need to install anything.

### "Adobe Acrobat Reader Makes Completing Forms Simpler "

October 8, 2022

5.0

Pros

When clients send me documents to fill out, sometimes they are in Microsoft Word. I can convert the Word document to PDF file and fill it out. I don't have a scanner, so when I need to sign anything I just use Adobe Acrobat Reader. My signature is already stored in the software. Also, I can use the text function to add dates, addresses, and phone numbers.

Cons

The only issue I have is that sometimes when I try to use Adobe Acrobat Reader, it won't let me save, especially when I have to fill out a W-9 Form. I have to use another software in order to complete this type of form.

### "Seamless Conversion from phone pics to documents"

August 30, 2018

5.0

I work with property mgrs all over the country who have vendors texting pics of invoices. I can get them and clean them up and turn them into a proper document for the property owners that are clear and easy to print or share with their tax person. Edit and Organize large documents and send them out protected and ready for signature. If I need a form - it's easy to do.

Pros

I have this app installed on all devices so whatever I reach for and no matter how I receive information from clients I can easily convert to pdf and edit those as needed. Can create forms on the fly, share them, collect signatures as needed and protect those docs. In business it's all about the paperwork - that can be digital work and shared efficiently because an informed team is an effective team.

Cons

Should come with more stamps. But downloading new stamps and importing them is fairly simple.

### "Comprehensive and Easy to Use"

September 23, 2018

5.0

Pros

I use Acrobat Reader on a daily basis at work and it's wonderful. This software makes editing PDF's a breeze, plus I love being able to sign things electronically on when needed. My work place requires a lot of PDF's to be fillable so we can share with others without the stress of having our content edited or messed up. Acrobat has made that one hundred times easier to make that happen and now I don't have to worry about sharing documents with others.

Cons

I honestly can say I don't have any cons for this software. As far as PDF software goes, there really isn't anyone else I'd turn to over Adobe. Some might say that it is rather expensive to have, but honestly, you get what you pay for and they really do provide you with an amazing software. It's definitely worth every penny.

### "A great tool for viewing PDF's."

November 7, 2023

4.0

Have been using this product for years and have always found it to be the best at the limited functionality it has.

Pros

Acrobat Reader is user friendly, easy to navigate, and constantly innovating.

Cons

Almost all functions that business users need are locked behind a very expensive pay wall. It's just a document program, no reason for it to cost more than an entire Office Suite from other companies.

### "Powerful program to make documents in PDF format."

July 18, 2018

5.0

Acrobat Reader DC has turned out to be a very useful program from every point of view. Thanks to this software I handle very well with the PDF format providing security to my work to avoid being plagiarized. It's like having a digital printer in our hands.

Pros

One of the highlights of this software is its versatility in terms of platforms. It can be used on a desktop computer. a tablet or smart phone. In the same way you can print or fill in forms with this application which makes it very attractive. I particularly use the underline function a lot, which is very useful for me. Similarly, it provides security to documents, preventing them from being modified.

Cons

I honestly do not find any disadvantages or negative aspects in this software. It has fulfilled each of my expectations as all Adobe products. It really is a very useful program.

### "Top PDF Reader"

October 24, 2022

4.0

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a great tool to view and edit PDFs. I have been using it for a while and definetly recommend it.

Pros

What I like about Adobe Acrobat Reader is its numerous PDF editing tools that allow the user to fully customize the files. The signing feature is also a great way to digitally sign documents. Adobe Acrobat Reader also has a nice User Interface with an easy streamlined toolbar.

Cons

There are couple of points I don't really like about Adobe Acrobat Reader, which are, the very strange behavior when filling PDFs. Sometimes closing, then, reopening a file will shift the entire text. Another thing is the occasional bug of corrupted file when trying to open a fully working PDF.

Pros

As a PM I need to use Acrobat all day to every day to create, edit, review, create forms and more using the tool. I can certainly confirm it is the benchmark for all PDF readers out there. All the resources are great and the ability to act like a add-on for other tools like MS office it's great.

Cons

There is a very small issue with the form creation wizard that fails to identify some fields however overall it simply works great

### "Adobe Acrobat Review"

March 17, 2020

4.0

As a freelancer writer, I would recommend ARDC to a weid variety of people, either they are writers, designers, form completion firms, or generally any company that needs to fasten the way the is executed. Also, as a reader, I would advise anyone to make use of this multifarious program to read their favorite books, rejoicing from the fact that they can mark the memorable or useful quotes, paragraphs, in order to use them later to write an article, to recall them if they are in a nostalgic mood.

Pros

You are able to arrange the pages as You want; You are capable of creating editable files; You can point out the things that seem noticeable; If You read some books on Your mobile, The application remembers the page You where when You have interrupted the reading; You can export from or in to other formats. You are free to melt multiple files into one; You can easily see the changes You made through different stages of editing and, maybe, reverse them.

Cons

There are some bugs sometimes; The application it is not able to convert well the images that contain text; An option of editing word documents without conversion would be welcomed; Some key features are missing on the full priced version; The program is a little bit expensive;
