I mostly like the software, but I get frustrated sometimes by the fact that you just can't open a file in Reader and export it in something else without closing the file. This isn't really a big deal if you remember it is open. I do like the ease of switching between PDF files in Reader and I like how easy it is to do small edits. I have no doubt that Adobe is/should be the authority when it comes to the full functionality and extensibility of such a document format. This is not only a PDF reader, it comes with tools for printing and commenting on PDF documents. The best part for me is the fact that it now connected to Adobe's Cloud. I can now access and work on my files synced across multiple devices (e.g., my home laptop, work desktop, and even on my tablet/smartphone). Lastly, I have come across PDFs (perhaps created with Acrobat) that didn't work well with other PDF readers (competition), esp when it comes to form-filling and PDF security features. I have never encountered any problems when using Adobe Reader DC. Hence, the PDF authority for me. Cons This software is huge! The installer itself is 175MB already. My only consolation is to think that the big file size is due to its comprehensiveness in terms of features. The downside is that it comes​ sometimes feel clunky, esp for older devices. The paid featured are helpful in being able to make edits, add signatures, and touch up files to make them more custom to your needs Cons Somewhat long of a learning curve especially if you use the free version where you have to do some work-arounds in order to get the file to do what you want it to. You also have the ability to password protect your pdf and write comments on it. You can also convert Microsoft office documents into pdfs with a single click. The software is intuitive and easy to use. Cons The drawback of this software is that sometimes you get that one huge file that takes ages to load and your application freezes. It has happened to me once and only with that particular file. Sometimes it feels like the user interface could have been designed better, it feels very light on the eyes. Adobe is useful when changing the way file type of documents, much more user friendly than other products. Pros I love the DC version giving more features than just the basic version. The features I like best are being able to sign documents as well as edit and fill in forms instead of having to handwrite responses. It's very convenient and easy to use. Cons I think sometimes its difficult to make changes like if you check the wrong box I have not found a way to uncheck it and check another even in edit mode. It is also way easier to edit and mark documents compared to similar products like Adobe's InDesign. Overall, this free software is a must have industry-wide. Cons While the software is free, the Pro version completely outdoes the free version. Also, as with all of Adobe's other platforms, not all fonts are installed, so sometimes you have to search out and install fonts to align with your brand. Pros Acrobat Reader DC is a great tool for viewing different types of documents. I particularly like using this program for viewing PDFs. In addition, I can also edit PDFs and make changes to pre-existing documents. This is a really great indispensable feature that I use frequently. This is one feature that other document readers don't often let their users do. However, Acrobat Reader DC allows for users to do so and I think that's great! Cons What I like the least about this software is that it can be a little laggy at times, especially when there are multiples open at the same time. However, considering the fact that this requires a subscription, I would expect there to be an application that runs a lot faster and smoother instead of constantly lagging. These often have to be edited or manipulated in some manner, and Adobe allows me to do just that without having to constantly change the format and saving multiple versions.
