Customer Success Manager Online Media Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great ad serving capabilities and fantastic customer support" December 22, 2021 4.0 Overall, Kevel has helped us build out our advertising capabilities, and the customer service team has helped us learn and improve on how we serve our ads. Pros We use Kevel to serve ads on on multiple sites. Having one platform for all of our advertisers, campaigns and reporting is a huge benefit. The user interface has a small learning curve, but once you understand how to use it, it's very easy to navigate. This is the first time we've used an ad server, and the team was friendly and helpful as we got it set up. The ongoing support is also great, and the team helps us solve problems quickly. Cons There's more to be desired with Kevel's reporting capabilities. Reports don't allow for much customization, and scheduling reports can be tricky. There are also some more basic metrics we track that are not accessible through the platform - we typically have to download reports and perform calculations on our side. It has allowed us to move previous print customers to an online platform. Pros Adzerk is easy to use. I am able to teach non tech minded staff how to create digital ads in Adzerk quite easily. I find the customer service is great, I get a reply to my question usually within the day. Our developers are often impressed how easy it is to ad serve from Adzerk onto our site. From the start of scoping out the possibilities of the tool, Kevel provided sufficient support, demos and follow-up material to make our decision easy. Support didn't stop after we signed the dotted line, we have ongoing catchups with the Kevel team and are very happy with the service provided. Pros From the point of running a proof of concept test, it was easy to integrate with our existing systems and moving over to Kevel's fully supported product was minimal effort on our side, which made for a smooth, effective rollout. Cons There were some minimal bugs with custom products we set up in the tool, however these were not crucial to our daily productivity, such as previewing an ad banner when clicking on a campaign flight level. This was available on the creative level anyway so didn't hinder performance and was fixed swiftly from the Kevel team. Reason for choosing Kevel We reviewed 3 other ad serving products alongside Kevel and decided Kevel was the best solution due to the easy-to-use interface, ease of setup with our engineers and effective support provided in the scoping/discovery phase. Cons The software itself is more complicated when wanting to implement more targeted features. Granted, this would also have to do with how your own data was implemented with the software. December 3, 2019 5.0 Overall we love this platform and use it daily. Our main reason for using Adzerk is the ability to serve ads in emails which is not doable with most other ad-servers. This ability has greatly improved our email marketing approach and has made a major impact on our ability to dynamically drive sales with shorter lead times. Pros The platform UI is intuitive, the performance is reliable and the implementation is very straightforward. The account team and technical support group are very responsive and readily available. Pros The Kevel support team has been extremely helpful as we integrated with our system, and the ability to serve digital ads across our network of publishers has been incredible. The insights we receive and our ability to customize ad campaigns are great. Cons There is some basic information that isn't accessible without parsing the log data which is inconvenient but not the end of the world. The UI is fairly easy to use. Our reps and support over the years have been responsive and willing to help troubleshoot. Cons We have a very custom integration with Adzerk so sometimes it is difficult to troubleshoot. Not customizable in terms of setting campaigns/flights to pace via creative lines. The API and UI also enabled our team to build products around them. The one thing that could be made more clear is Adzerk's roadmap and what new features are in development for 6 months in the future. Pros Adzerk's reporting API is very easy to pull the latest data from. Setting up campaigns in the UI is a seamless process. Cons The reporting feature in the UI recently has not been loading the latest data. For example, on May 28, I pulled several reports in the UI and each time a new report loaded it would show the data from the first report. The reporting API should also show conversions. We love how easily we've been able to configure Adzerk to work with our business model. In addition, the customer support has been amazing. Every time we've jumped on a call with them they've 10X value with their guidance and advice. Cons As others have mentioned, the UI isn't perfect and the help documentation doesn't always fit the bill, but their outstanding customer service overshadows any of these minor issues. Pros I love that this platform is super easy to use and allows us to manage and produce all of the customizations that we need in order to host ads on our sites for our partners. Cons I do not really have any complaints about this software. If I had to say something, I would say that sometimes the interface sections, between the groups and flights, and actual ads themselves, can be difficult to find which ad is where, or what you are editing. We have been using them for only a short amount of time, and I'm sure that things will only get better as we continue our partnership. Pros The team we've worked with, both through implementation and now using the product on a day-to-day basis, has been great. They're very helpful, responsive, and most are extremely knowledgeable. Cons There are a lot of options for setup, but we've found that sometimes what we need isn't supported with these options.
