Pros: Used this software for years (may be 5 years or more?), started when it was OpenX. The prettiest thing is easy to install and use, very low entry threshold, so it can be used by business of any size and even individuals with very low maintenance costs. Meets most requirements for small/med-size business, serves common ad formats, has pretty flexible ad targeting, extensible with 3-rd party plugins. Moreover open-source and written in PHP so can be customized pretty easily and in budget.

Cons: Lack of APIs - needs third-party (paid) extensions, thus not easy to integrate with other systems like billing, CRM etc.

Inconvenient, old-school Web UI

Overall: I using it as ad server for my websites which allows me to host ads both from my direct customers and from the ad networks like Google Adsense.

Easiest and quickest way to start advertising in your website on low cost.

Pros: It's free and open source, then you have almost no cost on start serving ads on your website. If you have a good team of developers you can customize it and have new features.

Cons: Being free and open source have also some cons. The dependence of wait for community updates to fix issues and security problems maybe can impact your business.

Overall: Serving ads on my sites for more than 7 years on low cost
