Pros: Super powerful and valuable for its automatic applications, security, data integrity oriented and the backup and recovery features. Reliable for any volume of data and transactions.

Cons: Not many updates or improves for a very long time. Forcing to move your data to the cloud. For some that's not an answer. However I recommend it.

Overall: DB2 is relatively simple to maintain and performs very well.

Robust database engine, but takes quite a bit of getting use to.
