Pros: The performance is pretty fast as the Qemu runs code directly on host CPU and supports emulation of many processor based boards. Qemu can support ARM/power PC CPUs and on host OS can be windows/linux/MacOS.

Cons: Learning curve is steep. Also the harddisk image format supported does not have standard features like journalling.

Overall: One of the best and only emulator supporting wide variety of platforms.
