Cons Una de las contras que me encontré, respecto al software anterior, es la necesidad de entrenar también los fallos, por muy extraños que sean, ya que si no podría dar problemas a la larga. Pros The software is easily learnable, the adjustments for the aperture or shutter speed can be set up quickly and is easy enough that I now trust that my quality operators to complete this process on their own. We have been able to now set up the camera process independent of the production task as to not cause any scrap production parts because of a lighting issue Cons The integration to production was completely set up wrong. The photo process should of been integrated separate from the production process. Cameras were set up to be way too sensitive for the process in which it was purchased to do. Till now, I didn't use it in a project. Pros This software was shown in a demo, and I can confirm it was no trick.. it is amazingly powerful AI for image recognition. Without teaching, but based on training. Cons AI makes decisions based on ehhh... yeah what?? But it works... However if you need to explain the work for approvement or so, it is hard to do. I've seen (live!) demos. Not played, but just-in-time programmed. And the outcome of a 15 minutes exercise was already 99% success! Cons It is new. And unpreditcable in terms of mathematics. Pros I've seen this software in action at our local Cognex dealer. It was not a nice-prepared demo, but a real application. As vision engineer I can confirm this case was very very hard to solve with normal vision tools. But ViDi did it is just 1 hour. Okay, the Cognex engineer was experienced with the interface, but the algorithms where not tuned. The output was.... well, again one word; WOW! Cons Maybe a technician may have the feeling that he is loosing control about the algorithms. On the other hand; if ViDi gets amazing better performance, why in the world would I have the need to relay on my own knowledge?
