I don't think our facility ever wants to imagine trying to operate without a Vocera device. The expanding hospital will only show how great the need is and getting these deployed to new staff is critical.

Pros

Our staff love having Vocera. The idea was brought to the attention of leadership through a nurse on the acute floor. This offer was necessary for our staff because of our growing facility and the need for functional and quick access to other staff members in different locations. They are easily worn around the neck or on the clip of a shirt.

Cons

Sometimes the Vocera can seem to be disruptive during meetings because staff always have them on - that is the point... but during a meeting that shouldn't be disrupted the device can be intrusive. A wrong click and the caller is connected through the Vocera and then the meeting may be heard.
