Pros I like how you can build an interactive and animated prototype so easily. Some of the key features like adding sound and exporting video of the whole interaction are deal breakers. 3d rotation is quite easy with flinto which help me explore another dimension in design. The community is growing strong and very helpful, if you are stuck you can ask questions and someone will help. Cons Nothing so far works well for ​interaction and animation. So easy to use and the customer service Department has been so helpful answering any questions i have about the software. Pros I like how easy to use this app is. We use this app to make our ideas and prototypes come to life. Its so simple to set up the app and they have so many options to better help the customer. Like 3d and sketch options! Cons So far i have absolutely no complaints about this app. Its all been positive and honestly life changing for our business. Pros You can quickly prototype digital application workflows using Flinto. As a result of its integration with Sketch, all of your artboards are automatically connected, allowing you to begin creating click-paths, animations, and transitions. The process of design iteration is greatly accelerated. Cons The options and features of this software are less extensive than those of its rivals. Pros Animations and transitions are an important part of my day to day work. Flinto has made working with other software like Sketch seamless. I use Flinto to finish designs and refine them by adding animations and transitions that need to be communicated to the devs. Best part is, a lot of the transitions and animations can be easily translated into code. For the most part, it's a very beginner friendly software if you are new to animations. Cons I would love to see more sharing capabilities. Currently, it's very limited. There are instances in which I'd like to be able to share designs with engineers, but it's hard to share an interactive prototype with them. The ability to send a text or email with a interactive prototype would be very helpful. Pros Flinto helps in better understanding of the application. After designing part we face the issue of flow of the app. By flinto we make the connection as per our flow of the application. By connecting each other they are move yo the next place. First we load all the screens here and then we go one by one connecting them. It is easy and less time taken process and user will feel the actual thing going in the app. Real app have the same flow as in the flinto. Cons It must be more specifically uniquely identify where we are going to make the connection. If application is of more than 100 pages then if you want to change flow it makes difficult at that time just like impossible. You have to start from begining. Review Source Zach S. It runs natively on your phone, adding so much more to the end experience. I've used it for everything, from showcasing projects, to putting great prototypes in the hands of users. Pros Flinto is a really user friendly software that allows you to create complex and sophisticated animations quite effortlessly. It integrates perfectly with other softwares, and runs just like a native app on your phone. Cons Unfortunately Flinto doesn't allow you to create interactions based on independent components, instead of just animating a screen transition. it'd make this software even more powerful. From there, some others designers started to use it. Pros Flinto is a very good alternative to make UI animations and interactions. Unlike other softwares like After Effects, Flinto is focused on User Interfaces, that said, you'll find very easy to create a mobile app animation on the software. Cons The free trial is very short. I would like to use it a little bit more. although it is intuitive, you need to watch some tutorials before in order to understand how the flow works. Once you have learned the basics, you can create more complex interactions. The process is really fast! :) Another nice feature is that both texts and vector shapes are editable. Cons However, I found out that the app can start working slowly if you work on a complex prototype. As a result a video you record becomes not smooth and buggy. Hope this issue will be fixed soon. Pros I'm a regular principle user and this is actually easier to use than principle. Same idea as tools in the same industry(animation/interaction design and prototyping), but I actually enjoyed the functions, features and UI a lot more than the others. Cons Becomes irrelevant with tools like ProtoPie, or Adobe XD's auto-animate features. Also, pricing model on a subscription mode isn't my favorite compared to Principle and others one time fee. July 2, 2018 5.0 Flinto is a great way to produce basic transitions on macOS. Pros Flinto integrates seamlessly with Sketch and is a really simple way to create native-looking prototypes on macOS that can be previewed on your iOS devices. Cons Flinto lacks the customized and complex interactions that can be produced by competitor apps like Framer. Also, with Framer, it is easier to manage in same-page prototypes with states in code, than to manually configure everything in Flinto.
