It was a very easy software to use and it integrates so well with other services. Pros Hands down the easiest way to capture the jobsite specifics. I can measure, take pictures, and talk my notes as I'm working. The AI reader is fantastic. Makes sure I never miss a thing. Cons Honestly just having a cheaper version. I've used it with a bigger construction company before but I don't need all the bells and whistles now so it would be nice to have a more cost effective or lite version. We use it for everything from cover our butts to accountability Pros Ease of use, and Integrations. It ties directly with my CRM. Navigation through the software on the computer and the app is super easy. The collaboration is awesome as well. Cons Zooming in on pictures has issues some time, but this is hardly a complaint. There really isn't anything I could pick apart. We have been using it for about 2+ years now and we don't plan on canceling. Pros The website and app are both easy to navigate and user friendly. Easily stores all of our pictures of jobs so we are able to share with clients or other subcontractors. Cons I wish there was a way to combine 2 properties. We can also automate certain workflows with templates and other efficiencies offered by the software. Cons We would like to see even more customization within the templates section of CompanyCam. It’s a cloud based system so I can share it with other employees Cons Genuinely I don’t have any complaints that come to mind about CompanyCam. I can take all the pictures I want from the job and it will automatically uploads the pictures to JobNimbus where I do all the work orders and invoicing. Pros The fact that it works so perfectly with JobNimbus. It makes the jobs a lot easier.Having the pictures I took of the job in the same place where I will do my invoicing helps a lot. It is very helpful to be able to create reports for certain clients (like house repairs needed for a real estate sale). Having a checklist for generator services is helpful to the technicians because they have to answer questions and/or add pictures for each step of the process. That way we can have a thorough record of the maintenance preformed. Pros I like the ability to make reports and check lists for jobs. The ability to take pictures and videos of jobs and job sites is very helpful. The checklists are valuable because it helps us to make sure that each step of the job is completed. Cons The integration with Field Pulse has been challenging. We do a lot of agricultural work and the fields, ditch pumps, and pivots do not have specific "addresses", so we use coordinates. Very unprofessional. Pros originally the organization it provided to customers. Cons the customer service is a joke. I have been using it daily for a bit over a year now, and it has been CRUCIAL to my day to day work. This program integrates seamlessly with BUILDER PRIME, making it so easy to create, document, quote, and build new jobs! This program also allows my installers to see previous jobs when they may need to touch something up and want a visual comparison. Thanks company cam!!!! Pros My favorite things about company cam are the Al’s features allowing me to enter a neighborhood and confidently know who I may have already spoken with in the past. It is a very useful feature when building value with the customer. Being able to pull up pictures of the customers neighbors job for reinforcement of why they should choose me, as clearly those around them have! Cons Really I don’t have any real cons. Occasionally the gps software is off by a few feet but they get around that by allowing you to type in the address. Have a complete picture from start to finish on bidding, job start, and completion. Easy to use and access company cam delivers exceptional value for the money and unifies the entire team. Document previous damage, point out things that are not obvious, and tag in teammates as you need. The ease and efficiency are unmatched. Cons Honestly, It fits our needs so well I'm not sure it is missing much. one thing I would like is to be able to record videos longer than 2 mins. the solution is to just record multiple videos. " January 11, 2018 5.0 The benefits of using CompanyCam would be increased communication in the office and with customers, increased productivity because all progress is being photographed and time tracked, better "photographic" memory of past problems at projects, and the ability to prove what the project looked like before we started working. CompanyCam has been an invaluable resource with employee accountability. Our employees take photos throughout the day so my manager can better understand the effectively or lack their of on the job. We are able to communicate better with homeowners with photos which allows us to clarify problem areas on the projects and explain those easier. Finally CompanyCam gives us absolute proof of issues that were on the project before we got there. For example we saved money this year by showing a homeowner that the dent in their gutter was there before we roofed their house, same story with cracks in driveways, and deteriorated siding. CompanyCam makes it easy for my guys in the field to take the photos I have wanted them to take for years. Now we actually do get the photos and save them correctly. Pros The best part of the software is the ability to see what all of my guys are up to out in the field and communicate with photos. I have had hundreds of conversations with employees in the field who are able to explain their problems to me with photos so that I know we are on the same page. Plus I can see the progress of the job throughout the day to make sure everyone is on task. Cons Every once in a while we would have duplicate addresses which was frustrating. I think this has been corrected. This allows us to coordinate field work with the office without the need for frequent email chains and in-person meetings. Pros CompanyCam is designed with user-friendliness in mind. This makes it extremely easy to pick up and use, with minimal training. Most of its features work in an intuitive way and make it easy to streamline the administrative side of the process. It is relatively simple, with excellent functionality and usability that makes it essential to project administration. Cons In the capacity that I use it, this is a web-based software. I generally prefer to use dedicated apps rather than a browser-based program, however this also makes it easily accessible from any device, without having to install it. The tagging feature is a bit unintuitive to work with, and I repeatedly find myself editing a job's tags rather than searching for tagged jobs. Review Source KC Kyler C. Pros Customer service and ease of use. Their tech department is great. Not only will they sit on a call with you and walk you through hiccups, they will FaceTime you on a zoom call. We use it for CYA, status updates, arrival/departure times, if it has to do with the field talking to the office this is what we use. Pros Super easy to deploy, everyone can use it without much training. Allows us to document all the steps of the project and not have to explain things, rather look at the picture Cons Documents are a seperate section and not well integrated into the stream of pictures (should allow conversion of document into picture to use like any other picture). No email notification function. Ocasional connectivity problems without internet to pull up accounts. Would love for them to add a timeclock (already have the gps and job information to avoid another app).Checklists with email notifications to other users would be a great addition as well.Hopefully these are in their roadmap. Cons Seems to integrate well with some apps like Sumo Quote for example. Some file viewing is not always user friendly becuase you can rotate the file but not on a page by page basis. We used to store all of our customer's jobsite photos in files on our company server and this took up so much space!!! The computers ran slow and it was just a mess. Now that we have Company Cam any of our employees can log in and upload photos to a customer file via PC or their smartphones. It's super fast and user friendly. We can make different projects on Company Cam for a customer so that their pre, during and post photos are all separated. We can make photo reports of the pictures we take instantly which is also very important. Company Cam is worth EVERY PENNY. Pros We love Company Cam. We utilize it mainly for keeping all of our customer's jobsite photos in one place. Everything is clean and super user friendly to search for the customer name or address and all of their photos pop up. The report feature is also very nice! Pros Company Cam is something we could not live without everyday, because it makes it very easy to document and annotate pics for support on all sides of the business from estimating to invoicing. Cons There is not much to say that company cam is missing, within our API with Job Nimbus It would be helpful if the reports that are made within a file are automatically carried over into Job Nimbus.
