It doesn’t take a lot of effort or training to go from being a novice to an expert. Makes my job a lot easier. Pros I love that it is a standalone app and when I use it to take photos, the photos don’t download to my phone Cons Since it is Internet based, sometimes when I am out in an area with a low signal, it becomes difficult to use. They even worked with us to create custom checklists and fields for our needs. Pros We use Comlany Cam for our constructiin field management projects. It is awesome. Unlimited photos, checklists, lables, everything is customizable and easy to use. Cons I wish you could filter files/projects by "no label" we used labels and could filter projects with certain labels but you cant see just the ones with no label. It was a very easy software to use and it integrates so well with other services. Pros Hands down the easiest way to capture the jobsite specifics. I can measure, take pictures, and talk my notes as I'm working. The AI reader is fantastic. Makes sure I never miss a thing. Cons Honestly just having a cheaper version. I've used it with a bigger construction company before but I don't need all the bells and whistles now so it would be nice to have a more cost effective or lite version. We use it for everything from cover our butts to accountability Pros Ease of use, and Integrations. It ties directly with my CRM. Navigation through the software on the computer and the app is super easy. The collaboration is awesome as well. Cons Zooming in on pictures has issues some time, but this is hardly a complaint. There really isn't anything I could pick apart. We have been using it for about 2+ years now and we don't plan on canceling. Pros The website and app are both easy to navigate and user friendly. Easily stores all of our pictures of jobs so we are able to share with clients or other subcontractors. Cons I wish there was a way to combine 2 properties. Pros We love how our technicians who are on roofs all day can easily use company cam in the field to relay to our back end what is going on Cons Sometimes company cam crashes and we really depend on it here so it's not good when that does happen. It’s a cloud based system so I can share it with other employees Cons Genuinely I don’t have any complaints that come to mind about CompanyCam. We can also automate certain workflows with templates and other efficiencies offered by the software. Cons We would like to see even more customization within the templates section of CompanyCam. Very unprofessional. Pros originally the organization it provided to customers. Cons the customer service is a joke. I would take this system over all others I tested. The one draw back is the address/location duplication Pros Ease of use, intuitive, it really is super easy to use! It integrates with JobNimbus our CRM Cons It duplicates addresses when you go to the address more than once. The sales/auditor has to notice that the address is duplicated, which doesn't always happen...and delete one, or sometimes 2 of them. I wish there was a way for the system to recognize the duplication and not allow the 2nd or 3rd record to be made without some sort of distinguishing name or notation.The only other item that needs work is collaborators. It works to add a collaborator via email, but sending it via text almost always leads to issues. If this were fixed the technology is excellent Reason for choosing CompanyCam WE were using the photo function within JobNimbus which isn't near as robust as company cam. Review Source JR John R. I have been using it daily for a bit over a year now, and it has been CRUCIAL to my day to day work. This program integrates seamlessly with BUILDER PRIME, making it so easy to create, document, quote, and build new jobs! This program also allows my installers to see previous jobs when they may need to touch something up and want a visual comparison. Thanks company cam!!!! Pros My favorite things about company cam are the Al’s features allowing me to enter a neighborhood and confidently know who I may have already spoken with in the past. It is a very useful feature when building value with the customer. Being able to pull up pictures of the customers neighbors job for reinforcement of why they should choose me, as clearly those around them have! Cons Really I don’t have any real cons. Occasionally the gps software is off by a few feet but they get around that by allowing you to type in the address. April 4, 2022 5.0 Overall we have gone back and forth deciding if this is the best program for us. We went through a period where our new CRM offered a very very similar feature. We tried it for a little over a month and reconvened to decide if we should use the feature that we are already getting included in a package we are paying for, or continue to pay for this third party program (company cam!). In the end, it was unanimous, nothing compares to the ease and functionality of Company Cam! Pros We love being able to track our project's progress and share the links with homeowners and insurance companies so everyone can see exactly what our contractors do, step by step Cons We really do love company cam. There have been times when we are at a project far outside the perimeter of Atlanta and our service is not great. In those times, sometimes pictures won't load, or we can't share our link with homeowners during our mid-morning check in. It seems unlikely that has something to do with company cam. Ultimately, that is a phone service issue! " January 11, 2018 5.0 The benefits of using CompanyCam would be increased communication in the office and with customers, increased productivity because all progress is being photographed and time tracked, better "photographic" memory of past problems at projects, and the ability to prove what the project looked like before we started working. CompanyCam has been an invaluable resource with employee accountability. Our employees take photos throughout the day so my manager can better understand the effectively or lack their of on the job. We are able to communicate better with homeowners with photos which allows us to clarify problem areas on the projects and explain those easier. Finally CompanyCam gives us absolute proof of issues that were on the project before we got there. For example we saved money this year by showing a homeowner that the dent in their gutter was there before we roofed their house, same story with cracks in driveways, and deteriorated siding. CompanyCam makes it easy for my guys in the field to take the photos I have wanted them to take for years. Now we actually do get the photos and save them correctly. Pros The best part of the software is the ability to see what all of my guys are up to out in the field and communicate with photos. I have had hundreds of conversations with employees in the field who are able to explain their problems to me with photos so that I know we are on the same page. Plus I can see the progress of the job throughout the day to make sure everyone is on task. Cons Every once in a while we would have duplicate addresses which was frustrating. I think this has been corrected. This allows us to coordinate field work with the office without the need for frequent email chains and in-person meetings. Pros CompanyCam is designed with user-friendliness in mind. This makes it extremely easy to pick up and use, with minimal training. Most of its features work in an intuitive way and make it easy to streamline the administrative side of the process. It is relatively simple, with excellent functionality and usability that makes it essential to project administration. Cons In the capacity that I use it, this is a web-based software. I generally prefer to use dedicated apps rather than a browser-based program, however this also makes it easily accessible from any device, without having to install it. The tagging feature is a bit unintuitive to work with, and I repeatedly find myself editing a job's tags rather than searching for tagged jobs. Review Source KC Kyler C. Pros Customer service and ease of use. Their tech department is great. Not only will they sit on a call with you and walk you through hiccups, they will FaceTime you on a zoom call. Cons Seems to integrate well with some apps like Sumo Quote for example. Some file viewing is not always user friendly becuase you can rotate the file but not on a page by page basis. We used to store all of our customer's jobsite photos in files on our company server and this took up so much space!!! The computers ran slow and it was just a mess. Now that we have Company Cam any of our employees can log in and upload photos to a customer file via PC or their smartphones. It's super fast and user friendly. We can make different projects on Company Cam for a customer so that their pre, during and post photos are all separated. We can make photo reports of the pictures we take instantly which is also very important. Company Cam is worth EVERY PENNY. Pros We love Company Cam. We utilize it mainly for keeping all of our customer's jobsite photos in one place. Everything is clean and super user friendly to search for the customer name or address and all of their photos pop up. The report feature is also very nice! Pros Company Cam is something we could not live without everyday, because it makes it very easy to document and annotate pics for support on all sides of the business from estimating to invoicing. Cons There is not much to say that company cam is missing, within our API with Job Nimbus It would be helpful if the reports that are made within a file are automatically carried over into Job Nimbus.
