My experience with the individuals at Intranet Connections has always been positive. They are always cheery and very informed. I have had the pleasure of speaking with the \[sensitive content hidden\], on multiple occasions, and you can tell that he genuinely cares for the product and is informed on some of the most technical details that I would normally assume only backend technicians would feel confident outlining. The representatives I have worked with have also been great and have clearly communicated concerns/bugs to the relevant department. They keep us informed on updates, changes, etc. without us having to reach out first, which is always appreciated.

Pros

My favorite thing about IC Thrive is the timely and communicative support we receive on a consistent basis. Any issue is promptly assigned and worked by a tech, with resolutions typically taking less than a week to be implemented.Another great point is that they do take into consideration user suggestions; many ideas or systems that we have suggested or implemented into our own environment have been adopted into the IC workflow and/or scheduled for future updates. You can tell that they truly do care for their userbase and are always looking for ways to improve their own systems.

Cons

\[My thoughts/review do not represent the entirety of the Organization\]I have had some difficulty in figuring out where to find certain settings/features. Some of the layouts and workflows are quite involved, and while the knowledge base is very helpful, you'll always find something unique that you are attempting that is not outlined. Support is quick to help, but some of the systems are not as intuitive as they could be, in my opinion (the layout of settings, for example.)I will mention that a lot of the critiques I have voiced to the team have been implemented into future patches/updates, which I have previewed. So, while they may not be as intuitive as possible now, I do not expect this to be the case long-term.

Pros

I love the variety of options available with Intranet Connections for our business. It's been a game-changer for us. Their compliance features ensure we meet regulatory requirements and maintain data security. The platform is intuitive for our employees, and we use it constantly. And Intranet Connections service is impeccable!

Cons

We chose to host Intranet Connections on our own server. If I were to do it again, we'd choose to host it in the cloud. This way, Intranet Connections handles all updates and can trouble shoot easier if there is a question.

Overall, I have enjoyed working with this company. Their customer service team has always been helpful and ready to help when needed. They offered an intranet optimization program a couple years ago that was so beneficial for us to learn the best ways to optimize the service and get it updated to match the times. This allowed us to really dig into employee engagement and recognition opportunities to enrich the culture of our organization. We have been able to connect individuals and create an environment where information can be shared and tracked, people can be recognized for their achievements while cutting down on emails, and staff can stay informed on upcoming events, news, and changes.

Pros

The customizability of the platform is great. I was able to find a part of the system that was helpful for each of the areas that we were looking to improve, including employee recognition, knowledge management, and internal communications. The features provided are very user friendly and have helped us connect people and departments internally that previously lacked a platform for communication.

Cons

There is a strong learning curve as you might have with any new platform. With more customizability, comes more things to understand about posting new content. Recently, we have also had some difficulty getting our systems to update with theirs. The customer service has been great over the past couple of years, however, with some turnover in their company recently, we have been passed to new individuals and are now having a hard time moving forward with updates.

The biggest thing I can say is that you can have non-technical people update your intranet. that is impactful. It requires small training, but it is not hard. Being able to do this quickly and easily allows more critical resources to be available for other things and allows you to effectively manage it be opening it to even entry-level positions.

Pros

The best part of intranet is the navigation and use of screen real estate. Its no busy and its not empty. Its not too simple or overcomplicated. This allows for new people to join and understand it while at the same time empowering advanced users to really engage with the product. These same properties apply to intranet connections other areas and modules like document libraries, activity updates, adding webpages and customizing them.

Cons

employee directory searching is hard because it refreshes when you are typing. We also have an issue whereby we have all of our users on Azure active directory. When they try to login, they are prompted for the wrong credentials using edge. There is an authentication compatibility issues with edge users using azure AD authentication with their windows accounts. We have gotten around this by standardizing on chrome.

Cons

From the configuration and setup perspective, It's not easy to find things. If you manage the system regularly it might be easier but if you only jump into the system from time to time and as needed to make small changes, you may find it difficult to remember how to do things. This is about setup and not general use, general use is easy.

We have used IC for seven years and enjoy the site we created and the customer service is also helpful when needed.

Pros

Creating forms and customizable approval process has worked great. We utilize booking meeting rooms and our corporate condo with a calendar and approval hierarchy for tracking and history. We also use forms and created an online order apparel page for uniforms, company logo hats and shirts etc.

Cons

Our biggest concern is an increasingly low employee engagement each year. This is due to the majority of our company being on the road all day and only utilizing mobile devices. It's difficult to VPN into the server and view the site. More customization with the look and feel would be desired. It would be nice to integrate the calendar booking options with our O365 calendars.

Reasons for choosing Intranet Connections

Ease of use and time. We purchase the product and trained users all within 30 -60 days.
